The issue is same as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1326549#question-reply but I ask it again so it can be replied. I believe that it is because Firefox somehow takes tone indicators and some vowels that do not take space into account when wrapping.

This issue is a major problem for Thai users because they cannot view the document correctly.

Every few days Firefox will reset all my settings so that every time I go to regular websites I have to re-enter my account details and do the cookies preferences. This has been happening for several months now. It often crashes first and then when I open Firefox all the settings are gone. I have updated firefox and my graphics driver but it still happens. Please advise how I can stop it doing this?

I download many pdf and Word files each day for marking. Opening pdf files in Adobe Reader works automatically OK, but Word files no. This archived question gives a link to an answer that does not work. "If Firefox does not have a set download action for a type of file, Firefox will save the file by default. If you select Always Open Similar Files in the Downloads panel right-click context menu for the file, (see below) a new Content Type and Action entry will be added to the General panel Applications section of Firefox settings." I went through the Always Open step, but no "Content Type and Action entry" was added.

Judging by the questions in Firefox and more widely, many people are having the same problem. Why cannot the industry standard file types be added to that list by default?

When I have to reinstall Firefox (it is needed frequently), I have to edit/delete a number of unwanted browser search tools. This principle could be used for the list of automatically opened file types as part of Firefox default settings.

I was told downloading from archive will not include the unique identifier, did the change by now? Asking this because i downloaded from both websites and both downloads tried to run setup.exe immediately after the installation. Asuming the setup.exe is the unique identifier obviously.

Some sites, for example newspapers, have some sort of video around their written news. When I scroll down to read (other news), this video comes with it and jumps down to the low right corner and continue to play. I am not interested, and have to cross it away. This is for Firefox, but not for Safari or Google Chrome. I have tried to find the setting to deactivate this annoying video, but cannot find it. I run iMac 2017, Ventura 13, and Firefox 106.0.3.

One example is on this news article https://www.di.se/analys/lattnadsrally-i-storytel-men-morka-moln-vid-horisonten/

Hi, we are a long-time user of Firefox on our Windows Server edition via Terminal Services. I'm wondering if the way/version we are using Firefox is not, correct? Should we be using an enterprise Version that is managed? Our server is getting old, so I downloaded Chrome a few months back to see if the experience would be better. Chrome is showing that we are on a Managed browser, but Firefox is not. It got me thinking that maybe I'm using the wrong version of Firefox. After an update a few days ago, Firefox has been glitchy and will hang. I haven't tried Refreshing it yet, nor have I tried restarting the server. We usually have Hardware Acceleration turned off. We have 24 gb of Ram, we also Dual(2 processors-2.4gHz each) that help our server fly really fast. If secure DNS-DoH is active, Firefox will really hang. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Mac. It seems all the answers to this problem apply to Windows, but I have tried them anyway and they have not worked. Firefox updated the same day that the Mac did. So I have Firefox 106.0.4 and Ventura 13.0. Everything is huge. I cannot see the upper row, I cannot get the fonts to be a normal size, and the sides of the screen are somewhere east and west of the screen. I have tried doing the ui.textScaleFactor. Nothing changed. When I change the fonts in the usual place, it makes no difference. My main screen is also huge. Huge fonts, huge folders, etc. Anyone out there with a Mac that has a solution? I do all my work online, so this is really affecting me. Thanks for your time and effort. Diane

OK, I play a game using facebook, when you did your update on 11-1-22, the Facebook widow/ format changed and now my game is smaller and there is that lousy side bar on the left, It's a FIREFOX screw up, it opens in the original view using another Browser, just I can;t use that browser because I'm using another FB profile on there. Every time Fire Fox does an Update, they screw something up or break it. again, Firefox Broke another page, It still flickers, still get that crap "this Page is slowing down Fire Fox." You don't fix stuff, and it NOT my job to do YOURS and fix what YOU broke.

Any webpage I try loading with WebGL immediately crashes, ONLY using firefox. This started happening after I tried manually selecting which GPU (integrated vs discrete) to get better performance. Default settings run off the integrated intel GPU, everything ran at crazy high resources switching to the nvidia so i switched back to default.

Problem started when I switched back to default and no matter what I do I cannot fix the issue. I've tried numerous clean installs, resetting firefox, and finally troubleshooting mode which is where I noticed WebGL is simply disabled but the crashing stopped loading those webpages. All I get is an embedded error that WebGL is not supported.

Searching online, I dont see any current issues, only finding threads that are years old. I have been submitting every crash via about:crashes every day because this is an easily repeatable issue for me, but over a month later and I'm still resorting to other browsers to use these websites, which i DO NOT want to do, i like firefox and want it as my default

I tried to change the browser.migrate.chrome.history.limit to 1 million and browser.migrate.chrome.history.maxAgeInDays to 3650 setting in firefox but still i dont get all my chrome browser history

i used google to export chromes history to a json file using there cloud export data services and tried to import this into Firefox but didn't seam to work I'm guessing that's because the json is not in a format Firefox and recognise?

Hello,

I've had this issue for quite some time. Whenever I'm using the Firefox browser and it is the front focused window, Windows changes my audio volume to 50% whether I have it set manually below or above that. Whenever I move focus/minimize the Firefox browser, the volume goes back to my manually selected volume globally for my PC. This doesn't happen with any other application.

I've unchecked the option on all audio outputs "Allow Applications To Take Exclusive Control Of This Device" located by right clicking "sounds" on the speaker system tray then "playback" and "advanced". Which didn't fix the problem.
