the theme i chose for firefox ("clear") is no longer here when i quit and reopen the next day - then it's "eye friendly" (brand new mac / tahoe) - i probably do something wrong but dont know what… thank you if you may help

About 4 years ago, the Firefox developers apparently had their brains removed and decided that it was a good idea to couple the light/dark mode selection to the font used in the theme, which of course makes absolutely no sense other than to annoy the users. There used to be a workaround for this (see this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1366357), but as of the latest update the workaround doesn't work properly anymore. No matter what I try, some menus remain dark unless I switch to a light theme. This is completely unacceptable. Mozilla needs to end this stupid behavior asap, as they should have four years ago already

ich stelle bei vielen Seiten im Internet fest, daß mit Firefox die Texte nicht richtig dargestellt werden, als ob Übersetzungsfehler vorlägen. Wenn ich zum Vergleich die gleiche Seite im zweiten Monitor paralell auf MS Edge aufrufe erscheint der Text dort richtig dargestellt. Zur Verdeutlichung meines Problems habe ich zwei Screenshots angehängt. Sie erkennen oben eine fehlerfreie Darstellung und unten die gleiche Internet-Seite - zum gleichen Zeitpunkt - mit dem Mozolla Browser.

Was muß ich an welcher Stelle in den Einstellungen von Firefox V146.0.1 für 64 bit auf Windows 11 ändern, damit ich weiterhin bei Euch bleiben kann? Für Eure Unterstützung im Voraus herzlichen Dank. Gruß aus Deutschland/Bayern/Augsburg

Is there a way to hide bookmark names? I have several bookmarks that I keep in the bookmarks toolbar, and I can keep more links there only if I were able to hide bookmark names. I know what the link icon goes to, I just want the space without having to reduce the names of the bookmarks to a few letters. It would be even better if the name I set the bookmark to would appear when the mouse hovers over the link icon.

I find this to be extremely annoying. At best, it’s still an extra click to get to the address bar/search box, but it usually doesn’t register correctly at first so about a quarter of the time it does nothing, about a quarter of the time I accidentally click a link on the webpage instead, about a quarter of the time my phone thinks I’m trying to swipe up, and only about a quarter of the time it actually works correctly.

So many “UX” trends are way more about design/style/aesthetics. UX designers need to get over themselves and remember that the key word is USABILITY - stop over thinking it or changing stuff for the sake of changing stuff and make the product better instead.

In the last few weeks, the customary symbols at the top right of the Mozilla Firefox screen ( X, -, etc.) have disappeared; meaning that I cannot minimize, maximise, or close the browser screen.

I cannot find a solution online. It is very frustrating not to be able to minimize in particular.

These symbols appear as normal on other browsers, and other programs.

Could you please suggest a solution? Thank you

When you move your mouse to the top of the screen in F11 mode, the searchbar / tabs pop up. This is highly irritating behavior, since if I'm in F11, I specifically do not want to see them. I would like to disable this behaviour somehow, the few userChrome.css solutions that came up in googling either didn't do what I wanted or didn't do anything at all.

It all started with all my bookmarks in the sidebar turning white and only the little icon visible. I could still open them but I couldn't see them. I rebooted I refreshed to no avail. Then I lost my sidebar altogether, I went into settings and even with the sidebar option ticked, it didn't bring it back and there's no sidebar icon in the top right. My only access to bookmarks now is the bookmark drop down menu top right but this isn't all my bookmarks and its really inconvenient to use. This is the first time I've had ever had a problem with Firefox in 15 years of use. Any input would be appreciated.

Since the last update the fonts have been too small. I have altered the fonts on the web pages, but the fonts on the menu bar remain too small and I cannot seem to alter them. I have increased my overall settings to 120%, but this has not helped. Any ideas?

Firefox Sidebar view only shows a 'Search' window and no Bookmarks or History lists

I have never had this problem before.
I can still view Bookmarks or History but only if I select it.

In firefox version 146, How do I change background color of the bar the tabs appear on? I don't want to change the tab color, but only the color of the toolbar where the tabs are located. I've tried several userchrome.css codes I found on the internet, but none of them work.

I am not too sure what exactly causes this (I suspect long periods of inactivity/not interacting with the browser) but when I switch back to one of my firefox windows on my laptop's display (I have my laptop open and connected to an external monitor - so I use the monitor as my main display and my laptop as my secondary display) I get this black border/padding on the side/around my broswer.

See attached images - (might be hard to spot, focus on the sides of the screen). First image is how the browser normally looks like. The 2nd image is with the random black border/padding.

How do I stop this from happening? I've tried looking online for someone else havig the same issue but cannot seem to find anything.
