On a windows touchscreen device, it's impossible to double tap on a word in the text field to select it like regular mobile device, or even other chromium windows browsers.

Please fix this behavior.

I have done all recommended actions and mt browser still will not load Google nor will it now load Facebook. I have tried to load a clean version of the browser but it will not let me, it only gives me the option to reinstall my previous one again.

I use Firefox mainly for Youtube every day. Lately when I sit down at my Mac to view Youtube, Firefox is unresponsive. I have to close the app, and reload it this has only been happening for the past 4 or 5 weeks. I like Firefox for Youtube because it prevents ad which track me (i.e. all of them) without running afoul of Youtube's no-adblocker rule.

Could Youtube be causing the browser to die, or is it a new setting I haven't found that caused this? An explanation would be appreciated.

For a few months, and I've seen this happen randomly over the last 5-10 years - pressing enter doesn't work, and sometimes dragging a new link into the empty tab space next to the tabs creates a new tab with the URL in the URL box, but not 'opened'

Does firefox have some issue with loading a web page?

I use ublock origin on default settings, and violent-monkey and stylish for scripting.. but would that disable searching google from a new tab?

Firefox always display some little weird block in address bar. Some character such as ‘g’ displayed as a little block. But when I click the address bar, it returns to origin appearence. Some Chinese characters are in the same situation. I do't know whether it's a BUG or not. I only see it on Firefox in Windows 11. I use Firefox 128.6.0esr 64-bit version. Thanks for help me.

For a few months I have been having sporadic issues with my cpu running at 100%. I believe Firefox is the culprit. When I open task manager Firefox is running 30 processes with power usage very high. Usually one of the top processes in the drop down is very high. To fix this I have been ending the task of the highest usage process running. In all cases that has brought the cpu down to like 10% and has fixed the issue temporarily. If I'm not at my computer for some time, it will not resolve on it's own. I'm not sure what info you need but will provide. Could this be a bug with the current version of ESR?

I have tried the fixes including: Disable/Enable Hardware Acceleration, Enable Strict Tracking Protection, Delete content-prefs.sqlite file, Check Firefox hardware acceleration, Disable resource consuming extensions and themes, etc.

I am using Firefox ESR 128.6.0 and have been for years (ESR)

Okay, I know this is a weird, super niche, and kind of ridiculous question, but who doesn't want to have their cake and eat it too? Basically, I want two browser windows open, when I open a tab, or switch a tab in one window, it does the exact same thing in the second window. Maybe someone knows if this is possible.

Since I'm sure you are scratching your head right now, I have a multi-monitor setup, two horizontal and one vertical. At any given time I have 6 to 10 windows open across the three of them, and another 10 to 15 windows minimized (and for what it is worth, currently 132 tabs, but that's about to go up after I finish this post). In some cases I work off of lists, and in all cases I have so many tabs open TreeStyleTabs is a must.

For working off a list, or for navigating between tabs, a longer vertical window is preferred; however, for working on an account or using portals a wider horizontal window is usually preferred, with some exceptions. I'd love it if I could get the best of both worlds, have the same window on two monitors, that way I can use the vertical aspect of it to reference my lists, and open/navigate between accounts, but actually work on the accounts on my horizontal window.

If this is impossible, I won't lose sleep over it, but if this is possible, omg is my productivity going to go up by like 1%, which is around 30 to 45 minutes a week, that's like over a free day of work a year.

this browser does nothing but eat and eat recourse. no matter what i do, no action ever stops it from hogging nearing 1/3rd of the resources of my machine all the damn time! And i dont want to hear virus or malware anything. i have swept, checked, and swept again. nothing is ever fucking found. And i do not trust the other browsers. so i guess i am just OFF THE INTERNET

I have since like more than half a year the issue that during Video playback with Firefox (no matter if private browsing or not) the screen standby time from My Debian 12 with Mate Desktop OS is functional, but it wasn't the case in past mid-term (also other website Video playback trigger that setting, while for example VLC keeps the screen alive, although the setting isn't changed).

Why does Firefox no longer surpress the energy saving option of the screen standby time; does Debian 12 (Mate Desktop) have a change or something else?

Firefox constantly has at minimum 10 to 15 tasks open when I have one or two windows open? I've noticed the same thing happening when using MS Edge. Firefox is is always using up way more of my laptop's resources CPU & Memory. It's very frustrating. Please advise.

I have cleared the cache.

I checked my anti-virus.

Your browser moves like a drunk snail.

Hello, when I download PDFs and open them in the Firefox browser, only the text blocks or image blocks have a white background. The rest of the page then has a dark background. I have already checked things like dark mode etc. Do you have any suggestions for a solution?

Hi. I had an issue with my wifi router yesterday and needed to reset it a couple of times. It's been fine for everything but using Firefox on my Macbook. 90% of the time, it doesn't work. I will reset the computer's connection to my WiFi, and it will load one or two tabs, but then it will stop working. The error I get is a he "Hmm. We're having trouble finding that site" error.

I reset my computer. Nada. Reset Firefox. Nada. I got rid of Hardware Acceleration. Nada. Chrome works on my laptop and Firefox works on my other devices so I do think it must be an issue with Firefox. Does anyone have any idea what I should do.
