I ran a Windows 11 Update and after I opened Firefox, it shows all the tabs that were there but each tab indicates that it's 'Crashed'. The 'Tab Crash Reporter' doesn't restore a single tab nor does it react to 'Restore all Tabs'. It looks like Firefox is NOT connecting to the web.

I'm entering this using the Edge browser.

tried few below steps Remove all Extensions, Reset Browser again if same issue remove the user profile and login with the new profile if same issue try un-installing and re-installing browser with the different account did a clean re installation by removing local files from the help of forced uninstaller reinstalled it but the issue still persist also tested by disabling antivirus although the computer worked with mcafee earlier please provide a solution to this computer is running on win 11 with the latest 25H2 update

I had to uninstall Firefox. I briefly added then removed an extension called "atlas speed dial". Since then, I haven't been able to get a tab to open. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. It recognized that Firefox was on my pc before when it reinstalled. I had some tabs open and organized. I tried to recover tabs. I tried just using a new window and opening new tabs. Finally I just uninstalled for good, unless someone can tell me how to fix this issue. I'm using two other browsers. Luckily, when I installed another browser I'm using, I decided to temporarily set the new one as my default. I've setup several shortcuts and organized my desktop since then. So all of the shortcuts work through the other browser. But, I'd really like to still be able to use Firefox and especially would like to restore my open tab organization.

Since around version 96 it seemed some new core changes made to how ff operates. any one care to share what the "big changes" were around that version rollout tldr?

since ver 96 ff became secondary browser. Using to test/isolate issues w/chromium (sigh). Now since ver 132 profile manager opens browser for correct profile everything looks good then 20seconds later ff crashes eorror: Exiting due to channel error

Inspiringly i see this forum is being used still so thought i would see if anyone has ideas what changes btwn ver 96/101 and 132 which may cause this new issue, maybe i can backout the changes and get back to using ff as a secondary backup again ....

IDK about anyone else but i LOOOOONG for the ole days when ff was a daily driver option on linux

we have a web application with different web pages generated by Vaadin. Since our client updated to Firefox version 128, Firefox reliably crashes on one specific web page. Previous firefox version was 102.

Crash message: Gah. your tab just crashed

This is what we have done so far but without success: - Checked on different customer terminals (all showing same issue) - Raised RAM - Changed to troubleshoot (safe) mode - Disabled hardware acceleration - Cleared windows font cache - Checked crash reports

Currently there is no option to update firefox to a newer version.

Hello dear Mozilla team,

It has come to my attention that it is the second time, that Firefox randomly restarts (crashes?) and as an consequence of it Loose all of my tab groups, which are really help-full to separate work and projects at work.

Is there something known about this behavior ?

Just to know if it is known why this happens. Or what should I keep in thoughts to prevent it....

There is a common error documented in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-already-running-not-responding but none of the solutions fix my problem.

I have signed out of my PC and mobile devices Done a complete uninstall of firefox on the Windows 11 machine Searched and removed ALL files on the drive associated with Firefox or Mozilla, including cache and temp Searched and removed ALL Firefox or Mozilla keys in the registry Checkdisk Used update to refresh the windows install Multiple reboots

and a fresh download and install of Firefox. And still get the "already running" error. If I wait long enough - several minutes - I will get the "crash report" screen as the background process finally ends.

Any suggestions?

For whatever reason every time 'Firefox' browser goes down my email shuts down also. This did not happen prior to trashcan Win!!(recently installed). It's a pain in the ass having to reactivate 'Firefox' then contact my email server to reactivate my email service. Any assist is appreciated. TangoYankee in advance.

Recently i have a issue on firefox that it has been crashing without any warning or signs and these crashes are absolutely random no pattern upto my pov. IDK whats the issue

Hello. The browser will start fine and run for most of the day. I haven't made any known changes to the PC. At some point the browser will crash for all tabs and all windows. Any attempt to refresh goes to the screen as seen in the attached image. The "Restore This Tab" button does not work. I have to close all Firefox windows. Then the browser will work again.

I'm using an Alien computer. Windows 11. Everything is up to date. Firefox version 145.0.2 (64-bit)

Is it coincidence that this is happening on my Windows 10 machine since MS support for Win10 officially stopped? Gosh, I just don't know! grar grar grar

I tried several things, but nothing helped so far. I did an offline-scan with Windows Defender, I opened FF in troubleshoot mode, cleared cache etc. I got the following crash-ID:

My GPU is the integrated GPU on the Intel U7-155H CPU. When some AVC videos are played, the browser reacts extremely slow and the video image is glitched and at a really low rate of frame, and the video decoding engine seemed to be 100% occupied as shown in the task manager (normal video playback never occupied so much of it). Seems like AV1 encoded video never triggered the problem. The problem doesn't always happen, but at a rather high frequency. This never happened before I updated the Intel graphics driver from 32.0.101.5972 to 32.0.101.6129. The problem seemed not to happen on other browsers such as Microsoft Edge.

I've used Firefox for years and never had a problem with crashing. For several months now, it's constantly crashing. I submit a report most times but nothing seems to change. Please help! If it doesn't stop soon, I'll be leaving Firefox for good. It's making it impossible to get anything done.

So, I cannot get sound through firefox and you want me to search through numerous panels that do nothing to get a result., You want me to check connections and equipment that work in other apps which I have already gone through steps to prove.

You also have zero ability to actually contact a support rep. You prefer I go on the roundabout of obfuscation until I really want to find someone in mozilla management and insert the mozilla organisation on a long pole, five km should about do it.

Firefox crashes every day or so on my home computer. The most common error message is "kmode exception not handled." I've tried the suggested fixes. Nothing helps. The crashes are not being recorded in "about crashes" or in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\. So it seems the crash reporter has to be fixed before the problem causing the crashes can be identified. Firefox does not crash on my office computer and no other program causes my home computer to crash. Thank you.
