I go on the https://www.medicare.gov website to look at Medicare claims. I get an email from them when there are new summary notices and I click on the link to view them. That brings me to the login page and after I log in I get a page that lists summary notices starting with the most recent. For each notice, there are three links you can click: download, print, and open. I've always clicked "open", which has always brought up the summary I chose, I think in a new tab or window, but I'm really not sure, it's been a while.

This time when I clicked on "open" for the first summary notice, it stayed in the same tab and under the title listing the particular notice I got the following:

" Firefox Can’t Open This Page

To protect your security, api.medicare.gov will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.

So I went back to the original list, right clicked "open" and clicked to open in a new tab and got the same error. As I was writing this just now I noticed that the error message says you need to open it in a new window, so I just tried that instead of a new tab, but I still got the same error message.

Interestingly, I thought I'd check clicking "download" just to make sure I could get my new notices. That opened a new tab and the notice came up!! Now I'm sitting here trying to remember if I used to click "open" or "download" and feeling like this computer drives me crazier and crazier every day I use it!

I am submitting this anyway for two reasons. First of all, if I'm confused other people are probably also confused. Secondly, I want to know if there's anything wrong on my end that I should be fixing or if this is a problem on Medicare's end. Obviously I want to let them know if it's their problem so that it can be fixed.

I just got a notice about a Firefox update but I haven't installed it yet and I haven't tried this in any other browser (I really hate using Chrome, especially for something as private as Medicare, but if that will help you please let me know and I can try it there).

One other thing that may or may not be relevant. I've had my Social Security and Medicare accounts for many years. Recently I received a notice from Social Security that they're upgrading to a more secure login system (sorry I've forgotten exactly what they call it) and said that if you're using an older account you have to create a new login with their new site and it would work across your federal government accounts. I did that but Medicare used my old login information and it worked. I don't know if that would be causing this problem, I don't think they've terminated the old system altogether just yet but I'm not sure. This probably doesn't make a difference but I thought I should mention it just in case.

I am having a problem when I try to click on "gameday" page on the MLB>COM web site. The gamday page will not load. I do not have the same problem if I use "Microsoft Edge"

When I pause a video (any site) and go to another tab / stay on the site, after a seemingly random amount of time the video starts playing again.

I'm using latest Firefox on Ubuntu 22.04 (snap).

I've tried (didn't work):

• Disabling media hardware controls through about:config
• Disabling autoplay through about:config

been getting a printing error the last couple days this message "error occurred while printing". Printer then puts out partial page(s) then stops printing. been trying to print copies of tax forms ( 11 pages)?? page that print shows Firefox in top left corner of page. Today same problem with a four page email print job.

Once updated Firefox all old tabs didn't open ( and it was not possible to restore them anymore). So I'd like to restore all old tabs of yesterday session. Really important for my work. Looking forward to hearing from you asap. Regards, Orlando.

I have 3 laptops all running windows 10 or 11. These all share a docking station giving access to an extended display, keyboard etc. All laptops run fine with the docking station except for one issue with the newest laptop... The screen resolution, only on firefox on the one laptop, (everything else is fine) is completly out of whack. I have tried the zoom function but no luck. I have trawled the internet but all the solutions are from 10+ years ago and refer to different versions of firefox and windows. I am not a computer geek so please dumb down any advice.

my chatgpt used to work fine but it doesn't anymore since a while already. I cleared the cache, tried new tabs, logged out and back in etc... Still not working. Working fine on chrome.

response to jonzn4SUSE, because on my desk top, it won't install, because my computer chip is too old, when I get to the point of clicking on finish, when clicking on finish, it disappears, supposedly this chip is a better chip than the one I need to install it, but it's older than the one which is the minimum needed to do the install, even took it to the repair shop, I had read that sometimes if an older version of waterfox is on a computer it won't install, by the time I got it back from the shop everything with waterfox was gone, including bookmarks etc., none it was saved, some of the things I could import from my other browsers, one thing I don't like about waterfox is there isn't any way to export those things to other browsers, even when going to firefox or any other browsers, when clicking on import from other browsers, waterfox isn't on the list, also on my laptop, has an intel chip, maybe older than the one on desk top, when 1st installed it, it worked, the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't open, don't use lap top very often, usually only when desk top is in the shop on desk top, even tried to install it in safe mode, after I got it back from the repair shop, is when I found out about the chip being too old Operating System       Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU       AMD Phenom II X4 955          Deneb 45nm Technology RAM       16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard       Gigabyte Technology Co. I just bought a new laptop and downloaded Firefox as I have used it for years. Although I imported my passwords and they are correct it will not log in to sites I need for work. It isn't telling me I have the wrong pw or id, it just does nothing.

I have updated windows, I have uninstalled and reinstalled....I don't know what else to do...any suggestions?

Firefox often display messages at the lower right corners - only from selected sites.

It drives my crazy - because I have to click on each and ervy one.

How can I select the sites which are displayed or can I shut them off all together ?!?

Please advise !

searching from URL address bar no longer works. Opens search page (start page) instead of results, adding a (unnecessary) step to searching and causing me to have to re-enter my search term. the 2024 trend across the tech industry seems to add unnecessary steps for previously single-step convenient/efficient processes.

I've been noticing that when I click History > Clear Recent history, after clicking and going back to History, it hasn't removed everything. I have Firefox on my Android phone which is set to clear history upon close. For for unknown reasons, its leaving sites from both desktop and phone apps after clearing.

I'm running Firefox v 115.9.1esr on my Mac.

Any ideas?

I have about 99 entries saved at the present time in the Firefox Passwords Manager.

I would love to store these in different folders if possible--bill pay, medical, social networking, for instance.

Is such as feature available?

I thought of getting a free password manager such as proton and move most of the password entries into it, leaving the most important ones under the Firefox Passwords Manager.

Proton asks for permission to access all my websites. I understand that this may be necessary in order to save passwords. However, this makes me nervous. If I give this permission, will they be able to access my financial data when I access my brokerage? Will ad blockers be able to access my financial data?

Accidentally closed browser with many multiple tabs open. Tried to restore history but option was grayed out. Tried several times but was not able to get back to the original browsing window with the multiple open tabs.

Would really appreciate help on this, if possible, as the many multiple tabs contained family history research that will be difficult to impossible to duplicate.
