Hello,

How can I move the cursor to be, by default, place into the "search the web" firefox space and not in the address bar. I want that when I start Firefox and when I open a new tab. I don't want third party. I want to modify the About:config to fix this

Up until a few years ago it was possible to save new bookmarks to the Bookmarks Menu and they would appear in alphabetical order. This has no longer been the case for me in the last 2-3 years (I regularly check to ensure that I do have the latest version running). When I save a new bookmark it appears right at the end of all the other bookmarks I have. I can view the bookmarks in full alphabetical order when I use Bookmark manager BUT cannot save them permanently in this format. It simply reverts back to the old part sorted list when I try to save a new bookmark. Any help gratefully received.

Over the last week or so, I've started seeing this (see screenshot) when I first start Firefox. It use to be just the large icons with stories, three across, but now there's the addition of the vertical strip on the right hand side. How do I go back to just the three across?

When I use the Firefox browser, the use of this site is very slow, messages do not appear, and the site is horribly slow. Facebook also has the same problem. Please fix this problem.

인터넷 웹 사이트를 보다 보면 어느 순간부터 동영상이 재생되지 않음. 주로 mp4 인것 같고, youtube 는 여전히 재생 가능함. 화면이 초록색, 혹은 검은색 등으로 반응을 하지 않고, 재생되지 않음.

개인적인 경험으로 유추해 보길 탭을 많이 열면 그런것 같음. 탭을 많이 열면 50~100 혹은 그이상도 열긴 하는데 한번 영상 재생이 안되기 시작하면 껐다 켜기전까진 계속 재생이 안됨.

혹시 설정에서 뭔가 수정해 볼 수 있는 방법이 있을지?

(* 하드웨어 가속 은 꺼봤는데 소용없음)

Normally, if I were to close a tab while using a regular Firefox window, I could use the Ctrl+Shift+T hotkey to bring that tab back again. However, if I do so right now (for example, Wikipedia's Mozilla article), I will not bring that page back but instead an older, longer-closed tab from some days ago. I can keep trying to close and reopen tabs, or just keep reopening tabs, and I will continue to dig up older and older tabs from longer and longer ago.

Is this a known issue, what might have changed that behavior, and how do I restore the expected functionality of tabs correctly being reopened in the reverse order that they were closed?

After an update to Win11 24h2 and every time I open Firefox a message (attachment) appears and I can't do anything. I've already uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work.

Sooooo, this is Driving Me Nuts!!!

Facebook.com is Redirecting to https://business.facebook.com/business/loginpage/ after I log in.

I have LITERALLY tried everything to fix this (and I'm no noob)!!!! It's not a Plugin or Extension, it's not related to HTTPS over DNS or any Browser Privacy Settings; not a Cookie or any Saved Site Setting, nor is it anything in My Antivirus or Windows 10 Registry (I purged EVERYTHING!). Nothing in the Hosts File, etc etc etc....

It was working until whatever update I did, and it works fine in Opera and Chrome as well as on another PC with a fully patched FF Browser.

Any Ideas or a Solution would be EPIC, I am ALMOST out of options and I'm all Grepped Out....TIA!

I noticed that after Norton updated their Anti Virus to 24.10.9535, that I sometimes get a message that says "Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla", when I click on the Lock Icon. I never saw this before the Norton Graphics User Interface was updated to the most current one. I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but No change. With some websites, for instance https://support.mozilla.org, I see the normal "Connection secure >", right underneath the "Site information for support.mozilla.org". But with something like: https://www.att.com, I see the error that I never saw before. I sent a message to Norton with this information too, but I don't know if they will respond or not. I know that I'm still getting the "Connection secure >", above the error, but it bothers me to see that error underneath. I am on Windows 10, using Firefox 132.0.2, at the moment. Also, Windows 10 is version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5131), so I have all the latest patches. On my Windows 11 PC, that Norton is still using GUI version 22.24.8.36, I Never see this error. (Windows 11 is on the newest Windows version, with all patches installed; and Firefox is version 132.0.2)

Don't recall when the change actually took place, but now on the Gmail page the following pop-up always appears "use firefox to open mail.google.com every time you click a link that opens your email?"

Do note that I'm also using thunderbird and it is installed as the default mail handler in windows.

I've also changed network.protocol-handler.external.mailto to false in the firefox settings. It has not solved the issue, the question re-appears at every firefox startup.

By research on doctorfmh.ch, message from Firefox : session is invalid With Safari, no problem. What to do to repair that ?

For some time, I have problems opening links in a new tabs (CTRL+click on link).

Whenever I try, the new tab opens but the web page would either not open at all or only partially. Examples: clicking link A while being on page B leads to C 1. A: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/contribute

These problems do not appear, when I open links in the same tab. They also do not appear, when I open links in a new tab in another browser.

Thus, it must be some issue with Firefox' 'open in new tab'-function.

Any ideas what to do?

I beleive in the recent versions of Firefox, shortcut keys have been added/changed such that holding the Option key while in the URL Search bar activates other functions (Switching search engines: Option + Up/Down Arrow) and completely disables my ability to move left or right through the URL by word.

Is there any way I can disable this shortcut key combination?
