I can't recover my bookmarks. I've used both available sites and it still isn't working. "Unable to process the backup file." And when I try to recover the HTML using the converter, it says; "JSON.parse: unexpected end of data at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data".

I have created a firefox plugin, whose job is to get the cookie from the server and set it for a particular website. I have plugin with same logic for chrome as well. For firefox, I need to sometimes toggle the permissions to make it work, but suddenly the plugin has stopped working. Its not even working even with toggling the permissions, earlier this plugin was working fine. The similar plugin for chrome works perfectly well, and for that I dont need to change or toggle any permissions. I am not able to identify the issue. It would be great if someone could help me with this.

I have "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the settings, And have been using firefox in that manner for years, Like I would close the browser, And would beable to come back to what I was working on. But after an update, I came back to all my tabs gone, And I opened multiple tabs and closed, And opened the browser again and there were no more tabs. Every time I start my computer and click on Firefox it opens with a blank page, so I have to restart my computer and open Firefox again to see all my shortcuts and recent activity. Very annoying!!

Hi, firstly, I am not very technical so I will describe my issue as simply as I can. When I open my Application Menu (3 horizontal bars on the top right hand side of my screen, underneath the X) and click on the Bookmarks heading, there is a heading showing as Recent Bookmarks. This then lists bookmarks that I have used. As I do not want this list. How do I stop/get rid of this "Recent Bookmarks" heading &/or list. Thank you to anyone who can help (without a lot of jargon/computer speak).

When Firefox opens up the address is typed in at top left in small print. The center bar is there, open, but if you click on it, while the cursor blinks, when you type in an address nothing appears as it does with Google Chrome which we have replaced with Firefox. My wife finds the top left print too small and wants me to go back to Google Chrome where she can read what she has entered. I cannot find anything, anywhere which will allow her to do this. We use Thunderbird and have made a few donations over the years. Hope you can help.

I subscribed to an educational series that includes several kinds of presentation, including MP3, PDF, and video. The videos do not work. Not at all. I was directed to try a different browser, which I did: microsoft edge. The videos play using that browser.

I MUCH prefer to use Firefox -- do not like anything microsoft, but here we are, trapped in bill gates' monopoly.

I looked at "settings" but was not able to see anything there I thought would allow these videos to play in firefox. Be advised, I am NOT a computer person, so anything you might suggest, please be very literal, specific and define any acronyms -- do not assume I know anything about this stuff, because I don't -- I do not speak computer.

Again, I MUCH prefer to use firefox so I am hoping you can help me to watch these videos in firefox. The website is Goodness Lover (weird name, I know) it deals with diet, microbiome research etc.

I log into my bank account. I can see and control my checking and savings pages normally. When I click on my credit card page all I get is a blank page with the message "Working on it" it worked fine but opened a little slow prior to 127.01 or 127.0. I'm not sure which version it started failing in. However, it all works fine in Brave as does YouTube. I don't want to switch browsers or have multiple browsers and I would prefer one that doesn't depend on Google but I also need to be able to depend on it. I am running win 11 on my new computer but my old computer and laptop are win 10 with Firefox 127.02 and my bank account sight works fine. The only problem is the YouTube problem and that's across all of my computers.

I see this is a known bug but this bookmark sidebar has suddenly started to appear on my desktop when ever I open Firefox and there seems to be no understandable method to turn it off although there are several arcane techniques that require me to go to weird places and change the names of files. No indication of what the unintended consequences of that might be. Is this something you can fix? Will the next update. This is really frustrating. Help please. So to be sure, I do not consider the challenge of getting into the pants of a program to fix a bug to be fun, exciting, interesting, etc. This is a tool and my browser is acting up. That is a pain in the butt not an adventure.

Since the last update (I'm on 127.0.2) or at least very recently in the last 2 weeks, my tabs previously closed with Firefox as a whole that should open with Firefox, on start up, don't and I'm redirected to my homepage.

(I have tried finding help on other posts of the same nature but can't seem to make it work hence the new post.)

I have tried changing my homepage to verify it was redirecting me to it. It did. I have tried restarting my computer. Didn't work. I have tried disabling and re-enabling the options. Didn't work. I have tried all this on my work and personal computer. Same results. (They do not share the same settings)

I feel like Firefox opens my previous tabs, opens Firefox once again on the homepage and then closes the window with all tabs. I'm saying this because it happened 2 to 4 times that after I restart my computer, it opens 2 windows on 2 different windows desktops like I did when I worked before. (with the previously closed window on the second window opened...) Also, another reason for me to believe this is : the newly opened windows have a format which I used to open my second and third Firefox windows with that were very different from my first one (usually full screen).

I am lost at what I could try to do to fix the issue. I'm not sure how much of what I shared can help to find a solution so I tried to dump as much related info as I could.
