In the last few weeks, the customary symbols at the top right of the Mozilla Firefox screen ( X, -, etc.) have disappeared; meaning that I cannot minimize, maximise, or close the browser screen.

I cannot find a solution online. It is very frustrating not to be able to minimize in particular.

These symbols appear as normal on other browsers, and other programs.

Could you please suggest a solution? Thank you

ich stelle bei vielen Seiten im Internet fest, daß mit Firefox die Texte nicht richtig dargestellt werden, als ob Übersetzungsfehler vorlägen. Wenn ich zum Vergleich die gleiche Seite im zweiten Monitor paralell auf MS Edge aufrufe erscheint der Text dort richtig dargestellt. Zur Verdeutlichung meines Problems habe ich zwei Screenshots angehängt. Sie erkennen oben eine fehlerfreie Darstellung und unten die gleiche Internet-Seite - zum gleichen Zeitpunkt - mit dem Mozolla Browser.

Was muß ich an welcher Stelle in den Einstellungen von Firefox V146.0.1 für 64 bit auf Windows 11 ändern, damit ich weiterhin bei Euch bleiben kann? Für Eure Unterstützung im Voraus herzlichen Dank. Gruß aus Deutschland/Bayern/Augsburg

My Bookmarks Sidebar is now displaying with white lettering on a very light gray background, making it almost impossible to read. How can I change either the font color in the sidebar, or the background color?

Firefox Sidebar view only shows a 'Search' window and no Bookmarks or History lists

I have never had this problem before.
I can still view Bookmarks or History but only if I select it.

When you move your mouse to the top of the screen in F11 mode, the searchbar / tabs pop up. This is highly irritating behavior, since if I'm in F11, I specifically do not want to see them. I would like to disable this behaviour somehow, the few userChrome.css solutions that came up in googling either didn't do what I wanted or didn't do anything at all.

As the title says , im really hoping for a small change that will happen from Firefox team or an addon , since i started using vertical tabs it was the best thing ever happen. however im really just hoping to have the option to increase the icon size of the tabs, i usually just have the icons showing without the name of the tab thing, but my only need is just to have the ability to increase the size of the icon tabs thats it

Hi, I updated to Firefox 146.0 this past week and immediately noticed that the UI elements (scrollbars, sidebar, tooltips, etc) are once again in dark mode; the main websites window and the firefox settings remain in light mode (as set by my user preferences). I've been using browser.theme.toolbar-theme and browser.theme.content-theme to force light mode of all UI elements regardless of theme and as of this last update they have stopped working (editing them to any value of 0,1,2 does not make a noticeably change to the UI). What internal setting changed to stop firefox from using the browser.theme.(etc) settings and what can I edit to get them back? Thanks, Bre

In the previous version of Firefox, my Bookmarks folder was fixed in to the Sidebar so that when Firefox opened the Bookmarks were visible; how do I fix the problem?

I am not too sure what exactly causes this (I suspect long periods of inactivity/not interacting with the browser) but when I switch back to one of my firefox windows on my laptop's display (I have my laptop open and connected to an external monitor - so I use the monitor as my main display and my laptop as my secondary display) I get this black border/padding on the side/around my broswer.

See attached images - (might be hard to spot, focus on the sides of the screen). First image is how the browser normally looks like. The 2nd image is with the random black border/padding.

How do I stop this from happening? I've tried looking online for someone else havig the same issue but cannot seem to find anything.

Is there a way to hide bookmark names? I have several bookmarks that I keep in the bookmarks toolbar, and I can keep more links there only if I were able to hide bookmark names. I know what the link icon goes to, I just want the space without having to reduce the names of the bookmarks to a few letters. It would be even better if the name I set the bookmark to would appear when the mouse hovers over the link icon.

12/10/25 am my yahoo bookmarks are opaque. they are still there just not visible until you click on them. Later 12/10/25 I rolled back firefox to earlier time and all looked correct again. today 12/11/25 opaque bookmarks again.
