I'm trying to install Mozilla VPN but it won't install. The error message is as follows: the installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

I installed a dev version of Firefox to test a plugin.

Then I uninstalled the dev version, but now none of my profiles on the regular version work...

Please help me, I really need my old browser history and cookies.

When I try to use one of my old profiles, I get "You've launched an older version of Firefox" and it tells me to either Create New Profile or Exit.

I read online that people add "-allow-downgrade" to the Windows shortcut, but this does nothing for me.

I am having to download Foxfire Developer Edition for a course that I am taking, but I am unable to figure out to go this. There is not enough information on the internet to get this done. I have watched videos on YouTube, but they are not helpful. I am new to this and would like some guidance in the matter. Both the above have recently appeared on my old Dell Optiplex Desktop and are causing glitches and other problems (slowing down and sluggich performance). For instance, on my Google Search page, my contact list is being blocked by a panel connected with this new installation, and is losing me access to my Contacts. How can I solve this problem, please.

When I custom installed to a different path,I didn't have the service installed,and when I encountered an update,I manually updated and restarted Firefox Brower,and I saw two uninstall lists in the control panel uninstall list.
