On Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4, if I'm logged into mac account X and launch Firefox, then I switch to mack account Y, when return back to mac account X my Firefox browser freezes. I usually have to quit Firefox and restart it to get it working again.

Not sure if others are having this issue, but would appreciate a fix if possible.

At least as recently as Developer Edition 77.0b5. Neither the keyboard shortcut nor the UI "x" button closes the mode. This is developer edition 77.0b5 on MacOS 10.14.6. For a handful of beta versions it seems inconsistent (sometimes worked sometimes didn't work) but now it seems like this happens every time. I'm not sure when I first noticed the issue.

My system auto-loads a custom keyboard map (via Xmodmap or xkbcomp) on login. As long as the cursor does not enter a password field on a page displayed in FF, the key map remains functional until I logout.

After a recent FF update, whenever the cursor does enter a password field in FF, the keyboard map is blown away (returns to standard qwerty). This creates an incredibly annoying workflow: Enter password >> Halt >> Manually reload keymap >> Resume

No other browser or program does this so I'm sure it's a FF problem. I've already started migrating all password-entry sites to Chrome, but this is a workaround. How to fix? .. (FF 76.0, Ubuntu 18.04.4)

I have a FireFox window open, and I launch a portal from it which causes a new window to open. I do have "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" ticked in FF settings. FF used to allow me to dock the window as a tab in the original window just by clicking and dragging it to the tab area but for some reason it doesn't allow that anymore. How do I get that back? Or is there another way to ensure new windows open as tabs when clicking a function in the original window?

When I click Maximize on Firefox when it's in my main monitor (My middle of 4), the top border of the window goes into the second monitor above my main monitor, cutting off the bottom 5-10 pixels of any program I put there. It doesn't block the task bar, but any normal program like a browser window or music playing app gets cut off at the bottom. I'm not sure how to fix this. All monitors are at their native 1080p settings. Further, when I fullscreen a YouTube video in the main monitor window, the border goes away and no longer cuts off the bottom of the second monitor.

I'd provide a screenshot, but it doesn't translate well in picture without the physical monitor borders being there. Any help would be great, thanks

Reinstalling the Firefox application in the macOS way (move Firefox.app from the application folder into trash and move a current (non Beta Version of) Firefox into the application folder) does not work. Firefox somehow remembers that the Beta Channel is active. It will update to the recent Beta on startup/restart.

I did not try to remove all files created by Firefox, as I do not want to loose my current profile.

While there seems to be documentation about working with multiple versions of Firefox or how to work with multiple profiles: I am not interested in installing multiple versions of Firefox simultaneously or work with multiple profiles.

I simply want to replace my Firefox Beta with the current release... (There may be a problem with profiles being not compatible with an older version of Firefox. However, I feel like it should be possible to stay on the Beta (without updating) until a newer version releases in the release channel to avoid this issue.)

There does not seem to be any documentation on how to unenroll from the Firefox Beta on macOS. (I googled / used duckduckgo a lot (I searched for a solution every now and then over the time span of multiple months) and nothing relevant turned up.)

PS: Good job on Firefox for macOS; it replaced safari (which had deprecated a lot of addons at that time) as soon as the beta with improved (macOS) battery life released (the reason why I installed a beta version.)

I have a Firefox account but whenever I try to login with Firefox Send it just keeps telling me 'Something went wrong', which gives me no idea what I can do to get things right. I have tried deleting my account and creating a new one, but the same thing still happens. I was keen to be able to use Firefox Send and get the extra flexibility offered by signing in, but so far I can only use it with the more limited default options.

I am so confused with your different types of password - "operating system password" and "firefox account password" are the the actually the same, can you have one that works for all? I have a password linked to an email called Zen - that sometimes works to get into some places like help, and i think sync but it doesn't work in the support section for zen account to see my password - it is rejected

I have changed passwords several times to sort it but the new password although initially accepted - the two boxes that have to have the same password entered - are accepted but them i try to do something else with it and it is rejected Are there other passwords needed in different sections? It used to tbe simple I've seen comething about a master password would that get me in everywhere

Google Translation:

1.I want to have the same tab environment (Firefox Multi-Account Container) on all devices, because I renamed the given tabs of the Multi Account Container and expanded the number. However, I do not find a way to synchronize this in the settings.

2. I want to create different security settings for the tabs. However, I see no way of doing this, except that I open the Firefox program for each tab environment separately and then change the security settings. I then opened the Firefox program maybe 5 or 6 times on the screen.

Hello there !

This is what happens: I'm using Firefox, with several windows open. I'm on this support page, for instance (image 1), and I look up my calendar, or messages, or Zoom, etc. (image 2)

In the background of this app window, Firefox immediately displays another page, one that was open but hidden, in fact the one next to the page I was on. (image 2)

And when I return to Firefox, I'm still on that window, so I have to manually return to the page I was on before I opened the othe app.

Thank your for your help!

I am not sure if something changed recently, but it's rather frustrating. At work I have to use a smartcard reader to access internal sites. That is working as expected. I get prompted for my smartcard every time I open Firefox though. Is this something new? It's annoying if I just need to open my browser to search for something or go to a website that doesn't require my smartcard.
