Firefox opens as it should but it opens with two additional tabs showing. How do I prevent this. What setting/s do I manipulate to prevent opening multiple tabs on start up? windows 11 / HP Omnibook, new purchase initial set up of FireFox.

Is it a bug? Is there a way to turn it off? It's too easy for me to accidentally close a tab this way. I cannot reproduce in Troubleshoot Mode but I can't find any setting or installed extension that seems to control it.

my laptop was on the internet but nothing would load so i restarted it and my windows always auto open and it did but my tabs were empty,not like when you open a new window i mean full empty so a restarted again and i could load tabs but my window was not in recently closed

Any time I launch Firefox, and it loads with the six tabs I have setup, it doesn't actually load the site until I click the tab. It shows the tabs with the correct favicons, but it doesn't actually download the site until I click the tab. Is there anyway to get it to load the site before I ever click the tab?

Can the quantity of tabs ever get so large that finally one more tab wont open? What are the max count of tabs recommended, and when should they be removed to start over?

Hello everyone, Until a few days ago, Firefox version 140.12.0esr included a button to "Save windows and tabs of the current! session." Unfortunately, this feature is no longer available in the current version, 152.0.1. However, for many Firefox users, saving the windows and tabs of the current! session is absolutely essential. What options are there now to resolve this issue? I would appreciate any suggestions! If there is no way to restore this feature, I, too, will unfortunately have to switch browsers after 20 years as a Firefox user. Many thanks in advance for your help and any information. Swiping left with two fingers is the same as going back, but I keep doing it accidentally. I thought there was a setting for it, but I can not find it now. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I've been using "tab groups" for a while but then suddenly my tabs' groups that I just had saved just disappeared, when I had a lot of them of my pending activities. I don't know why it happens, please help me to figure that out cause I had a lot of information that I didn't save on bookmarks. Like I just showed in the uploaded image, I just could restore 1 group tabs because my firefox and laptop turned off and I had that group open before it turned off, so firefox notified me that there was an error and I cannot have all my information again, but at least let me restore my last session, that why I could recover One TAB GROUP

I have horizontal tabs in Firefox 152.0.4 on a Macbook with Tahoe 26.5.1. My tabs have suddenly reversed order, so that the most recent ones are at the left and the older ones towards the right. Strangely, if I open a new tab it appears to the right of the current tab. I tried closing Firefox and reopening, but it did not change anything. Is there a way to restore usual order of tabs so that the newer ones are at the right?

if you have a group of tabs shrinked, you can click on it and move it around similar to how you can move a single tab. if you move a single tab, and hover it over a tab group, tab group gets highlighted and a single tab gets added to the tab group it hovered. can't you make it so that when you hover a tab group over a single tab, the tab also gets added to that tab group, w/o the need to load the contents of the tab?

I just lost ALL my open tabs AGAIN!!! This's the 3rd time !!!!! Restore previous tabs IS NOT IN THE Menu > History AGAIN per Mozilla's method!! Frankly, I'm tired & overwrought this keeps happening WHEN IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO!!

So frustrating. Been a Firefox user for nearly two decades and this is first ongoing issue I have not been able to fix . . .

I work with 7-10 open tabs at any given time. Whenever I close a tab, my entire browser shifts and resizes. It's quite disruptive.

I've gone into AI and done some config troubleshooting, but nothing working.

In Firefox 152.0.5 under Windows 10, when I hover the mouse pointer over a tab, a balloon pops up showing the text that is on the tab. I find this extremely annoying as I can read what is on the tab. I have searched on the Mozilla site, and I have searched with Google, all to no avail. How can I disable those redundant popup balloons?

Why can't I disable the Search Tab option that is annoyingly cannot be removed in the Customize Toolbar option? Also, why isn't there a settings option to adjust the size of the tab height? Also, instead of mentioning as "Playing" at the bottom and thereby making the tab height bigger why not just show a sound icon before the tab name to indicate the tab is playing some media?

Also, kindly if there is a way to continue extending the support for ESR, that'd be great
