Is there a way to make it not reset after closing the browser completely..

I noticed twice.. not sure if it resets after a specific time has passed by. I notice it the next day...

the list I started no longer there.

I used unsigned extension at Firefox ESR, according to the this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox I toggled the setting about signature to false. At the previous revision (I don't know the exact revision, but it might be this year), it works well and an unsigned extension was installed well.

I updated the browser and re-installed the unsigned extension to update. To install the unsigned extension, i tried to drag-and-drop the .zip file (extension) at 'about:addon', but error occurs, saying "이 부가 기능은 손상된 것 같으므로 설치할 수 없습니다." (I think, this is translation of the following:"This add-on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt.") So I added the unsigned extension through 'about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox'. Then the unsigned extension is installed, but it is deleted when I close firefox.

Could you let me know how to install the unsigned extension?

Hello everyone. I make backups of folder "bookmarkbackups" in Firefox profile folder, so that when I have to make a restore after a data loss (for whatever reason), I can also restore my bookmarks. I'd like to be able to restore my extensions too, and to do this it would be enough to have a backup of the list of extensions I had installed before the trouble happened. However, if I backup the subfolder "extensions" of the profile folder, I would have a list of files the name of which looks like:

FirefoxColor@mozilla.com.xpi idcac-pub@guus.ninja.xpi uBlock0@raymondhill.net.xpi vpn@proton.ch.xpi {3d92ddc3-5581-453f-ad9f-d9ea864d1f9a}.xpi {531906d3-e22f-4a6c-a102-8057b88a1a63}.xpi

..so that in most cases I cannot guess the extension name from the file name. My purpose is to install manually the extensions in the new browser installation, once I have the list of the extensions. Moreover, in that folder you find all the extensions, both the ones which were active, and the ones which were inactive... But I'd like to have a list of the active ones so that I can re-install only that ones.

Does anyone know how can I get such a list, starting from the profile folder?

I got a message in my add-ons that an Extension called VNNet was disabled I was not able to get a quick screenshot of it, but I dont recall installing an extension like that

I'm having problems with AOL ad blockers. The program says that I have ad blocker plus turned on in my Firefox extensions. I turned everything off in the exension menu and still have the same issue.

Several extensions were recently deleted without my input. Among them were Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials, Keeper Password Manager, and Apple's iCloud Password autofill. I know there were others, but I cannot even recall which ones they were. Not sure if this happened after the most recent update or later, but it happened at some point in the last 24 hours given that today is 3-15-2026 12:30 pm PST. I only discovered this when a tab popped up in Firefox asking me to complete a survey as to why I uninstalled Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials, which in fact I NEVER did. See attached pic. Nor did I uninstall any of the aforementioned, et. al. Thanks Mozilla for f'ing up my settings and overall browsing experience across all of my devices without my consent.

My extension is enabled but site data permissions for its target websites are turned off by default for some users.

This causes the extension to silently do nothing on those sites until the user manually grants permissions..

is this a firefox issue and is there a way to prevent this .

my extension works fine on chrome.

What i need is: 1) Turn on extension on specific sites (like for government) 2) Do not load extension on specific sites

So there should be Order Allow,Deny and reverse Order Deny,Allow And two rules Deny *://example.com/* Allow *://example.com/some/*

Dear Everyone, Facing issue with deploying Configuration Profile for Extension Settings via Intune. I have already imported the "firefox.admx and mozilla.admx". then i created the firefox Extension using OMA-URI as show below

Initial setup

   Download the latest release from our GitHub page and unzip the file.
   Open the file firefox.admx in an editor.
   Sign in to Microsoft Intune at https://intune.microsoft.com.
   Click Devices then Configuration (https://intune.microsoft.com/#view/Microsoft_Intune_DeviceSettings/DevicesMenu/~/configuration).
   Click Create on the Policies tab and then New Policy.
   Select Windows 10 and Later as the platform and Templates as the profile. Click Custom and then click Create.
   Type Firefox Configuration or any descriptive name.
   Enter an optional description.
   Click Next.
   Click Add.
   Enter a name like Firefox ADMX.
   Enter an optional description.
   For the OMA-URI, enter ./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/ConfigOperations/ADMXInstall/Firefox/Policy/FirefoxAdmx.
   Select String for the Data type.
   Copy all of the text from the firefox.admx file into the Value field.
   Click Add. 

After deployed to production getting error -2016281112

Outcome is: Setting name: ExtensionSettings [./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Firefox~Policy~firefox~Extensions/ExtensionSettings] ----error code -2016281112

2. FirefoxAdmx [./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/ConfigOperations/ADMXInstall/Firefox/Policy/FirefoxAdmx] ----> Succeeded

Please help me on this to fix the issue

Fire fox wont allow Prowriting aid to run. Its a desktop app and should be able to run. I have tried updating both programs. Changed settings and done everything I can think of but it still wont work. I dont wish to change Browsers but may be forced to if this problem cant be fixed
