Like the subject title says:

Firefox - Keyboard Shortcut Binding Tab to Super + (alpha char of choice) (like Super+num, but a designated tab)

It could be useful to have some functionality to 'Bind' a 'Tab of choice' to a Super+(alpha/qwerty) key combination.

for instance:a user can bind Soundcloud.com (Tab in position 27) to Super+'s' to reach it quickly.

All in agreement? Cheers,

Is there any way to set a preference for system print dialog box to open as a default, rather than Firefox's print dialog box?? (97.0.1) I've tried the following suggestion that shows up many times (but not for 97.0.1 that I could find) that Firefox users may disable the new print preview interface in the following way

Load about:config in the Firefox address bar.
Confirm that you will be careful.
Search for print. tab_modal. enabled. Set the preference to TRUE to enable the new print preview. Set the preference to FALSE to disable it.

Doesn't work for me, still get the default Firefox print dialog (which I hate by the way as you have to scroll to the bottom of popup box to select : Print using the system dialog.) Hope you can provide instructions as to how I can set the system print dialog as the default.

Thank you

I use duckduckgo everywhere as my home page.

I recently started using Firefox at home on my own computers. At work, my duckduckgo home page shows a few of my most frequently visited websites (I think I'm on Chrome at work, but Edge does the same thing)

At home, on Firefox, I do not get these frequently visited websites, (but I do on Chrome and Edge)

I don't know if this is a Firefox issue or a duckduckgo issue, but I would appreciate some help sorting it out. I didn't realize how much I relied on those frequent links ... until they weren't there.

Thanks

Hello all, I must admit that I am about to completely give up on Firefox browser as it keeps getting less and less convenient to use....

My most recent issue is that I cannot find a single video downloader application that will work on any website that plays videos. I used to use Any Video Downloader, but as the Firefox people kept updating the browser that fell off, and doesn't work anymore. Then for about the last year or so, i had been using the Video Downloadhelper addon, but recently that no longer will work either because it is demanding that I upgrade the Companion app., except it will not allow me to install it because of Apple Macintosh security stupidity, so I cannot use that now. Other than those two addons, none of the others seem to find a video that they can download half the time. This includes all the recommendations I have found online including the 'Video Downloader Pro', which cannot find a suitable format for most online videos, and the 'Video Downloader professional' which also cannot seem to even find videos on websites that clearly have a video playing. I have tried many others as well, but none of them are reliable to work on any video I find, and I am sick to death of desperately trying to find a working downloader addon that will not be patched out by the Mozilla team next month, so that they can 'keep with the times' or whatever. Can anyone suggest a useful addon to download videos from websites that will work for ANY videos I find anywhere please?? Thanks in advance!!

PS. I think I got it to work by going to about:config, and changing the 'media.play-stand-alone' to False, but that still leaves only the ability to download the videos in HUGE files, like at least 300mb or more, which is also not a good solution.

Remove context meny from Firefox downloads panel or open in Windows explorer instead

When I download a PDF file, Firefox saves it in the downloads panel. This is fine, except when I right click to "Show in folder" this option has disappeared and the top option is "Open in System Viewer". I never want to open it in a system viewer because I've already been viewing it in the browser and I ever only download it so I can read it later.

My problem is, most of the time I end up clicking this option by mistake and hence have to go through a lengthy process of closing the viewer, opening Windows Explorer, going to the downloads folder and then moving the pdf to the folder I want to save it to on my file system.

My question is, how do I stop the context menu changing so it always has the "Show in folder" option at the top?

If this isn't possible, can I configure Firefox to open Windows Explorer instead of the download panel?

I am a writer. The throw-away printer dialog box Firefox uses does not meet my needs. There are about 8 additional functions that Firefox (Mozilla) printer Dialog Box does not have that Windows provides. I see that Firefox (Mozilla) printer Dialog Box can get me to the Windows printer Dialog Box but do you realize what a hassle that is when I an proofing a document. There has to be some method to permanently direct me to the Windows printer Dialog Box when I use the Firefox printer icon. I used one solution and it worked while Firefox was active but went away when I shut down Firefox. When I brought Firefox back online and tried to print, I was sent to the Firefox (Mozilla) printer Dialog Box. That solution didn't help much. I am using 64-bit windows 11.

Also, why did Firefox try to re-create the wheel that was working just fine?

I did a Google (with added "firefox") and a support.mozilla search with the string in the subject, no joy.

Does it exist? If not is there and add-on that does it? (i.e. add the hotkeys to this EXISTING function, not a from-scratch t2s.) This is blatant lobbying from laptop manufacturers to force people to update to touch-screen laptops, while at the same time screaming at the top of their lungs how much they support Greta Thunberg.

Good day!

I am Glenn D. Ongayo from the Philippines. I am conducting an analysis using an open-source app that can only be ran in Mozilla. The analysis data is saved as data.txt after each run and can be opened in Notepad. However, my downloaded Mozilla version, downloaded from Microsoft Edge because I am using Windows 10, cannot save the data, which is very stressful because I have to repeat the analysis. When I checked the Setting, the Applications part does not have "Text Document" content type and "Notepad" for the action. How can I add these in the Application setting of Mozilla? Please see attached for the image of the setting.

I use eBay on a regular basis, and always start with ebay.ie because it is in English and has euros as the default currency. However, at times, links within eBay will point to ebay.co.uk instead of ebay.ie, and that will result in browsing outside of the EU, under different cookie legislation and different governing agreements. When I notice such a link, I can replace the .co.uk with .ie, and the page will work perfectly. However, I would love to have the ability to do this automatically.

I understand that the server may be the same but what matters, when it comes to the settings that eBay applies and to the user agreement applied to me, is whether the request has a .co.uk or a .ie in it. Is there a way to automate this?
