I posted here the other day and no help came my way.

I had all my emails accounts at Google, my xbox account, my facebook and my MS account hacked.

What do they all have in common?

Their log in and password were saved in my Firefox.

The other gmail accounts I have that are not saved were NOT hacked.

Is it just a coincidence?

Can anyone at Mozilla care to respond?

Doesn't work!!! DON"T have dsengine.js only have channel-prefs in folder! STILL GET BING SEARCH!!

You can look for a file named dsengine.cfg in the main Firefox program folder.

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\

Delete the dsengine.js and dsengine.cfg files when present.

Hi there - I have had a persistent issue with Firefox not playing any audio out of the blue. I have checked my computer settings, refreshed firefox, reinstalled firefox, and still have no sign of what could have caused the issue. I am running windows 10. For reference, this has happened before but got resolved when I re-installed Firefox previously.

Any chance this is a bug that can be patched out? Please advise.

Hi. Thanks for your help. I like to save some emails in a detailed and extended folder list. Whenever I create a folder list to file emails I don't want to delete, it eventually disapears. How can I stop this happening?

With automatic updates, does Firefox actually notice when the computer's operating system no longer meets the system requirements? Will the update still be carried out, even though this could lead to problems with use, or will Firefox stop the updates automatically?

how do I stop videos from news items I scroll past from from opening in a small window or at all for that matter in my screen? its driving me Crazy I only want to watch what I chose. its infuriating. Please help if you can yours Glenn [email removed]

The original email address identifier I used to get into Firefox sync was discontinued by my provider and I could no longer get or send email from that account.

The new email account is a modification of the old one and now conforms with my provider’s new identifier.

Of course this change made it impossible to get into my Firefox account and to use Firefox Sync.

My old email address, which is no longer functional, is tied to the account and I can’t get into the account to change the settings and replace the email address. Nor can I delete the account.

I tried to get into the account by switching to my google email address but the same problem arose each time. I am denied entry because the Google Authentication Code which I get on my phone and enter on my browser is always flagged as INVALID. This has happened so often that I am seriously considering changing from Firefox to a different browser.

My old Firefox recovery keys no longer work either. Presumably they are tied to the old email address and password.

I support Mozilla and it’s philosophy of open source, but this is driving me to desperation.

All I want to do is sync my two computer browsers with each other so I can work better. To do that I need to get back into my account.

Hi; Search engine does not open in new tab. This is not how it used to work. Not sure when this started, possibly when windows updated to Win11(2 weeks ago), but not sure. I think there used to be a setting for opening a search in new tab, but I can not find it. I have "Add search bar in toolbar" checked. I use DDG as search engine. I did lookup in FF help but found 10yr old answers. I am sure many things have changed since then.

Also when searching FF help is there a way to sort by newest first?

For about 2 months now I have been unable to login to my AOL account to read my email. I contacted AOL support, they took my Gmail address and verified that my account was active, but yet I cannot login.

Below are 2 screen shots of what happens when I try to login: The result in both cases is:

As I see on the internet, I am not the only person suffering from this problem. Microsoft edge is able to access my email on AOL. Why can't Firefox after all these updates?

I am trying to recover passwords from an older profile into a new profile. I want to import the data to the new profile but Mozilla only wants it from another browser or a .csv file. Where is the file? I have created another new profile so I don't know which is which. Any7 help is appreciated.

Hello, my websites that I use when at work are now not functioning, including but not limited to

class link, google drive, google forms, google doc, google sheets

I can't access any of them or share any of them with coworkers for some reason. Of course Google browser lets me do everything however, I prefer fire fox instead, because I have been using FFox for many years.

So someone please fix this issue!

So i was using firefox in Linux recently and now because of linux issues, i switch back to windows. I logged in with same id but sync is not working. I had a long history of passwords, extensions and bookmarks. Also opened tabs and all but the account sync is not working. I even verified if this is the same account i logged in with in linux as i have 2FA and in the app it says this is the email i used for it. Please help me ASAP

I have an email account blocked (jgcaller129@gmail.com) and have tried the sync tab at the top corner of my computer. It sends a message with a number to this blocked email to unblock it- how am I supposed to get an email from you on a blocked account. How do I unblock this account. I have tried several times with the same result now the icon to sync isn't there anymore. PLEASE HELP This email is very important to me. You can send a reply to an alternate email account (also linked to Firefox -jgcaller15@gmail.com).

I set a password for opening Firefox (Windows) and every time I opened FF I was prompted to enter my password. This was true in either privacy browsing or normal mode. Today for some reason I hit the cancel button and FF opened up normally to my default settings.

This was surprising to me. And I tried to find specific settings to ensure FF will not open unless you enter a pw.

Could not. So what good is a pw? And of course there is always the - I don't know what I'm doing to configure FF correctly.

This represents a failure in that a password setting is misleading, leading a user to believe that they have secured access to FF. If you can select cancel and FF opens this is a real issue.

On the other hand, if FF password was never designed to protect FF then this should be stated.

I strongly urge that Mozilla FF look at having the ability to create a PW protected, selectable -> unsynced or synced, version of FF that is stored in a protected form.

I am looking for a browser that is PW protected on top of your normal OS login. And that the URLs stored in that browser are encrypted. This offers an additional layer of protection for users who keep financial, health, etc., sensitive URLs that need to be kept private, not shared if so desired.

I refreshed my Firefox and lost my headers, tool bars and tabs. How do I get them back? It is like I am starting on Day 1, -- and my memory is not that good. I thought it told me I would not lose that stuff.
