An 8 second delay when I open Firefox for the first time.. Once it has been opened once, it reopens immediately when required. The problem has been present since I installed Linux Mint 9 months ago, Linux Mint 22.2 then, since upgraded to 22.3 Zena. I can live with it, but it is very frustrating! I have tried the obvious things like removing extensions, but I suspect it is a "Linux" connectivity problem rather than a "Mozilla" problem.

Whilst on various websites, reading articles or even on Gmail, Firefox takes me off them and takes me to Recent Browsing and I have to click on the website from there - this happens frequently.

In support.mozilla.org/questions/1598971 it's still not clear how you're getting this. You seem to be posting this question from a perfectly running Firefox so it apparently starts up and works fine on its own.

It sounds it's related to your Windows desktop shortcuts, or their exact target perhaps — however without knowing their content (destination or commands run) there's not much more to do here.

If you have anything new to add to the questions in the thread above, please post in that original thread so anyone trying to help understands what this pertains to. Lately, after last firefox update, whenever I start Firefox, it loads normally but when I click to open a website it freezes with a not responding message. I have waited for 10 minutes before and never responds. Even opening in troubleshooting mode it won't respond.

The complete page I'm looking at, blurs when my desk top page changes. When I mouse over the page the blur clears up just under my mouse. Now you might want to focus on desktop but changing taps also cause a blur. When I say blur i am talking the hole page. I'm using Arial and have ran clear text on both monitors it all so seem worst when I used the new side tab load. Never had an issue on older fox loads. Submitting from my laptop not from affected computer.

I've also noticed that the perceived timing can depend on the audio output being used, so I'm not sure whether this should be treated as a Firefox issue or an audio-device latency issue. What's the best way to troubleshoot this in Firefox?

I ran troubleshoot mode and updated my graphic card. Can't open any sites in regular mode, but can in troubleshoot mode. The following is the trouble shoot info it gave me. What do I do?

When firefox is loaded and as high as 13 can load. If go to task master and search for firefox it shows 13. If I try to delete 1 file all are deleted. If I delete firefox and try to add it again it says I already have firefox loaded.

Hi, I am using Firefox For a few years, but for last 1 year my workload is high and I usually need to open several tabs. After I keep tabs open for a while, firefox becomes slow. Closing a few tabs help but I want to know what is causing it. IS there a way to check which tab or extension is causing it? I am using latest firefox on windows 11.

I am running 10 or more tabs with tradevision.io showing real time stock charts running multiple 1-minute charts forcing my CPU/GPU to constantly render live data. Enabling Hardware Acceleration in your browser settings can help balance the load and keep things running cooler but it made no difference. Prices still freeze and I have to constantly refresh. I have a Windows 10 Pro system and Firefox continues to open up at least 17 processes for one internet window. This eats up system resources for nothing more than general web browsing. How can these processes be limited? Thank you.
