i noticed every websites that i visited or some links just suggested are appeared in my firefox homepage i selected only shortcuts in setting which i expect to see only shortcuts that i added manually but its just more shortcuts pop up each time i open the new window on my home page this is really annoying and , its not necessary at all , i dismissed them manually but they just pop up again please can you report this issue to be fixed on next release ?

First off - love Mozilla's work, thank you all for your efforts!

The problem: I f'd up with the Profiles option. I wanted to set up a Work profile on a new windows laptop associated with a new work email (msta....), and then separately have my personal profile connected to my gmail (mstn...).

Well somehow I managed to make my Work (default) profile connected to my overall Firefox + Google personal profile, and have spent a month in my ignorance saving away settings and bookmarks on this machine. Is there anyway that I can disconnect my Gmail account from the profile Work, and connect it to the secondary profile on the same machine titled 'Mel'? Or will I need to export the last month of bookmarks, implode my Mozilla install on this machine, and start over with new profiles and better practices?

I get why the domain is highlighted, and it's good! But the rest of the URL can be hard to read, especially with dark themes (see screenshot, taken of this page's URL bar, using the default Dark theme). I have tried to find a dark theme with better contrast, but haven't had any success.

Is there a setting that I can change to set the font colors or contrast between them?

when I go to the manager tag and I click with the right bottom of the touch pad come out the window where I can delete the TAG I don't need, but never delete the version I use I upgrade all the time and is portable version mounted on a uSD card thank's to the attention

On a dual-stack network, with Windows tcpip6 ‘disabledcomponents’ parameter set to prefer IPv6, Firefox ignores this setting whenever an endpoint resolves both an IPv4 and a NAT64 address.

While monitoring traffic captured while connecting to sites in Firefox, if the initial DNS request for the site comes back with an IPv6 address only, the connection attempts from client’s IPv6 address to destination IPv6. If DNS answers come back with IPv4 and IPv6, the connection attempts IPv6 to IPv6. If DNS answers come back with IPv4 and a NAT64 address, Firefox doesn’t even attempt to connect to the NAT64 address, it immediately defaults to IPv4. I’ve tried disabling the IPv4 fallback setting which doesn’t change the behavior.

We’re running version 140.8.0esr. Is this behavior intended for Firefox? Is there a way to configure Firefox so it doesn’t ignore NAT64 addresses in dual-stack environments? The only way I found to force this was to completely disable the IPv4 stack on the client system’s NIC.

Hello, First my Q, then a comment. My bookmarks all show the same date. I can't find what I was going to use for work today because I can't find it in the bookmarks. This has happened frequently, more than not. Please help. On another note, I had said the YouTube commercial blocking wasn't working, but it is now on my Mac OS after changing some settings. Now I'd like to do that on my iphone 11 if possible. I can't seem to open settings the same way. Thank you.

With dailyexpress.co.uk using Firefox there are two pop ups. One is breaking news on each page using right links and the other is a subscribe to read any of the site, which is recent but prevents reading the site. This does not happen using Microsoft Edge.

Suddenly—with no changes made in Firefox, no power failures, no anomalous occurrences, and with the latest version of Facebook—Facebook would not display reels when clicked on.

What came up was at first a briefly (maybe a second) displayed image, but rather than remaining, the image disappeared, leaving an all-black screen except for the usual icons normally there: in the upper left, the "X" for closing the window and the Facebook logo; in the upper right, the Facebook menu, messenger, notifications, and account icons; at the middle right, the up and down circled arrows (which function but which lead to more displays of only black as well); and lower-right center, with the vertical display of the thumbs-up emoji, comment, share, the three-dots more options icons.

Firefox 149.0.2 is installed on a Windows 11 computer less than a year old (which has displayed no anomalous or unusual behavior at all).

Clearing the Firefox cache and restarting Firefox have done no good. What is wrong here?

I noted, that credit cards autofill works, but on ~50% of websites it fails. I can see the autofill dropdown, but if I select any card, no fields are filled. Manual filling works. One of examples: https://ipn.paymentus.com, but there are many. Again, on some websites it works just fine.

Another issue - I cannot edit cards. Settings->Payment methods->Manage, then select a card, press "Edit" and nothing happens.

Context: version 148.0 (64-bit), Canonical snap build (crap, I cannot DISABLE snap build and totally switch to deb!!!)

P.S. I really miss feature to add "aliases" for cards...

I was able to install it on my Mac mini running OS mountain lion with no problem but This is the error message I keep getting on my IMAC OS10.15.7 Catalina (attached): current browser is safari ver 15.6.1. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

There seems to be no possible way to change the shortcut for peeking at the tabs in the sidebar (when sidebar revamp is enabled) from the about:keyboard UI. I have so far managed to modify the shortcut through intercepting function calls.

What I have done: 1. Read through the JS source code for about:keyboard which says the shortcut ID is `toggleSidebarKb` 2. Added hooks to intercept `RPMSendQuery` calls 3. Modified the shortcut through devtools open on the about:keyboard page with the following snippet

The way I am doing it is definitely a hack. I am not sure if I am missing something. Although the shortcuts for bookmarks, history, and GenAI chat sidebar are present, there seems to be no entry to change the sidebar toggle shortcut itself. I'd love to work on this but I haven't been able to mach bootstrap on NixOS.

when my Firefox window is active on Macbook Air Sequoia 15.7.3 if I open a second app, calculator for example, the Firefox window reduces in size and snaps to the side of the screen. I want that behavior to stop. I want the calculator to overlay the full size Firefox window. How to achieve that?

Apple cs and Geek Squad both deleted app, reloaded from net, problem remained. Geeks said it was definitely a FF problem and deleted the app completely. I am now using Chrome, which I hate. I want my Foxie back!! I am using Mac Mini, OS Sequoia 15.7.4. I updated to this maybe 2 mo ago? Two upgrades were available and I just randomly picked one. I AM NOT A TECHIE. I'm experiencing an issue with the latest Firefox update. If I refresh a link/page the browser "spins out" in a rapid endless refresh cycle. In some cases, I receive an error message, "too many requests," and in other cases, the browser "locks up" and quits responding at all.

Is this a known issue?

I have questions about websites I visit that don't seem to work in Firefox, but when I visit the same sites in Microsoft Edge, the sites work fine. Previously (one site, 6 months ago, the second, in the last month), I had no issues with either site. It makes me wonder whether some protocol or requirement has changed that has caused my recent experience. Both sites are secure sites (banking and bill-paying related), and when I first experienced it, I didn't give it much thought since it happened while using the Windows 7 machine. I am now using a newer Windows 11 machine.

My most recent visit to the municipal site (water-bill payment and statement download) resulted in the new tab displaying

At the credit union site, I click a link that results in rotating arcs atop the webpage's background, and it neither times out nor displays the next screen (a link to a specific account). When I use the credit union's app on my smartphone, the next page displays as it should. (A message reply by the credit union showed a lack of understanding.)

Most of the Firefox settings are at its default settings, and the two sites are allowed to open pop-up tabs.

After 30+ years of using Firefox trouble-free, reverting to Edge is a step backward. (Every time I finish using Edge, I have to run my spyware program.)
