I have three devices: my home computer (HC), my Android phone (AP), and the computer in my office (OC).

I want to sync everything between HC and AP. I also want to sync passwords and add-ons between HC and OC, but not bookmarks. These two computers have different bookmarks, and I don't want to mix them.

How can I achieve this?

Restarted my PC and on boot found all my containers deleted. Bookmarks are fine. Browser settings are fine. Other Extensions and Addons are fine. Tabs from the last session were stll there. Everything else is all good. FireFox Multi-Account Containers is the only thing that's gone wrong.

Looking at my containers.json (my best guess on what to check) they're all back to default. There's no "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.

This happens ~3 times a year usually after an update or if there's a sudden shutdown due to power loss.

I've used FireFox Sync before and rather than helping, it ruined everything for no apparent reason. It duplicated the current containers, restored and duplicated old deleted containers and sites stopped using their designated containers.

It sucks. It really really sucks.

Is there a way to make local backups of containers and their designations? Just knowing exactly what to backup would be a massive help and make this a lot less distressing.

So I reinstall my PC. As I remember, I never before do anything with passwords and bookmarks. Maybe I am wrong, but I was think about to this is all on my Mozilla Account. Now when I look, its probably not. So for my "luck" I have all passwords and bookmarks and history on my smartphone but I have one crazy problem. When I try to login on my mozilla account none of passwords I know doesn't work, so I change password and now when I log in my account with new password doesn't sync anything from my smartphone, but my smartphone also won't sync anything because of changed password. If I log out from my smartphone and log in again with new password, do I lost all settings, passwords, bookmarks and other stuff?

My PC crashed with a windows upgrade and i'm not able to get my bookmarks back. BEST Buy Geek squad was able to get me back on but what they backed up were old bookmarks not the latest ones i had on my PC

Very satisfied new Firefox user here :)

I've just noticed that from my Windows 11 Firefox 132's Account menu, I can close tabs open on my other computers via the sync feature. However, the X button that lets me close the tabs only seem to appear next to tabs open on my other computers that also run Firefox 132, while my computers that run the 128 ESR version don't show the X button next to their open tabs.

Is this because the close synced tabs feature was implemented after version 128, or is it blocked for some reason due to the nature of the ESR version? Or am I just doing something wrong with the sync settings on my ESR versions?

I've tried searching the help section and looking up the release notes to try to figure it out, but all attempts failed to find the reason and a fix :(

salve so che vi siete accorti che ho eliminato l'account vecchio se riuscite a ripristinarlo elimino questo user162961878701928362866255555354061854071 ho un secondo problema con firefox mozilla quando cancello la cronologia e rimetto le credenziali non me le salva eppure sull'impostazione della cronologia ho messo la spunta su 1 e la 3 periodo (tutto) soluzioni?

Is there any way to recover my bookmarks and tabs? Everything gone when I logged into my 2017 iMac Ventura 13.7.1. THis happened a few years ago as well. For Command Shift T - what needs to be "open" when i try this? Technically deficient, I am.

Совершил переустановку Win10. Установил Firefox, вошёл в аккаунт, но ничего не синхронизировалось, как раньше. Сейчас у меня пропали все закладки, пароли и так далее. На кнопку ручной синхронизации нажимал, Firefox переустанавливал.

I was setting up a new (desktop) device with sync, and was shocked to realize, that some items are missing from the passwords and settings. It seams like we are in a state of some months in the past. I have checked the about:sync-log and I see a lot of lines like this "WARN DATA LOSS: Both local and remote changes to record".

How is this possible? Can I do something to restore my latest data?

I want to delete certain bookmarks but they keep reappearing. I guess it is an issue with synchronization or something. But I cannot find the right options to solve this. I use firefox on my pc and iphone.

Windows crashed my computer. now that it has been corrected i need to restore my old FireFox page and bookmarks. How can I do this? i prefer to speak with a rep. Ive tried following on the web but have no success.
