Hi!

I've added a new device and am trying to synch it (my new laptop). My account shows everything synched (history, bookmarks, log-ins). However, none of my previous history is showing up. None of my old bookmarks are visible.

Either something didn't work right with synching, or (much worse) all of my Firefox bookmarks, history, and log-ins have been lost. I have no way of knowing what the problem is, since everything shows as being correctly synched on my laptop when I view my Firefox account.

Please advise.

i change the windows and install new firefox and signin firefox to restore my all bookmarks but noting happend i had alot of book marks [essentional] but not happend . please help me . thanks alot .

Today i just restored my computer and my FF sync account got blocked at the login because (many tries) For the login i use my corporative email, to my bad luck just in time our net admin at my work was running a maintaince and the Firefox sync sent me (to my email for confirm it was me trying to login) never got delivered and lost.

I know all my account data (email and Password to login in FirefoxSync.)

What i can do to unlock it? i don't want start a new account, there's a lot of bookmarks and logins in my account.

After hooking up four devices to sync through Firefox, I ended up with a mess and a lot of irritation which I have not recovered from. That was six months ago. What I failed to understand is that there is no control of the direction of sync. I presumed that all would sync from my primary account computer. Wrong and truly a disaster because I had spent hours organizing thousands of bookmarks. An old computer with an old bookmarks setup (very disorganized) added its confused mess back into my attempt on the new computer to finally get organized. I still have not sorted through most of the mess.

So how in the hell does Sync actually and exactly work? Is there any directional flow? Or does it just mash the shared stuff together. How can I delete any bookmark file Sync has at Firefox server with exact knowledge of what I am doing? Why is this stuff so obscure? I exactly want to know how to ensure that Sync has no cache of obsolete material and exactly, if possible, to direct the flow....should I use only share a tab? one at a time?

Hello, I install new linux distro on my laptop, and sing in my firefox account. But my bookmark not sync and I not show them in my firefox. My bookmark still show in my firefox android device.

I recently did a clean install of Window's on my computer. I have a Firefox account and am signed into sync, but I don't know how to get my add-ons and settings back. When I go to "Manage Your Extensions" I see all of them there, but I don't know how to make it so that their icons are viewable in my Toolbar where I can click and use them. What few add-ons I am able to get to show up in the Toolbar I got by either going directly to the add-ons website and installing from there, or by uninstalling them via the add-ons Manager page and then reinstalling. Which in my opinion defeats the whole point of having a Firefox account and sync activated.

Of critical importance is my need to get back the information that I had stored in Notes by Firefox. I was finally able to get the add-on to show up in the Toolbar buy following the above mentioned steps, however I am unable to sign in to Sync. Below I have listed each of the step I take along with attaching screenshots. 1) Click on Sign in to Sync - This opens a new Firefox browser window that prompts me to enter my email to continue to Notes. 2) I enter my email and click the blue Continue button. 3) I enter my password and click the blue Sign in button. 4) I enter my Two Factor Authentication. 5) The browser window that opened when I clicked Sign in to Sync closes and I'm back where I was when I started the Sync process, but now instead of showing Sign in to Sync Notes shows Reconnect to Sync with a warning triangle on the left side. 6) I Click to Reconnect to Sync and got through steps 2 - 5 but Notes still shows the warning triangle with the Reconnect to Sync message.

At no point in this process do I get any error message or invalid credentials prompt.

Please help!

Hi, I've tried finding the solution online but I can't. My old computer broke a while ago but all my data on Sync was backup up, and I've been accessing it from my Android phone and other laptops just fine. I just got a new laptop and wanted to sign into Sync to get all my data on here. However, even after syncing, nothing is showing up (bookmarks, saved passwords, etc.). It's all still on my phone though, under "Desktop Bookmarks".

Also my phone is currently disconnected from my Sync account because I changed the password to it and haven't logged back in yet. I'm scared that now if I log back in, I will lose everything because it will Sync and take the new data from this computer, which is nothing.

I want to have two Firefox accounts. One for Work and one for home. On my account I was using one of my home email accounts as a primary and another home email as a secondary. I added my work email address and and made it the primary and removed my home address that was the original primary for this account. Can I now start a new account with that home email or will it not be available to use since it was once a primary for the other account?

Please help me fix this. I had reset my windows and after I installed and signed in to my firefox account. The data from my previous sessions like bookmarks, logins and passwords are not synced with my account. Those were very crucial for my work. Please Please help me out asap.

 I recently re-downloaded Firefox to my computer last month
 And I entered my information 

My saved information was not shown on the browser Is there any solution?.

I have a desktop that I use for personal use and a laptop that I will be using for school use. I have organized all my bookmarks just the way I like them for when I'm relaxing, but if I'm going to primarily doing schoolwork on this laptop, I would like to organize it differently. I have a bunch of bookmarks that are ever changing so I would like to continue to sync them, but doing so would also sync how I've laid them out.

I'm thinking I would like it to even be as simple as displaying a folder laid out like these bookmarks are (see image) but designate that bookmark folder differently for each device. I expect that would require something 3rd party, but I'm not exactly sure to what extent you can manipulate Firefox. I think plugins affect the browser instead of just the site like extensions, but I'm not sure.

I was transferring my data from an older version of Firefox to the new version and always have enabled Firefox sync.

While setting up the new browser, I uninstalled an extension that had my settings from the new browser and it was automatically uninstalled from the older browser too.

Since I use Firefox sync, I want to know if it's possible to restore a restore the extension data from a specific time (before I deleted it). Trying to sync only restores it after the extension was deleted.

I've got multiple clients set up to sync via FF sync. Some are older, some are newer.

However, looking at the newest client (set up ~2 weeks ago), I noticed something: It only shows a browser history up to approx. one year in the past. I've checked other clients. My oldes client goes back to ~2016, which is 4 years form now. I know my oldes client is older than 2016, so there has to be more.

Does FF Sync skip older entries? IMHO I'd have to see the exact same history on my older client than on my newer client. That is not the case. Any ideas?

Hello! Few minutes ago my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5479) crashed. That`s not a FFs fault. But after that all my sessions, bookmarks and (a lot of) tabs disappeared. Btw in search field I see suggestions from old profile, which I also once lost. How can I get access to those tabs? My current device name like tim-dell-FF-nigtly. Phantom device name is tim-manjaro-dell, but I even can`t see it in devices list. (Sorry for my English)

I had reset my computer. I had also forgot my password of firefox account, so i had reset my password. After that all my data is lost. How do i retrieve my data back.
