PLEASE PLEASE make it the way it was before. I use 'ctrl-tab' and 'ctrl-shift-tab' so much and I loved it the way it was before. It was simple, bloat-free, it worked, did exactly what I wanted.

Now, it pops up some animation where it shows me the tabs and what's in them (and that only works when you first press 'ctrl-tab' btw. with 'ctrl-shift-tab' it doesn't work anymore, unless you first do 'ctrl-tab'.) And it's also slow (way slower than the old way at least). And also it doesn't just go through the tabs in the order that they're in up there.

It's such an important feature to me that I will switch to another browser if this doesn't change back and I really don't want that. PLEASE change it back I love firefox ;;(

I have an extension called "Undo Close Tab" installed, it works well since one day the icon in the toolbar changes.

The first idea is the author changes the icon and Firefox automatically upgrade this extesion.

But no.

After some test I think Firefox seems to cache the wrong icon at some place.

I use Browser Toolbox to debug this element and find the icon data is inline, not refer to the resource inside the extension.

Also try to remove and reinstall the extension, or disable other extensions, but not helpful.

Even I modify the icon file name in manifest.json then repack the extionsion, install it with Firefox debugger, the icon on the toolbar is still unchanged.

I guess a refresh to Firefox may fix it but I don't want to do that because all the preferences will lost.

So is there a icon cache in Firefox? Is there another way to fix this?

According to the official Firefox procedure shown online, in order to remove individual cookies, go to Options-Privacy-"Cookies and Site Data", Manage Data. All cookies are listed in that screen. Select the cookie to remove then click on the "Remove" button. After all individual cookies have been selected and 'Removed', finally, click on the "Save Changes" button and exit the screen.

The problem is, NO "Save Changes" button exists on the screen in Firefox 65. And, in fact, when I exit the screen and reboot Firefox - none of my changes to the list of cookies are actually done.

How to I really manage to permanently remove specific cookies ??

Hello, so I was doing something and then it started lagging. I closed Firefox and when I pressed it again it wouldn't start. It updated then it stopped working. I restarted my PC, clicked many times on Firefox logo and it wouldn't start. I got an error message in the top left corner that appeared for a milisecond. I took a video of it with my phone so I could read what was wrote there. It said "XML analysis error:entity undefined. Location:chrome://browser/content/browse Line number 53, column 1. (Sorry if it ain't the exact words, im translating because my Firefox is in french). There was also <windows id-"main-window"> under it. Don't tell me to open Firefox in safe mode, because that doesn't work either. When I hold shift, nothing happens. It doesn't ask me to go to safe mode. How do I fix this? Thanks

locking as a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1250243

I'd like to know if there is a shortcut to toggle the "3-bar" menu button and extension button section of the toolbar. F6 only selects the address bar. Then hitting Tab only moves over to the search bar, and hitting Tab again just toggles through page elements. For instance, in Google Chrome what I am trying to accomplish would be done by hitting Alt and then left-arrow until I've selected the extension button I am looking for (or by hitting F6 and "tabbing" to the right to get to the toolbar buttons). In Mozilla, the only way I find I can access the extension functions or the "3-bar" button is with the mouse.

Accidentally got to “scareware” tab that refuses to close, flashing light, siren and voice insisting my pc should not be shutdown on pain of losing data. Trying to compel calling a “Microsoft Engineer “ at 1-844-387-0777 and or entering user name and password.

I regain control by ending process in program manager (Ctrl-alt-delete) but restarting Firefox brings me back to obnoxious tab again. Norton scan shows pc (running windows 7) is not infected with anything known. Other browser (chrome) works fine.

I recently had to reset my firefox browser, now something I have done before I can't find how to do again. I do not want to have the search result show my entire history of anything involving the word I am searching for, nor do I want to clear my history. I have already gone to about:preferences#search and unchecked provide search suggestions. I assume there is an option in about:config but I cannot find what it is. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Almost a year all versions of Firefox begin to use all available memory (Windows 7, 6 GB) just from start with 5 tabs (Email, Messenger, and some simple websites). Closing tabs never affect memory usage. It seems that Firefox never release memory, only eat more with every next website...

I know the article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-ram And I tried everything from it. The only way to release memory - restart Firefox.

The same problem from another person already marked as closed last year: https://support.mozilla.org/ru/questions/1223605

The best answer: "The more memory is used the better because it means you don't have RAM wasted. Firefox uses RAM to make its processes faster since application data is transferred much faster in RAM." Firefox developers, do you really think so? That eat all available memory for your ONE application is a good strategy?! When I start any other program, Windows begin swapping and swapping, trying to free some space for it...

The screenshot of common memory usage is attached.
