Hello,

I really like using the "Shortcuts" (Top Sites) feature on the Firefox new tab page. However, there is one problem: Firefox automatically adds new shortcuts from recently visited sites.

I would like to keep only the shortcuts I manually pinned, without Firefox suggesting or adding new ones automatically. Currently, if I disable browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.topsites, all shortcuts disappear, and if I leave it enabled, Firefox keeps adding unwanted sites.

Could you please add an option to disable automatic shortcut suggestions while keeping only pinned shortcuts? This would make the feature much more convenient for users who prefer to manage their shortcuts manually.

Recently my browser has not been saving my tabs once I close Firefox. Every time redo the tabs and then close the browser, the next time i open up Firefox, they all disappear. In the Home and Startup settings, the Open previous windows and tabs is checked. I still have the closed tab history but it still doesn't save the tabs after closing the browser down.

Hi, I have a shortcut which comes up with a blank icon. I've tried Google help to use a custom picture, but nothing worked. The complication is that my shortcut does not go to Xerox, it goes to their pension provider who has a different name. The shortcut works fine but it would be nice if I didn't have a blank icon.

need to replace bookmarks on server not merge them, w/bookmarks on locale device

currently when i log in it merges what is on server w/ what i just reworked and getting rid of multiples ... will have to do this again as i clean even more so need ot know how to accomplish exchange not merger

I am do not get sound using audio recorded with akamai player with Fire Fox browser. I tried the same link using Edge browser and the audio works.

I have tried clearing the cache, but still no sound.

How do I resolve this issue using Fire Fox as my default browser? Is there an audio extension that is needed?

I keep asking. I don't want to, but I am going to use another browser that I don't like, that does have the + as I keep hitting the y key to open a new tab. I am not well, cancer has me. My eyes are bad, and I could use some help, Thank you.

As much as I hate ads on YouTube I don't want Firefox to block the ads because if they find out you are blocking ads they will block you from Google and YouTube. I have Google pages and other things on their sites that have been there for years. Plus, I feel like I'm stealing a service by not lets the ads run that pays their bills and the content creators on YouTube. Please tell me where in Firefox I can turn the ads back on.

I have used Mozilla products since Netscape Navigator came out in 1995 I think it was. I went to a local internet provider and brought home a 3.5in Diskette and it loaded Netscape Navigator with my info all filled in for email, Usenet, Webpage publishing and a few Bookmarks to get started. I still use SeaMonkey for my email because it still has email addresses from the 1990's. I have Thunderbird for email on my phone. Anyway, thank you for all your work over the years. I've been using Firefox for a while, and while there are many things I like about it, it has always been a resource hog. In the past I could get around this by just killing Firefox in Windows Resource Manager and restarting, but ever since getting a new computer an upgrading to Windows 11, it's gotten worse. Every couple of days my computer freezes for 10 or more minutes, I'm having to do a hard reboot ever few days, and I'm even bluescreening about twice a month. I'm pretty sure Firefox is the culprit because killing it will usually resolve the issue.

I'm wondering if there is some way to put Firefox in a sandbox so it does not consume nearly all available memory and other computer resources. It is by far the biggest consumer of resources on my system and I do not want to dedicate 4GB+ of memory to an app that is just showing a couple of web pages and playing YouTube videos.

can not resolve repeated problem : "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." Cánt not find "Refresh"

The disabled feature still has a picture in the picture when unchecked. How do I stop picture-in-picture for videos playing in Firefox? Yes, went into settings and unchecked picture in picture, yes, the problem still exists.

When v143 was released something happened to the shortcuts row(s). Regardless of refreshing efforts, rolling back versions, and searching the forums, there's no way to consistently get the shortcuts back. Sometimes they appear with a new browser instance, sometimes they don't. They don't appear with new tabs, and they don't stay when they do appear with a new browser. Grrrr. Please restore the shortcuts!
