I mistakenly exited the left side bookmark sidebar. I would like to return it to the default setting, but have not been able to find instructions to do so or find a way to do it through the given menus.

hi my email: [email removed from public] i transfered firfox open tabs( i have android phone) from my phone to pc firefox 3 months ago. i collected them a long time and saved them in a folder with name mobile bookmark in my pc and then i cleaned all firefox data on my phone to speed up it . today i referred to see the bookmarks in my pc, the folder - mobile bookmark- was there but was empty. i searched net and read some suggestion as yours : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update but i can not see my bookmark . how can i do now? do you have any suggestion?

Having tried, it does not seem possible for me to install/upload/migrate bookmarks I have stored on Firefox on an old computer, to my new computer.

I am experimenting with changing from Microsoft Edge to Firefox. However, a couple of bookmarks that have favicons in Microsoft Edge do not appear to work in Firefox. Attached is a .gif showing me trying to add https://app.powerbi.com to the bookmark bar. You can see that there is an icon on the tab, along with an icon that appears when trying to drag to the bookmark bar. However, when it gets to the bookmark bar, it goes back to the default icon and does not show the actual favicon. The same thing happens when trying to add https://vscode.dev. However, both of those sites have favicon images in the bookmark bar on Microsoft Edge.

Any ideas on how to get the favicon to appear would be greatly appreciated. I understand that it may seem a pretty trivial thing, but I do a lot of screen recordings for my work, and want all of the icons on the bar to appear.

I'm seeing multiple complaints, concerns, questions about bookmarks and favorites. I too do not see the Favorites/Bookmarks that use to be at the top of the window for Foxfire. I have looked all over for a setting to put this back on the main page and have found none. Bookmarks/Favorites should be part of the main window and easily accessible. It was a very poor choice to take it away. The "Other Bookmarks" does not come close to what I had in the bookmarks previously and how I had it organized. I will use another browser because this is so frustrating. I will check back from time to time to see when Mozilla/Foxfire is back to the way it was previously.

Hello to the support team of Mozilla, I had a computer that cannot be reopened due to a virus and Malware. However, I have a bookmarks setting with Firefox that has not been imported. I did not have an account (or at least that I can remember) with Firefox. I just set up one today. I had written that I had an account under the username jackhsiao, but I was not able to log in.

I would like to know if I can import my bookmarks that were on the browser of my computer that I can no longer access.

I am working in Mac OS 13.2 and just reinstalled Firefox after my OS has to be wiped and restored due to a OS file being corrupted.

When I sign back into Firefox my bookmarks did not re-sync. I followed the “profile / manage bookmarks / restore” instruction, where reportedly Firefox keeps the last 15 back-ups, but I am only getting seeing back-up from the day I reinstalled the browser, so it’s empty.

How do I access my bookmark back ups from a few days ago?

Worst case, I have a time capsule back up. What is the file path to find a file to import Firefox bookmarks?

I wish to have 2 toolbars with all my shortcuts on as i use only FAVICONS and have ran out of room, and a lot of sites i only remember to use if i see the FAVICON

is this possible - im ascustomed to about:config etc..

The bookmarks are constantly changing to where I can no longer use them. I'll bookmark them to a folder one day and the next day their URL and icon has changed and goes to a totally different site. What's happened? Using Foxfire browser

I loaded firefox 108.0.1 (64-bit) on my new computer with windows 11 Home. I imported my old bookmarks from my old computer and they seem to to work OK. But when I add new a bookmark to one of my old folders that I imported the bookmark does not show up when I use the icon “Show your Bookmarks”. If I go to “Manage Bookmarks” and go to the file the bookmark it is there.

Every time I try and delete bookmarks my firefox locks up. I have 3,500 bookmarks I need to delete and can't. If I can't delete them I will just delete firefox and use chrome

Can we move sidebar to bottom? I am interested in using a Find and Replace addon and have it snap to the bottom and appear where the vanilla Ctrl+F find bar appears. I know there is no GUI option to do this as described in (https://mzl.la/3vUbsmq) which only offers left/right but could there be a way to do this with userchrome css? I would have no idea where to begin in coding such a thing.

Hi, I gues I did not have a firefox profile as I had a user profile in the company. my laptoü crashed suddenly and all bookmarks and passwords are lost. True? I cannot restore them via the company user account without having a firefox profile - right? Or is there any other backup next to the profile which can be accessed from another computer? Firefox is not saving bookmarks and their respective folders, even though the 'Show Bookmarks Toolbar' option is enabled. The bookmarks seem to disappear after restarting the browser. What could be causing this issue and how can it be resolved?

Hello, I had to reinstall MacOS. When I did, I lost my bookmarks on Firefox. When I opened the browser, a pop-up window asked if to import my bookmarks. Then I noticed the imported bookmarks were an old version from another browser. Is there a way to find my Firefox bookmarks and import those? Thanks!

I am trying to put a shortcut to a web site on the Desktop. Using the the padlock on Firefox 109.0(64 bit) puts it in a sticky note on Desktop instead of a shortcut on the Desktop.

I am running running on Fedora 37 KDE where this does not work.

Using Fedora 37 Workstation (GNOME), the shortcut is created and works.

How do I get the shortcut to work on Fedora 37 KDE?
