The search bar is displayed on the home page. And you can even put a cursor in it. However, as soon as you start typing something, the cursor shuffles into the address bar and the text is entered there!

This is absolutely schizoid behavior! The worst UI is simply impossible to imagine!

YES, I KNOW I CAN USE THE ADDRESS BAR AS A SEARCH BUT I DON'T WANT!

Why didn't you give users any choice? Don't you care about your own users? This is absurdly allogical behavior of the interface! What fool could have thought of such a thing ?!

Besides the fact that it is corny inconvenient, there is another extremely important disadvantage. Users suffering from cataracts put a dark theme for a reason - they otherwise see badly.

So what happens when the user has a dark theme and the start page displays a huge whitelist at the top of the screen as they enter text, what do you think? I can tell you - a user with poor eyesight is blinded for a second.

Guys, when will you start thinking before changing the browser for the worse? Seriously, Firefox has lost its entire user base over the past few years. This is very disappointing.

Prior to updating, when I typed a question from the Firefox homepage in the search box in the middle of the page, my search parameters would appear there where it would be easy to see. Now, every time I type anything in a search box, it jumps to the address bar, causing me to have to shift my line of sight to the top left of my screen rather than the center of the screen. Not to mention the text on the address bar is several orders of magnitude smaller than the test on the web pages search bar. So how to I shut this behavior down? If I click in a search box I expect my text to appear in that search box, NOT in the address bar.

Downloaded the new version, how do I uninstall it? It is garbage. There are big spaces between the tabs and the tool bars, the favourites are so far apart that my menu is 3 pages long, and the themes were designed by a 3 year old girl with a fetish for unicorns. The only people that will use this are uneducated millenial inbreds, who spend the entire day taking selfies and looking in a mirror. It makes windows 10 look professional!! How do I roll it back? I suppose there is always google spyware - chrome as they call it.

Hey guys, just wondering if there's a toolbar workflow similar to Chrome and Edge where we can jump between profiles. I believe there is `about:profiles` though that requires a bookmark and a few additional clicks to jump between profiles.

Perhaps the profile icon on the toolbar can have an item that shows all available profiles?

How do I get rid of this crap? I either select a crappy system theme and everything turns a blinding white, or go back to the theme I usually use where everything suddenly is dark. How do I remove darkmode while retaining my favorite theme? I don't want dark mode and I certainly do not want to be blinded either. There must be a useless setting added to the about:config that I can disable.

Thank you.

For starters, I want to type my search in the larger, lower search bar, but more often than not, what I'm typing shows up in the smaller search bar that is higher up on the page and not on the bar where I'm typing. That is annoying.

But even more annoying: whenever I start to type what I want to look for, a drop-down menu appears with lots of suggestions for me, and those suggestions hide the lower search bar. As soon as I type one letter, the drop-down menu appears with lots of guesses about what I want. I don't want suggestions cluttering up my page ~~ I just want to type without all of that clutter. I'd leave an added image, but it won't let me take a screen shot of what I'm talking about.

Is there any way for me to disable the drop-down menu with suggestions? I HATE IT! Just let me type what I want to find!

I like to use the slider for scrolling though long articles and back. But many times I can't find the slider, it stays invisible until I hit it by accident. This is crazy, why can the slider in the scrollbar not be visible all the time? there is no option to deactivate the stupid rule that hides it. Please somebody an idea for a workaround or so. Different themes don't change that uncontrollable hiding behaviour that happens in Firefox, but also thunderbird Thank for helping me Ferdinand

In the old firefox, I had the opportunity to share websites and f. e. send them from my laptop to my stationary computer. I think there were three dots ... next to the url. But that is gone. I used that a lot for websites that I needed to print out (my laptop isn't connected to the printer's vpn).

What now? I don't think I can use pocket for that, since that saves all the websites, I just need to send them once.

With the upgrade to FF 89, the font used to display text on the browser itself (not the webpages it displays) has changed to be a thinner and possibly smaller font. My eyes do not like this!

I need to be able to either make it bold, or make it larger, or possibly both. I have tried changing the font in the settings page, but that seems to only apply to webpages, which is not what i need.

I'm running win 10 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop and Firefox v.89.

Thank you for any suggestions.
