Hi

Some months ago I added a 32" samsung usb screen to my PC, my operating system is windows 7, This maybe coincidental and not at fault. Since adding the screen my Firefox browser crashes, what happens is the screen starts flashing and most of the display disapears you can click on some buttons if displayed or you know where they are but the only way to stop it is to close and reopen the browser, it seems to happen more frequently in a browsing session once its happend once, sometimes it dosn't happen. It seems to be triggered by the mouse scrolling wheel. I have removed and reloaded Firefox but still the same, when reloading it recognises the previous instalation and recalls some previous settings, I don't seem to be able to stop this happening. Lastly the fault does not occur on any other browser. Firefox is my default and prefered browser and I would like to cure this if possible, I have run virus scans etc and dont appear to have any contamination issues.

Any advise gratefully recieved

Many thanks Steve Hull

Hi there,

Firefox has started crashing anytime I try to playback media with my Focusrite interface selected for playback. This issue has been ongoing for a few months. Any page like youtube, with video or media embedded causes a crash.

For reference, I'm using a Focusrite Red8pre on a Macbook Pro. The error does not occur when using the laptops speakers for playback.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Cheers, -Harry

If I start opening a hundreds-megabyte PDF, or a JS-heavy website, or a server just do not respond at all, I expect that when I'll press "Stop" button browser would... emm... stop: stop trying to render the rest of the page, stop trying to establish the connection... But notning happens. I don't see any reactions to Stop button. The only way to stop the download is to close the tab (I'm not sure, I hope it stops). By the way, it is especially "nice" when the program closes together with the closing of the last (as suddenly will be realized later) tab.

So, there is the "Stop/Reload" button. Does it do something like stop something? Or it is purely decorative/irritative? Or I just press it wrong way?

I downloaded this Firefox two days ago, worked fine until today It took 5 minutes to get to this point. I had Firefox before but got slow, got no help, left for Edge. I'm sick of Microsoft cramming crap down my throat, would really like to stay with Firefox, but not at this speed.

On a substantial portion of the pages I try to load I get the "The connection has timed out" page. Sometimes as many as 30% or more of the pages I try to load. I can't say this happens all the time, but I've noticed in a lot of cases there is no activity in that bottom status line about a site being contacted or some google ad page is loading or whatever Just nothing at all

I suspect my ISP (verizon DSL) has been restricting my bandwidth -- the situation wasn't this bad a few years ago When I called to ask about it, the call center agent said that I had signed up for a slow connection -- the only thing I signed up for was DSL -- and there was nothing she could do about it

I check www.dailylocal.com for old hometown news, but it's been timing out every time for a couple weeks I'm pretty sure that they're not a first-class operation, but I'm also wondering if Verizon could be keeping a blacklist of sites since some of these sites keep timing out while others sail through

I'm not at all asseting Fireforx is an issue The sites won't load with Edge either But I trust Firefox folks more than most others Any info you can provide, I'd appreciate I'd love to know how I can monitor real time the bandwidth Verizon is providing me

Thanks

When I post links from Twitter, Instagram and Imgbb.com to a discussion forum that I belong to, the images are blocked when I am using Firefox for Windows. This is a very recent problem (just the past week or so). I have no problem seeing the images using Firefox for Android on my phone or Microsoft Edge.

I recall there being an update a week or so ago, so I am wondering if it has something to do with that. Did it change one of my settings?

Thank you,

Jodi
