My local newspaper has gone only digital, which I actually like. But, there is an option on the bottom of the reader that is available when using Edge and is not available when I use Firefox. A mouseOver on Edge displays "Print or clip". Yes, it's a snipping tool and/or print option. But it really right-sizes the snipped area perfectly for printing crossword puzzles. The Windows snipping tool (Windows 11) makes it too small so I need to go to Edge for only this one task. My first preference would be to get the function on the Firefox screen, and my second choice would be to figure out how to use the Windows snipping tool to print without leaving Firefox. I'm having problems getting Firefox to work in Protonmail un able to send emails ...Copy& Paste......I think it is this New Version.............When I removed it from my applications & downloaded Google Chrome it all worked, that tells me the problem is with Fire Fox version I think

I get all other websites and I used to access couchmanagers.com on Firefox. But recently on about 90% of the clicks to this site I do NOT receive the "Current Auction" and "Chat" pages. What can I do to resolve this issue other than use another Browser. This site works fine on my Fire Tablet and everyone else computers and tablets.

I use Firefox on all of my computers and they all have a plus sign next to an open tab to open a new tab, but on this computer I have to right click on the 5tab bar to open a new tab - how can I get the plus sign to show for easy tab opening?

Recently I have had to sign in to my sbcglobal.net email account every single time I open Firefox on my desktop computer. Firefox is default and my sbcglobal.net mail account is set as my home page. This is not a problem on my iPhone. What is the problem with the desktop and why did it start within the last week or 2?

I recently (2 days ago) discovered that my Firefox was broken immediately following a Windows 11 update (2026-01 Preview Update (KB5074105) (26200.7705), in case this means anything to anyone). I first noticed my bookmarks and browsing history were gone (which I noticed a lot of people have already been complaining about recently). I want to start off by EXPLICITLY saying I have tried restarting Firefox, my computer, and following the instructions from the most commonly linked solutions (1 1, 2 2 , 3 3). None of it has many any difference to speak of. Now, onto the diagnosis.

My history is still not being remember or updated. Furthermore, the history management tool (the one that opens up on Ctrl + Shift + O) is completely non-functional. Clicking any button in there does nothing. I have tried to go "Import and Backup -> Restore -> Choose a File", especially because I managed to locate the .jsonlz4 backup files for my bookmarks in the root folder of my (one and only) profile. The history manager does not allow me to open a file, in fact clicking "Choose a File" does not even open a file selection menu. Clicking "Backup" does nothing, clicking "Import Bookmarks from HTML" does nothing. "Views" is also completely empty (which I assume makes sense, given there is no browsing history to speak of).

My only guess is my profile ended up broken somehow? I would guess the Windows update had something to do with it, but the fact that the history is still not being saved 2 days later confuses me greatly. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.

I have my browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo in about:config set to 60 – it's been like this and working fine for several months.

It's set to this high number because I use an assistive technology which creates a fresh pop-up every time I deploy it, and Firefox treats it as a browser window closure when I close the pop-up. Consequently, I can easily rattle through well over 25 window closures in a day.

It's not necessarily that each window contains dozens of tabs and copious data, but nevertheless Firefox still treats it as a window 'within the meaning of the act'!

I just went to reopen one closed window from a couple days ago which did contain many tabs (partly why I closed it in the first place), only to find that the 'recently-closed windows' context menu is now only showing 20 windows (18 of which are the aforementioned pop-up assistive technology windows)

The really vital window that I want to reopen is not showing.

I've double checked in about: config and the browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo is still set to 60 windows; nothing has been altered or reset.

I updated Firefox to 147.0.4 yesterday evening, but the problem existed before I updated Firefox, and is still in evidence since updating.

Two questions:

1) Why is the Recently Closed Windows context menu not showing the full number of windows it has been successfully doing with no problem now for months? I used to have to scroll down to access the full extent of the 60, but they were always there.

2) Why has it arbitrarily changed to 25 windows?

3) [I lied – Our chief weapons etc...] Is there a way that – given about:config still implies that the most recent 60 windows are retrievable – that I can access beyond the 25 windows limit that are currently showing as reopenable?

(And yes, I already have things like OneTab and Tab Session Manager add-ons, but disabled those just before closing the important window, because I was trying to locate which add-on was draining the CPU. I assumed my 'recently-closed windows' buffer of 60 would suffice while I disabled the add-ons.)

My bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar have disappeared, I can no longer save a bookmark anywhere. Some of my bookmark folders have disappeared. I have tried restoring but I get the message "unable to process backup file"even after importing the file from my other laptop using both HTML files and .json files. I tried refreshing firefox, that didn't help. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it with the same results. Never had a problem with firefox before, but it's useless now! Can anyone help?

Mid day Sunday my whole account disappeared and I had to create a new one. If this was an update I dont like it I dont have the time for this. Why did this happen. I have been a supporter for years and now not sure

after my laptop crashed (again did so over 100 times) but this time all history is gone, could not restore last session/s - can't log into my accounts (any) - can't set it to an earlier date (e.g. yesterday) to eliminate whatever the problem is (am not an IT expert, so I don't know how - just know that it is possible) - I have tried for 4 hours - no avail - I really need the status of 4-5 hours ago so I don't lose so much

The wrong password shows when I try to log into dws.com. The password that shows is 0606945495. I have gone to passwords in the browser and the correct password is shown, yet the wrong password still is shown.

I am unable to open PDFs from my bank. I tried the following steps;

Change Default PDF Viewer:

   Go to Firefox Settings.
   Scroll down to the Applications section.
   Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list.
   Change the action to Open in Firefox or Preview in Firefox.

Clear Bank Cache/Cookies:

   Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.
   Select Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data.
   Search for your bank's website and clear its data.
