My Macbook wasn't responding, so I restarted it and force quit all applications. When I opened Firefox again, none of my bookmarks showed on my bookmarks bar. The bar itself is not hidden. I checked to make sure I have the same profile I always use open and I do. I also tried to go into Bookmarks, Manage Bookmarks, Import, but nothing is available to import.
My saved passwords have disappeared from my browser, is there a way to retrieve them?

For the past, about 9 months, every time any update is applied to my Firefox browser, I loose access to my Bookmarks (approx 10 years worth) and have to go through the tedious process of copying, renaming, moving, restarting etc. Is Mozilla going to fix this issue soon or should I just resign myself to having to check my bookmarks every couple of days or so to see if they still exist.

I have refreshed Firefox numerous times, and the same thing happens each time I try to use Firefox now. This has been happening for over a month. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox multiple times.

This morning this was at the top of my screen when I logged into my computer. "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks..."
I did click on it however nothing happened or so I thought. I later go to the upper right hamburger and click on it and go to the bookmark tab only to find all my bookmarks are gone.
Can anyone tell me how to get them back since that is my quick access to my business sites? Is there a way to find them or are they just gone?
I cannot get the tab to stay out so I can take a screen shot. Sorry.

Hi folks, I restarted Firefox today on my Macbook and now the Restore Previous Session option is no longer working. I've tried the Sessionstore fix described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup but it is not doing the trick. I've used it multiple times in the past and it has always worked up until now.
I've since opened a couple of new tabs and then shut Firefox down to see if the Restore Previous Session will bring those particular tabs back. However the Restore previous session remains greyed out. I suspect it may be to do with the latest update to 149.0.2. I downloaded and installed that two days ago, but only restarted this morning so I think the update would have been done then. Are there known issues with this update, and is a fix coming? Hello, I use Windows 11 on my PC in France. I lost all my Firefox bookmarks and browsing history some time ago. When I try to use Firefox I get the message : Firefox is not operational because one of the Firefox files is being used by another application. I have tried to get an explanation on firefox.fr but to no avail, their support page is far too complex. I can still browse with Frefox but no bookmarks, so it defeats the purpose... Please help if you can as I now have to resort to Google Chrome, wich is not as versatile and I would really like to be able to use Firefox again. Thanks. Raymond

My bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar have disappeared, I can no longer save a bookmark anywhere. Some of my bookmark folders have disappeared. I have tried restoring but I get the message "unable to process backup file"even after importing the file from my other laptop using both HTML files and .json files. I tried refreshing firefox, that didn't help. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it with the same results. Never had a problem with firefox before, but it's useless now! Can anyone help?
