Tell me why they're trying to do this? I'm confused how. Firefox starts about 30 seonds later(Im viewing thru windows 10 filemanager) and stops google. I do not let google or edge start on boot. This only happens from wake after sleep. I believe only 5 or 6 days has this been happening. Any ideas?

I purchased Dell desktop computer, Windows 11, I installed Firefox, and I made Firefox the default browser via Firefox and the computer's settings.

I selected default dozens of times. Each time it stays the default for a while and then another web browser becomes default.

I then again select Firefox as the default web browser, both ways, and it stays that way for a long time or a short time. A few minutes ago, after the selection, the settings window for the app page flashed and Firefox was no longer the default browser.

I have Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge installed for the few times that Firefox does not work on a particular website.

What gives? Thank you

When I restart Firefox, it opens all of my bookmarks, each in a separate tab. It takes forever to close them all down one by one. then it happens again the next time I restart Firefox. I'm on a windows laptop.

I would like two lists widgets running - for example; a shopping list and a to do list. I would like to see both on the page. Is there a way to do this now, or will there be one in the future, please?

There is no sound from my desktop Imac. It has Tahoe OS 26.5.1. I have checked the obvious settings, volume, mute, etc. What could be the problem? I get sound when using Safari.

Using Windows 11. Recently all of my bookmarks have stopped working. They appear labeled correctly, but with a "globe" like icon and no longer function. I'm logged in and hit sync, but nothing seems to restore them.

I've attached image showing my tool bar. This impacts all of my bookmarked sites.

I have to reset Firefox/Mozilla as my default browser every time I leave the browser and return. Each time I set it as my default browser, but I have to do it again and again. This is a new occurrence, as I have never had to do this until the last few weeks.

I really need some quality advice and will sincerely appreciate it if someone can guide me, because my head is spinning.

I have been noticing a number of processes started by firefox regardless of the pages I browse to, even if I am connected to the Internet, which has made wonder of my firefox installation/settings has adquire a mind of its own:

Yesterday I uploaded a bunch of pdfs on my wordpress website and they display the title, image captions, byline and other miscellaneous text, but NOT BODY text, incorrectly on Windows Firefox and ONLY on Windows Firefox. Mac works fine, Windows Chrome, Edge work fine but Windows Firefox displays the affected text as individual boxes with letters in them. This may be broader than the font settings on one computer as I have replicated the issue on several PCs. Interesting though that when I download the embedded pdf, and it's displayed in the page, the fonts ARE CORRECT!!! I've contacted the developer of the embedder plugin and they are seeing a 404 error for the affected pages, which is NOT replicated elsewhere, but since it returns a 200, they're convinced that it's not a problem with their plugin. Godaddy is of course saying all is well on their end. I've cleared all the available caches, to no avail, and of course refreshed pages.

All of a sudden, my extensions icons, site icons and some images in every page are very very dark or pitch black. I haven't change anything in themes other than changing the theme of the browser after installing it.

In the attached images, you can see how the Mozilla site icon is rendered by Firefox Stable, Firefox Nightly in Recovery Mode without my account being signed in and Google Chrome. The other screenshot is the extension toolbar with extension icons being rendered all black instead of their true color.

Firefox version 132.0.1 Thunderbird version 128.4.0esr O/S: PCLinuxOS Debian Edition (Debian 12 Bookworm) with KDE 5

I am getting a "Click" sound effect when I click Menu Bar items in both Firefox and Thunderbird, Bookmarks in Firefox, Folders in Thunderbird and some other items in both. I can not find a way to turn it off. It does not happen in any other applications, including other web browsers that are forked from Firefox, so I think it is a Mozilla problem.

This is a relatively new installation that was set up copying settings from Firefox on Windows 10 using Firefox Sync. I did not copy anything from Windows Thunderbird because my email is IMAP which brings in everything from the server. I am not getting this clicking sound in Windows Firefox and Thunderbird.

I am GUESSING that the sound effect is due to an Accessibility setting that is buried somewhere, maybe in one of the text-based "about...." configuration files, but I don't know where to look. I have gone through the Linux KDE System Settings and the Settings in Firefox and Thunderbird several times trying to find it. I will note that I set up Firefox and Thunderbird in the same Linux distro on a laptop also using Firefox Sync and do not have this problem with the laptop. Can anyone tell me where to look to get rid of this irritating noise?
