I have two monitors: Monitor 1 is Asus PG248QP(Run in 1920 x 1080 360hz landscape 100% scale) Monitor 2 is G272U Pro(Run in 4320 x 2160 60hz landscape 150% scale). I arrange them veritcally, monitor 2 on top and monitor 1 at the bottom.
When I minimize the non-fullscreen firefox window on the monitor 1, black/transparent border shows on the left, right, and bottom of the firefox window.
When I arrange two monitor horizontally, everything normal. I place monitor 1 at the left of monitor 2.
When I do this on the monitor 2, everything normal.
I have to use two monitors vertically, since I don't have much space.
I also tried different versions of firefox. for now, 129.0 to 136 has these problems. I have install chrome, brave, edge. None of them has this problem.

My bookmarks have been removed from the bookmarks toolbar. I'm not sure how this happened or how to restore them. In the attached screenshot, you can see the bookmarks and their folders still exist under "Bookmarks Toolbar", yet they're gone from the toolbar itself. I'm not sure what to do next?

I used an icon from Customize ToolBar that disappeared and disrupted my work organization. I don't know what it's called. It was on the right side of the Menu Bar next to Library icon and when I needed it I clicked on it to open the List of History/Bookmarks/Other Bookmarks on the left side of the screen. The icon was a square divided into two parts. In addition, the links I saved that I use often under site finder disappeared. Sincerely, S. Vlad

Yesteday, 4/9/25, I did a Microsoft update on my system. As soon as I opened my browser afterward, all the fonts on the toolbars, tabs, menus, search bar, etc. were changed from the font point they were at, to some miniscule, barely seeable size. This is happening to everything above the work screen in Firefox, and my File Explorer. Everything below the search bar line is as it should be. How do I resize all the toolbars etc. to their previous size? Thank you for any relevant assistance.

I have tried the sidebar and it seems OK BUT the background colour is pale blue and the text on top of it is white. This means it is very difficult to read. How do you change either the background colour of the sidebar OR the colour of the text in the sidebar? I have tried the main settings (Manage Colours) for Firefox and found nothing.

My Macbook pro auto updated firefox to 136.0.2 (aarch64). Now I do not have the option to always turn on the scroll bar. I used to have this by going to settings > general > browsing, and there'd be an option saying "always show scrollbars". In this edition, it is gone. How do I now enable always having my scrollbar on so I can see it?

Hi, I'm trying to hide my tabs bar so I can reduce clutter with the Tree-style tabs extension, but there is a problem Every solution I've found also hides the X, maximize, and minimize buttons above it. Is there any way to fix this? I have a userChrome.css file already, by the way.

Firefox now has a dark background on a "simple" html page without css styling (see screenshot #1). You may reproduce this issue by browsing to a local page like http://localhost:8080 with something like a 404-page (see screenshot #2)
That far - dark mode is cool, isn't it? Yep, it would be. If the text would not be black, on a dark background.
Happens to me without any plugins, or any userChrome etc. (Screenshot was taken with plugins on, but disabling them (and restarting) had no effect)
Workarounds discovered: - set `layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override` to 1 (This changes nearly everything to white, which is not what I want.
- Setting theme to the builtin white/light works, but:
- View Source has white text on white background (see screenshot #3) - Everything is in light mode, and thats simply not what I want
What I would expect: - Viewing a page without shitty modifications - Viewing a white page (suprise suprise) white
(please excuse spelling/grammar errors made, I am not a native speaker)
I want white background screen instead of black background screen.

Hello,
I'm experiencing a visual issue when typing in text input fields (such as input boxes or textareas) in Firefox. While typing, a dark overlay or block appears behind the current word or text I'm typing, which makes it very hard to read. It looks like some kind of highlight or shadow, possibly related to spellcheck or text recognition.
This issue occurs across different websites and makes it uncomfortable to type for long periods. I'm currently using Firefox [137.0.2] on Windows 10.
I've attached a screenshot that shows the problem clearly.
Things I've tried so far: - Disabling spellcheck - Changing themes - Disabling extensions - Testing in private window
None of these solved the issue.
Notably, switching to the **light theme** makes the issue disappear — the text input background becomes clear and easy to read again. However, I prefer to use the **dark theme**, so I’m looking for a solution that works in dark mode as well.
Can anyone help identify what's causing this or suggest a way to disable this effect while keeping the dark theme?
Thanks in advance!
