I got a message Firefox software was not updating. I was sent a download in .exe link. ALL of my tabs are not accessing the addresses. I checked Restore All Crashed Tabs. No resets are happening.

Is this due to a bug in the upgrade? What are Mozilla's actions to fix this. I have used Firefox successfully on my high end HP OMEN PC. I do all I can to avoid Microsoft, Google, etc.

I need HELP.

I did the new browser update. It wiped out all of the back ups of all of my profiles on my system in the User profiles. I need to get back the profile I was using yesterday. I need this urgently.

I’m using windows 11 and macOS Tahoe . The back up feature works in windows as advertised. When I came to the mac I searched in vain for the settings. I asked the AI chat bot were the settings are. There are none. I note on your web page you don’t support the mac and provide no information when this new feature will be available. This is a setback I strongly feel you should offer all features across all platforms. The browser marked is competitive and Firefox needs all the features to make Firefox stand out from all the others.

My system was hacked and I had to factory restore it. I didn't write down my login/passwords because I was informed that as long as I had my sign in for FireFox I could restore them on my system.

Alas, I cannot figure out how to do this. I do not have a passkey, a profile or anything other than the email address for my system.

Can you help me? I put all of my important documents in Dropbox and now I can;t access that either.

Anything you can do is appreciated.

Why does Mozilla say insane things like put your passwords in a safe place? Mozilla just today made mine disappear. Can the morons at Mozilla understand the problems this has caused? as the title suggests, I moved my whole profile folder to a new PC, and have since formated my old PC. I just noticed that the key4.db file is missing from the old profile folder. I have followed all instructions I managed to google, which ensured that it was enough to just copy over the old folder content into the new one, nowhere was it mentioned to look after if a key4 or key3 file are present. How is it possible that multiple of your support articles don't mention this? I am now stuck with only a json.login file from my old profile and no way to import my saved logins to the new PC.

I have set up a new Windows 11 PC (brand new installation). I installed Firefox and tried to sync, because I want to copy settings, history etc. from my Windows 10 PC.

However, it fails. I enter my password, then it asks me to enter a code sent to my email. I enter that code, and it says "Bad request" and "Something went wrong. Please close this tab and try again."

It's not the most helpful error message. All I can do is retry, but after 20+ attempts, I think there is something wrong with the 2FA.

I'm able to successfully log in to https://accounts.firefox.com/ on the browser without any issue. That uses a 2FA code from the authenticator app on my phone.

Any ideas? Is there a better way of copying my browser to the new computer? I was thinking of just copying the Firefox profile folder, but I don't want to end up with it duplicated since my Windows 10 PC is still active.

Note: I always export all bookmarks to backup file and copy that to several safe locations for needed synchronization across different browsers and also restoring them if needed. Problem: I have repeatedly selected all items in Firefox bookmarks sub-folders and then followed by importing html bookmarks thinking that I was updating my bookmarks, so all my browsers had same. Instead, what I find is duplicated sets of bookmarks building up about 10-fold so that now any search for a site yields far too many duplicate listings and it is a mess. How do I prevent this from happening and how do I actually and truly delete all boomkarks in Firefox?

Aside topic: For all the folks who have accidentally lost bookmarks, my experience with losses has lead to always having backup files of bookmarks and backup listings in word or Excel of all my settings and extensions, etc. Automation has advantages, but it introduces new headaches. I can never allow myself to believe that everything will one day be just rosy. Also, multiple different browsers can be very helpful.

Every time I try to sign in into my FF account in the browser it fails to connect to sync.

I get to the sign-in stage, it already knows my email so I'm prompted to put in my password then it sends me an email with code which I put in then I am prompted to put in my 2FA. I get signed in on a separate Mozilla accounts page but when I click on the Account icon in the top right in my browser and sync starts it immediately fails and says "Account Disconnected". I noticed that this started happening after I updated my email/updated Firefox to 131.0 (64-bit) Windows. Not sure if any of it is related.

I have tried various things like:

1. Logging in and out (multiple times) 2. Refreshing Firefox 3. Checking that I am not always using Privacy Mode (I was not) 4. Changing Profiles, changing default profiles 5. Reinstalling Firefox

Nothing solves the problem. I am now unable to see any of my bookmarks or anything from my profile because sync never works. I want to add that this is NOT a problem on Android. The issue happens only on my desktop FF installation.

I reinstalled windows, installed firefox and signed in but my bookmarks (toolbar) have not sync'd, I have bookmarks toolbar set to always show, and my android phone has firefox installed and the bookmarks are there, they just will not sync to my pc, whats up?

Hi I have lost all my browsing history and nothing I browse is saved. Also all my bookmarks have disappeared and I can't save anything even clicking on the star doesn't do anything I have quite a bit of stuff bookmarked, can you help? The browsing history and my bookmarks seemed to disappear at the same time.
