I run the current version of Firefox on a Dell Inspiron laptop under Windows 11 Pro. I have around 8,000 bookmarks, and I try to keep them current. Every so often, quite a few (about half) of my tags disappear, and I have to spend two or three days restoring them. Why do the tags disappear, and how can I prevent their loss?

I recently enabled Firefox's built in VPN. Signed into my Mozilla account, and when I toggle the VPN ON, every site gives "Secure Connection Failed". If I toggle the VPN OFF, it all goes back to normal.

I go through the process up to 2FA then I get this message " Looks like there’s a problem with this site The server at outlook.live.com sent back an error: 401 Unauthorized".

I recently tried MS Edge even though I always use Firefox. I went through the login process including 2FA and got right in to my email. Can you help?

I prefer to use Firefox and have used it for years.

PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR happens far too often (and with other well known sites too). it seems to happen more often since the 149 release.

I must assume that you are getting far too sensitive and don't care about real well known sites.

I am investigating a persistent geolocation issue affecting Firefox, where the browser geolocation API returns a precise but incorrect location in the United States.

Actual location: United Kingdom (precise location not shared for privacy)

Incorrect location returned: 39.264542, -76.765924 (Catonsville, Maryland, USA) Reported accuracy: approximately 185 meters around this incorrect point

This issue has been extensively tested and does not appear to be related to IP geolocation, system configuration, or local network setup.

Summary of findings: Reproduced in Firefox and across other browsers:

Mozilla Firefox Microsoft Edge Google Chrome Brave

Reproduced across multiple systems: Windows 11 Windows Server 2025

Reproduced across multiple public IPs: Static /29 allocation BT dynamic IP (completely different address) → Same incorrect Maryland location returned in all cases

Wi-Fi vs Ethernet: Wi-Fi (with SSID/location services) returns correct UK location Ethernet consistently returns Maryland → Indicates fallback to provider-based geolocation rather than IP-based resolution

All standard IP geolocation sources are correct (UK): ipinfo.io ifconfig.co DB-IP / BrowserLeaks IP lookup RIPE allocation Reverse DNS (BT Openworld)

Command-line and non-browser tests confirm correct UK location: curl / PowerShell requests return UK consistently No evidence of US routing, proxying, or DNS leakage

Critical observation: Firefox geolocation (navigator.geolocation) returns:

Exact same coordinates every time Same result across all browsers and machines Consistent high-precision accuracy (~185 meters) around the incorrect Maryland location

Control comparison: Pale Moon (more IP-based geolocation path) returns correct UK location

Conclusion: This does not appear to be a traditional IP geolocation issue.

All IP-based systems resolve correctly to the UK. The incorrect result only occurs when using browser geolocation APIs.

Given: The consistency across browsers and systems The identical coordinates returned each time The high-precision accuracy around the incorrect location

This strongly suggests a provider-side geolocation dataset issue.

Since Firefox uses Mozilla Location Services, I would like to confirm whether:

This result is coming from Mozilla Location Services directly, or from an upstream/shared dataset Whether this type of persistent incorrect high-confidence location can be corrected or escalated within Mozilla’s geolocation system

The window is not coming, up. shut it down with task mgr. Deleted xul.json file and it worked for a little while. but broke toady. Windows update done andn restarted.

I've use Firefox vpn for some time now. Suddenly any attempt to access a website, including the lovely link to my kindle book suggested by Firefox results in this: Secure Connection Failed

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem. message. Firefox is blocking me with no way around??? Regular firefox now just doesn't download! I want to congratulate your implementation of a security nightmare with zero testing. Please tell you product development and marketing folks that they won't have to worry our reading and acting on any of your advertisements!

When I try to open Firefox, I get a box saying it is open, and I must close it. I do so, and a new Firefox pops up. However when I try to close that, it won't do so.

Is there a setting to disable product update notifications?

For example, I got a notification on Windows today prompting me to try out Firefox's new split tab view.

I do not want to receive these product update notifications.

I know I can disable notifications in Windows at the OS level, however, this also disables notifications for all websites I have enabled.

Is there an option to disable these?

I have been using Firefox for years and had no problems. I have it setup for custom URL home page to yahoo. When I go in and try to search anything, it shows about:blank. If i try several times it will work. For testing, I tried google chrome and do not have this problem.

Any thoughts?

video downloadhelper is not saving the videos to vdhelper folder any longer. how do I change the folder location for only the video downloadhelper. its going straight to download folder.

On a random basis, sites like msn.com, yahoo mail or outlook.com will freeze. Sometimes they may suddenly come back to life, but the normal fix is delete tab and restart tab. Long videos may also freeze. Have cleared history, and changed optimization setting but nothing helps. On 151.0.2 64 bit.
