I noticed with yahoo finance, and possibly another site or two I do not recall, that firefox becomes unable to open any other URLS and seems to lock up after visiting one or more of my saved favorate/bookmarked Yahoo Finance Urls.

I found a solution that works here...

The solution is not permanent and has to be applied everytime I open firefox and visit a site that causes this problem. It does NOT seem to affect M.S. Edge at all.

Is firefox / mozilla working on a permanent fix for whatever causes this issue?

cannot see eBay "place bid" field using Firefox 111.0.1 with MacOS Monterey 12.6.3. I can see it when I use Safari and Opera. And I can see it using other versions of MacOS on other computers.

My history kinda crashed.

When clicking "History" on left top corner its empty. I know that the data still somewhere exists because after I click Ctrl+H the side bar appears and there is whole history. But I can't reach it traditionally as before. I'm afraid my history can disappear and I want two things:

1 make my history come back to the normal place (the list on left top corner) 2 make a backup history file somewhere

Hey, I'm running Arch Linux (fwiw, KDE). Some websites seem to have a problem displaying some fonts properly (see attached screenshot). Tried anything I could find online, didn't help. Most sites display normal smooth font. Konqueror and Falkon don't seem to have this problem.

Firefox was running fine but few days ago, cannot get Firefox to start. Tried to uninstall, reinstall but didn't work. Tried uninstall, shutdown, reinstall and didn't work. Tried profile manager but it would not start so deleted the profile.ini file. Still won't start. When I look at Task manager, no processes for Firefox are running. Is there something else I should try to get working or should I just not use anymore?

I am an 86 y/o programmer with poor eyesight. I wrote my first program in 1960 and am learning html,javascript,php and sqlite. I frequently want my browser to 'forget' but in 150% enlargement the forget window doesn't fit on my screen and if i scroll down on the page i lose the popup, so i have to back out to windows (10) set my viewing to 100% and do it over. Suggestion: reduce the size of the pop-up and put the 'forget' button on the top. Are all the little icons necessary? I cant change any of them. And is the time frame necessary? i always choose '24 hrs'. IMO you only need a 'really?' pop-up to the forget button push and then wipe it all out. I subscribe to a website called flat.io. It's a site where I can enter music notation and get playback through emulated instruments.

I want to connect my Yamaha MX88 music keyboard directly to flat.io in order to have the site software record my music keyboard keystrokes instead of entering music notes by hand. flat.io tells that you are compatible, but I need to change settings to allow midi.

Even though I have the settings correct in the browser ('Open previous tabs and windows' checked under Startup in the General settings section), Firefox suddenly stopped doing this. I went to help and have tried everything suggested (for example, in this article -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1365225) to no avail. I generally have to have at least a dozen tabs open at a time due to the nature of my work and it is time-consuming and frustrating to have to re-open the every time.

I have tried the 'restore previous session' under the History menu but that is not an option given. So that isn't working for me either. 'Recently closed tabs' is an option but is greyed out / doesn't work.

It is possible that this is a result of a recent update as Firefox has been almost daily been asking me to update. But I do not know how to go 'back' to last version if that is the case ... or how to turn off the annoying update messages.

So what is going on?

This has become really annoying: when I go to settings -files and application it is locked to "Downloads" Folder. I want them to go to desktop and then decide what folder I want to put them in (if at all)!

Now that Microsoft has sunsetted IE, datascraping is not straight forward. I like firefox browser and would like to use it to datascrape from websites into Excel via VBA. Does Selenium work? Any other solutions?

Up until sometimes before Urdu language words were properly displaying in my Firefox browser but no more. They now appear as individual characters instead of properly formed word. please help me to see the Urdu words as before.

Firstly, when I open a second Firefox browser window, it doesn't show any pinned tabs, and secondly, if I close the window without the pinned tabs last and then reopen Firefox, the pinned tabs are gone.

That's very annoying. Do you have a solution for this? Am I making mistakes in the settings?
