Pressing print/pdf button for screenshot then pick the folder destination documents then press save and what it's used for is decrease the size of the screenshot with pinching the screen then retake the screenshot of desired smaller size however for the first time it has an error in documents folder the says "can't open pdf" and then I tried the 3 dot menu in upper right corner to use an app to open it up and I went through all of them and nothing works

I was having an issue with pdfs on firefox; all my pdfs were showing up as black. To fix that, I refreshed firefox, which solved the problem just fine. Unfortunately, once I did all my extensions stopped working. The page looks like this.

For most of my extensions, I can just solve this by getting rid of them and adding them again, but if I do that for onetab I'd lose all my stored tabs. How can I get this back?

Certain PDFs only allow page view when opened in Firefox. When opened with other PDF viewing software or browsers (Microsoft Edge, Adobe Acrobat, Google Chrome), these PDFs allow continuous scrolling. I don't have this issue for most PDFs.

I've tried fixing the problem by editing the PDF settings in Adobe Acrobat but to no avail. When combining a PDF that works fine with a PDF that doesn't allow continuous scrolling in Firefox, it seems to take on the settings of not allowing continuous scrolling.

Examples (these link to documents from a Florida public document database): Example 1 (made with Power PDF Create) Example 2 (made with Adobe PDF Library): https://depedms.dep.state.fl.us:443/Oculus/servlet/shell?command=getEntity&[guid=5.506115.1]&[profile=Cleanup_Remediation]

On loading some documents a popup appears asking me to "Sign on the dotted line". This shows a pencil making a signature. I am unable to move or delete this popup and therefore cannot read the document fully. I can't print it either as the popup obscures the printer instruction area. I would be very pleased to know how to remove/block/disable this uncalled for obstruction

I read Firefox's suggestion to use the browser to edit pdf's and thought I'd give it a try, thinking I might be able to use it instead of my old Adobe Acrobat editor.

But I immediately noticed that there's no way to draw a shape with the Firefox pdf editor - a circle for example. The Help says I can select shapes from the Draw menu but the only thing that appears on my Draw menu is a line (see the attachment).

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Mozilla Support Community,

I use Firefox Desktop as my primary browser for running a corporate consultancy agency. Recently, I've noticed an issue with Firefox's built-in PDF reader (pdf.js) on certain official interactive forms.

When downloading, previewing, and filling out business registration forms, MOA templates, or tax certificates from corporate web portals (such as the SECP Portal Pakistan for company name search and FBR verification tools), certain custom font fields in the PDF appear overlapped or fail to display input text properly.

System Details:

Firefox Version: Latest Desktop Release (Windows 11) Issue: Form text fields in interactive PDFs fail to render non-standard font glyphs properly. I wanted to ask:

Is there a specific preference in about:config to force Firefox's PDF.js viewer to fallback to system fonts for interactive form fields? Is there a way to reset pdf.js rendering cache without clearing general site cookies and sessions for web applications? Any troubleshooting tips or about:config tweaks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! https://secpportal.com.pk/

There is an issue with PDFs downloaded using the Firefox PDF viewer. The PDF contains a valid digital signature. When I set the parameter pdfjs.disabled = true, everything works as expected, the PDF is downloaded correctly, and when I open it with Adobe Reader, the signature is valid. However, when I set this parameter to false (default value) and download the PDF using the built-in Firefox PDF viewer, the signature becomes invalid. I compared both PDF files using a text editor and a diff tool, and the only difference I found was a specific change in the content. 1)pdf- signature is valid Ψα Exif II* μ Ducky d α http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/ <x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.6-c138 79.159824, 2016/09/14-01:09:01 "> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about="" xmlns:xmpMM="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/mm/" xmlns:stRef="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/sType/ResourceRef#" xmlns:xmp="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" xmpMM:DocumentID="xmp.did:FF61BC20787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmpMM:InstanceID="xmp.iid:FF61BC1F787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmp:CreatorTool="paint.net 4.0.16"> <xmpMM:DerivedFrom stRef:instanceID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5" stRef:documentID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF> </x:xmpmeta> ξ Adobe dΐ Ϋ „ ΐ F F Δ • 2)invalid pdf Ψα Exif μ Ducky d α http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/ <x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.6-c138 79.159824, 2016/09/14-01:09:01 "> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about="" xmlns:xmpMM="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/mm/" xmlns:stRef="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/sType/ResourceRef#" xmlns:xmp="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" xmpMM:DocumentID="xmp.did:FF61BC20787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmpMM:InstanceID="xmp.iid:FF61BC1F787811E896E6E83BD502C18A" xmp:CreatorTool="paint.net 4.0.16"> <xmpMM:DerivedFrom stRef:instanceID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5" stRef:documentID="452A56456B1E68A148301EBAD51349D5"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF> </x:xmpmeta> ξ Adobe dΐ Ϋ „ ΐ F F Δ • I cannot understand why the Firefox PDF viewer modifies the PDF content. Firefox 157.0 (aarch64) macOS Tahoe 26.7.1

When I click on the link to a PDF to open it in Firefox and click on the Save icon in the file viewing UI (see attached image pdf-save-icon.png) to save it to my local device, no File Save dialog box opens and nothing happens.

If I right click on the link to the file instead of opening the file, the file is saved silently to the Downloads folder with a name that ends in .pdf.part (see attached image filename.png). That typically indicates a partial, failed download, but in this case, if I remove the .part from the filename, the result is a viable PDF.
