For several weeks now, whenever I close Firefox and shut down my iMac and open Gmail the next day, Gmail seems to forget which emails I have already read, and it marks many old emails as unread. Deleting the Google cache and cookies helps, but only temporarily. This problem doesn't seem to occur when using a different browser, such as Safari, or when using the built-in MacOS email client. Therefore, I'm thinking it's a buggy interaction between Firefox and Gmail. I didn't used to have this problem, so perhaps it's related to a Firefox update? Anyhow, I'm hoping someone can help. When I type the first letter of a certain site, the full site automatically comes up but the old index page is used (www) not the new index page of the site (without www) so the site never comes up. The site is https://www.zeninthezone.com/ I've cleared cache cookies and history to no avail.

On my computer, I started using a VPN and I accessed a website like Avast.com (clicked OK on their cookie privacy policy) with Mozilla Firefox after forgetting to clear my past cookies and browsing data (from before using the VPN). Could that website or Avast.com (website server) have been able to track/obtain my real IP info or location through my browser's cookies/previous browsing data (from prior, different websites that I accessed)?

Please excuse my carelessness and ignorance. I am new to this. I don't know much about computers and the internet.

I cannot uncheck delete all data and cookies upon close. I cannot keep previous sessions, meaning my research I do restarts because I have to dig out the bookmark or find, once again, the article I was reading.

I am getting very frustrated and when I went to uncheck it, I found I couldn't.

When I use Chrome as my browser, it automatically loads my Gmail account without further sign in. When I use Firefox, I have to log onto Gmail every time and it want two stage authentication, even when I have ticked to option to bypass this. Not the end of thw world but iritating, especially when I have left my phone in another room.

In some websites, a cookies menu opens over the page but not as a popup eg https://www.elexon.co.uk/knowledgebase/about-the-bsc/

In Chrome, I can see the menu and make the relevant cookies choice and then access the site, but in firefox the whole page is effectively greyed out. As it isn't a popup I can't whitelist the site for popups (well I can but it doesn't change anything).

Any ideas how I can make this work without having to use the site in a different browser?

My cookies are being deleted very regularly perhaps two times per week and very often it seems to occur after one the the very frequent updates are installed. I have tested this by refusing an update for several days and the cookies remain, but after i accept, often, they are deleted. I have not changed any settings related to cookies at any time and so it does appear that the updates are the couse. there cookies are very useful and include preferences for websites and identification details and it's incrediibly frustrating to have them erased though no fault of mine

Hi, I have been working on a old project for one of my clients and found an issue. The firefox version i am using is 95.0.1 64bit version. After signing in, inside response headers from the server i am getting

set-cookie MYSESSION=eyJ***** HttpOnly

which is then used on next request i make to the server as Cookie MYSESSION=eyJhb***

But after upgrading my firefox version, although i am able to see the response header sent back from server, but it is not being sent in request header for the next api call.

Also this issue is only for localhost, works fine in production https urls

I would like to know what has changed in new version in terms of handling the response headers, thanks!

I am a newbie using windows10 64bit, and I cannot sign into youtube unless i enable cookies but how do i do that ? everytime I have tried to open youtube google send me this message :

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. I think I'm stuck in a loop somewhere, please help! thanks in advance

I just create a website that is providing the Latest Menu in Malaysia (mlymenu.com). I optimize my website Core web vitals but its still slower in Chrome and faster in other browsers. I also clean cache and everything. Even on other deivces too. I think there is some issue still in chrome. You need to update it

I installed I don't care about cookies it did not fix removing cookie prompts from websites it just broke the sites so I uninstalled the add on but I am still unable to load certain sites for example Eurogamer the prompt comes up dissapears and then I cannot scroll or interact with the site. I am now also having issues transacting on certain sites as well leading to a white screen I just want to role back to my previous settings so I can continue to use Firefox.

I manually delete cookies at the end of the day, and after the latest update it shows 13.0kb left after deleting. I have no exceptions or any other setting other than to delete ALL cookies. I can not find what this 13.0kb is and why is it still there after deletion? Windows 10.

I have tried to make sure cookies are enabled at BigFish.com website but I have probably made things worse or did it wrong. Both problems follow me around and please understand I have also been in contact with BigFish techs but I am not getting far in any solution.

I was told to clear the browser cache which I have done both for Firefox and BigFish but I can detect no difference at all. I am still told at the BF website that cookies are needed in order for me to enter.

I am at my wits' end with this and at my age of 83 I feel like I am rushing on that downhill slide much more quickly due to this problem. I feel that I have made some error in my wildly clicking around but I don't always understand the terminology exactly.

If anyone knows how to explain this to me in perhaps easy steps I would be most appreciative.
