Up until recently (maybe a few months ago), clicking on a tel: link in Firefox opened my preferred soft phone immediately.

Recently, clicking on a tel: link opens a new tab in Firefox in addition to opening in my soft phone. How can I prevent the new tab from opening for tel links?

Firefox, as of less than an hour ago, is no longer saving tabs on close. This was also proceeded (After the first instance of this happening) by Firefox enabling the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" setting (Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data) all on its own (Also did this on my laptop a day or 2 ago). I have since uninstalled & reinstalled it almost 5x. Doesn't matter what settings I change. Doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not. It will not save them. Ever.

I have history set to not delete anything. I have the most obvious setting enabled (Startup -> Open previous windows and tabs). It still doesn't save them. Even after the reinstalls.

I have not changed my settings in over a month. The only difference between months ago, and now, is browser updates, and an extension I installed but didn't even have Enabled.

Including the issue with the browser not defaulting to the last folder that was downloaded into with the "Ask where to download" setting enabled. But that's an inconvenience. It's not making the browser virtually unusable like not having my tabs saved.

This is a new installation of Firefox. (Thank you, BTW). Whenever I try to open a new tab, a whole new window opens. It's making me crazy :-( In settings, I have this option checked: "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" But new windows are still opening. Thanks for your help!

In the Firefox View tab, we can search for Open Tabs. I am wondering how I can make a strict search for a particular pattern. For example, let's say I have hundreds of tab open for youtube like below:

how can I ONLY search for open tabs that is the youtube front page (i.e to not match anything after the ".com"). If I just search for "youtube.com", it will match all of them, but I only want the front page.

I do not speak or understand firefox program. So explaining why I continually have to fight with this program is ridiculous if you don't speak and use the language I USE AS A CUSTOMER in simple terms. I should not have to access upper people and pay money to configure my computer I paid money for already and Firesux continually ruins. I need simple terms to stop my pages from jumping behind what ever that stupid thing is that hides them. I hate that I lose so much passwords and simple processes after every gd update or whim of the programMers. This is wasting time I do not have. AGAIN!

Now i installed an app with shortcuts to youtube and netflix for easy use now whenever i press either of them they open a new firefox windows with none of my info no firefox account logged in nothing like a fresh install and it is also that when that window is opened and i open another shortcut then another windows isnt opened and just a new tab is opened in the fresh install windows

I LOVE the Rename Tab feature in Firefox. But it doesn't appear to be accessible/work in Private Windows. Frankly, there are more Private Window tabs that I'd like to rename than regular window tabs. Help, please.

I cannot consistently show an image preview when I hover over a tab, even though I have that function box checked in my general/settings page.

I recently made an update and now got Firefox 136.

Now I´ve got the problem, that tabs where some sound is playing are getting resized.

There is no option for disable this and I haven´t found the specfic path for the about:config.

Any help would be welcome

Is there a way to hide the top tab bar while I am using the Tree Style Tab option? I love the new option for using the Tree Style Tabs to my left, but it seems redundant to have the tabs on my left while also having them across the top. It clutters my window with too much text and I would love to see a cleaner window with just my bookmarks across the top and the tabs to my left. I can't seem to find a setting for that. Does one exist?

I have used Firefox for years, and especially since the ability to pin tabs was created. After this last update I experienced an issue on one website, which the tab is pinned, that was not present before. After putting things into my shopping cart, I click on the shopping cart and if the original tab is pinned then the shopping cart opens in a new tab. Before this latest update Firefox was smarter than that.

I am recently having problems with Firefox not opening my tabs when I log into my computer. I can get them back by using history but it's fiddly and not all of them appear (and often not the most recent ones.) Can anyone tell me what the problem might be and how to rectify this. I am also having problems with Onedrive which started at the same time. I am not sure if the two things are connected or not.

I've noticed recently after system reboots that Firefox forgets the "Open previous windows and tabs" setting and restarts with only a blank tab. I've confirmed that this setting is ticked prior to the reboot. I know I can restore the session under History but why isn't Firefox remembering this setting and re-opening the windows & tabs like previously?

Running Firefox 135.0.1 and Mac Sequoia 15.3 (but has been happening in recent previous versions of both).
