Very long-standing issue that keeps getting closed without resolution. My bookmarks won't stay sorted in the Bookmark Menus folder. The last solution I saw is a broken link having to do with corrupt 'Places'. Doesn't work anyway. I only have another device syncing with Firefox and not very often because I seldom use that laptop. Always this desktop.

I do have a lot of bookmarks over the years and it just keeps getting worse. If I Manage Bookmarks and sort them, they only stay sorted as long as I open that window separately. When I close it, the bookmarks are unsorted again. When will Firefox fix this? It's leaving a mess that is making my bookmarks unusable. When I click on that tab, I expect to see a bunch of folders, then files. Instead, I see files, then folders somewhere in the middle, mixed with other folders I don't even use, then a bunch more files. Sort by name doesn't show up as an option if I right click in the middle of all the files I see.

I have tried to delete those files, but they won't stay deleted. It's pulling them from somewhere, but I don't know where that 'somewhere' is. Does anybody have an idea how to contact Firefox tech support for an answer? Nobody seems to know what's going on with this issue. I won't list all my bookmarks, because some are more personal than others. This is just an idea. Please be nice. I've been using Firefox forever and a day.

When I click on the Bookmark tab and move my cursor down the list, I used to be able to hover over a bookmark and a second later I would get a small "pop-up" that would have the complete URL in it. Lately, if I hover over a bookmark, I still get the small window, but it is blank. I've had this issue for several months, thinking that an update would fix the problem, but it hasn't. I have the current version of Firefox. The image attached shows a screenshot of the issue. I am hovered on "Craigslist". You can see the blank "pop-up" as indicated by the arrow. This is on a desktop version, by the way.

Firefox crashes every 5 minutes! Comes right back, then crashes 5 min. later. Etc., etc., etc. Has been going on for 4 days. Firefox/Mozilla apparently doesn't want to talk personally in any way with anyone. Can't phone, text, email, or chat with them.

So yesterday, March 14th, we had a major snow storm which caused a power outage. When I finally got power back I now notice I can't open firefox without it just staying as a white screen (freeze). I can start it fine in safe more (hold shift and click on the icon). I just can't start it in normal mode.

My computer is using Windows 7.

What I've tried so far: 1) In safe mode I disabled every extension. Theme is already default. 2) Turned off hardware acceleration. 3) Cleared Startup Cache 4) Deleted Firefox from C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox and installed the latest version which seems to have installed it in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

Observations: 1) Changing the default user profile to a clean profile loads firefox fine. Switching it to my original profile causes it to freeze on load again. This leads me to believe that it's something to do with my profile. Possibly a corrupt file? 2)There are no error reports that I can find. 3) I noticed there was a firefox update rolled out on the 14th. Not sure if that has anything to do with this.

I've really like to not have to start a new profile. Is there anything else I can try?

TDAmeritrade is merging with Schwab.com and they say my Firefox won't work and to CHANGE my browser.

What is the problem? I'm to old to keep up with your new changes.

Give me a simple answer that an 88 yo can understand.

HEB (heb.com) Blocks account access using Firefox

Firefox will load the site page but you can no longer access your account. it gives you the error message: error: invalid_request error_description: interaction session and authentication session mismatch. They tell you you have to use Chrome, they no longer support Firefox. I do not know where to ask for Firefox for help with this issue. HEB has blocked account access using Firefox and say they only allow Google Chrome

Unable to load "Survey" websites. Two recent examples: https://survey.walmart.com https://survey.voice.va.gov/ (this one has additional info after the slash for the particular survey)

It seems there is nothing in settings that can control this. Just update automatically or notify. I hate notifications. All day I get pointless, inane notifications. Is there anything in about:config that can stop it from updating every 5 minutes?

Three questions:

How do I move my entire sorted Bookmarks in the latest version of FIREFOX from the WINDOWS 7 PC to the WINDOWS 10 PC. Both are tower style PCs.

Also, how do I do a similar task for THUNDERBIRD (latest version)?

Last week, I started my WINDOWS 8.1 (tower) PC, opened FIREFOX. It displayed a suggestion to upgrade to the latest release of FIREFOX. I clicked on it, and it made the upgrade. However, I've lost all the Bookmarks at the left side of the screen AND the 'Home' icon at the top is gone also. Please explain how to get these back.

A comment: When you publish these upgrades for both programs, WHY does these upgrades change a person's previous settings? I spent an hour the other day trying to put my Bookmarks (on the 8.1 PC) back to where they previously appeared on the left side. This is VERY annoying, to say the least. Thank you.

I am trying to find my saved passwords, for Google but they aren't showing up in the saved password list. They are somewhere. If I open Gmail, I go straight in without any asking for a password. Same thing with Youtube. Open it up and I'm already logged in. I even purchased something in Youtube without needing any password verification.

But the passwords/usernames are not appearing in the firefox list of saved logins. It just isn't there. Are they saved somewhere else? Or is there a special setting for looking at all login information?

I really REALLY don't want to reset my password yet again and have to change them all across a dozen different devices in three different physical locations.

Where are the google/youtube/google play passwords saved in Firefox? Because they are not under the general list.

Hello All, I work hard to eliminate Windows Event errors but EV 1155 Firefox Browser agent error is persistent after some reboots

I applied all the privacy and security options in the FF menu but still get the errors. I then followed the attached link to disable the browser agent which worked.

What concerns me is even after using FF Privacy & Security settings, the Browser agent startup task was still present under Mozilla in Task manager. Why is this, shouldn't the task be deleted after changing privacy settings?

I've followed all the steps in the following links and it should now be gone even after FF Updates since I changed policy settings.

Fix the taskbar icon removal process so that one or two deletes does the trick. Having to delete for every item I looked at on a site is so annoying and I can't believe you think this is ok.

I have FF v111.0.1 running on Win7 64-bit SP1 . Up until the latest FF release I could access groups.google through FF . I cannot now . I have de-selected any Add-ons , refreshed and actually re-loaded FF . Same issue . No problem at all with Edge . Please advise what I can do to make this work again ./Scott

I recently updated to Firefox 111.0.1 (64 bit) on windows 7 on a desktop and now I can't log into my online banking site. I can still get on from a laptop computer using Firefox 110.0 (64 bit) running windows 7. So either the bank changed something or Mozilla did. Another piece of information is that it appears to happen when the bank doesn't recognize my computer ( I delete my cookies and history on both computers when I exit my browser) and it provides me options to verify my identity. That screen never appears on the desktop and it takes me back to the login screen
