Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Why am I suddenly having to login to FF after every PC restart? This happens all the time now, but not on Android. Also, when I log back in I get duplicate emails with the same codes to confirm my details. What is going on?? I have not got FF set to delete data on exit.

I set up profiles on my work computer and I have sync set up but when I access firefox on my personal computer I don't have the profiles. Is there a way to sync my profiles as well so I can access them wherever I log into Firefox?

Hello I seem to have lost the ability to choose whether my bookmarks toolbar displays icons and text or icons only. At present I have icons plus 4 letters of text fading out. I want to return to icons only. How do I do this? Regards

a,most weekly when I try to open a new tab I'm told an update started in the background and I need to restart firefox to continue working. I can't open any new tabs or go to a new website unless I restart. Is there a way to run updates on MY Schedule rather than having this happen. a notice that an update is ready to be installed rather than per-emotively just starting one would be polite and appreciated.. Just 'starting' it in the background without telling me makes you guys look like Microsoft rather than Mozilla.

You asked for feedback, so here it is. Most annoying bugs to me are: 1. Text search does not work. The word exists on the page, but text search can't find it 2. Uploads fail. For example, when I upload my game to steam I need to use chromium, because Firefox fails almost all the time

I would like to install firefox pc on a windows 11 laptop that already has firefox windows loaded on it, I can not get it to run. I think the installer exe has run and then get a message about windows and try again or ask for support help.

Something has happened to Firefox resently. I can't open AARPUNITED HEALTH or E*TRADE. I' been accessing those sites for years but now I can't

 If I go into Firefox Settings, Security,  and delete resent data they will work once.

Place a remove icon, not a delete app icon, in the three dots for the icons on the landing page.

Your last update placed 24+ hot links on my landing page. If I click on the 3 dots or right-click on the icon, there is no removal option. How do I get rid of the background app icons on my landing page now?

Убрал галочку в настройках с "Всегда выдавать запрос на сохранение файлов", он все равно при каждом сохранении спрашивает куда сохранить. Как теперь сохранять файлы без этого запроса?

hi Normally i write email & use mouse cursor to Highlight text & can edit text colour/size etc then send email. After a recent firefox update ; the cursor dissappears so unable to edit email text before sending. It is ok when accessing my yahoo/aol mailboxes email using Edge browser.

I open Extensions and I can't find my extension so I open manage extensions and it shows but it's not letting me use it the image that is roblox unfriender is the one not showing up and the picture of 2 extensions is the ones showing up don't roast me I'm a new user
