Somehow you have stopped my access to my bank online - PNCBANK. When I try to sign on, I get a message saying try another browser. This has been happening now for about 6 days or so. Previously it worked just fine.

Please continue here: [/questions/1404519]
Hi

I have a sandbox iframe which is hosted by various websites. Lets assume that this iframe is loaded like this: <script src="https://example.com/wie.js"></script> I have already added 'allow-scripts allow-forms allow-modals allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox allow-storage-access-by-user-activation' at sandbox. I also use document.requestStorageAccess() from inside the iframe and I set event listeners for the storage like this: window.addEventListener('storage', onStorageFunc, false);. From the iframe a popup window is presented when user clicks a specific button and the popup opens at lets say at this url "https://paypal.com". After user navigation on popup, paypal at the end of the flow redirects user to this url "https://example.com/success". At this point when user is navigated to /success I add some data to local storage which I expect to trigger the storage event listener and the onStorageFunc to run. This doesn't happen, while in other browsers it works as expected. Since both popup and iframe are under the same url (https://example.com) and I have used requestStorageAccess, I would expect this to work normally. Can you please help me to find out what is going wrong here? In the past I had the same problem but it was fixed when I added 'requestStorageAccess' and 'allow-storage-access-by-user-activation'. Now I can see it happening again.

I am using Firefox 87 with windows 10. Autofill passwords has always worked, suddenly it no long fills in the password. I have all the correct checks for autofill logon and autofill password, and for FF to ass for both of them on a new site. the information is properly listed in the program list.

I have tried everything i could think of , went to about;config made sure the settings were correct, asked help support page and forums. tried everything tried tried everything what was suggested to solve issue, BUT autofill password still does not work, i have thought of using another program manager, but not sure if that is a good idea thank you very much I sure could use some help with this............ Only other thing i can think is resetting FF but still not sure that would work either. Allen Millner allen-tina@comcast.net

Hello, I would like to log out remotely from the Firefox browser that is installed on another device because it automatically logs in to all websites that I have visited frequently. Among other things, it is a discord where I value privacy very much and I do not want any person using the laptop (because there is no password and the device is also used by other people in the family) to have access to the account. First of all, I want to log out of the browser (i.e. simply log in again to just protect my data). This need came to me because the website (I closed the discord and I am 100% sure of it and it shows me that it is open all the time). I apologize in advance for the spelling because I translated myself with a translator because I do not know English very well.

This is said about master password: Important: After you have defined and set your primary password, you will be prompted to enter it once for each Firefox session, when Firefox needs access to your stored passwords. This also applies if you want to add, remove or show a password.

I think that "when Firefox needs access.." should be changed to "regardless if Firefox needs it or not".

It would be much better if the master password promt was delayed until the first time it was needed.

The strict protection mode in Firefox has been really great for me so far. My understanding is that it creates a separate "cookie jar" for each website. Knowing this, I was wondering if Facebook container is still needed to stop Facebook tracking. I never visit the Facebook website and I don't have a Facebook account. I also use Ublock and Privacy badger, if that makes a difference.

On 84.0.2 on OSx.

Firefox will offer to save usernames and passwords, but then does not remember them in the future. Attempting to import existing data from another browser into Lockwise prompts a request to set a primary password first. Attempting to set a primary password (which is currently not set), yields the error message "Unable to change primary password."

I deleted all my information, data and the Firefox Browser app last year, but my passwords were still leaked. Some passwords I had already changed since the last data breach.

Does anyone know why or how this happened? Is there a way to contact Firefox to delete all of my information permanently from their system to prevent this from happening again?

Moin, I activated the HTTPS-only mode as I used the "https everywhere" plugin so far.

But, in a very special network segment for radio amateurs, the 44-network (ampr.org) encryption is not allowed. So is there a way to configure the HTTPS-only mode in a way to say ".... but not for 44.0.0.0/8?

i prefer one configuration than constantly clicking the "continue to http site" button for the next few years.

Thanks in advanced

I downloaded Scribus, an open source free page layout design application from https://www.scribus.net/

link text

I can't open this application because I get a message that says: "'Scribus.app' can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.

I searched the Mac App Store and it does not have Scribus. I can't afford to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud and I need to be able to create page layout designs, which Scribus can do.

How can I verify that https://www.scribus.net/ is a secure application site? How can I open the application if it is a secure link?

Thanks, Shelley

I'm a brand-new Firefox user, just trying to import or recreate my login data from Chrome. Every time I've clicked "Import" from Lockwise and checked the appropriate boxes, I get a dialog box telling me that the import was successful... but Lockwise still tells me "No logins found." I do know that importation of some kind is happening because my bookmarks imported just fine. Prompts to save my logins still appear, but passwords do not get saved, as evidenced by the "No logins found" message where a list of my saved logins should be. When I attempt to create a login manually, I get a dialog box like the one used to create a Primary Password, except it looks more like a system dialog box, something from Windows rather than from Firefox (image 1.1). I've tried entering all the passwords I can think of into this dialog box--my OS password, my Firefox password, the password I'm trying to save, the password I would choose for my Primary Password if I had one--only for another box to pop up stating "Unable to change password" (image 1.2). Upon closing this box, a red banner appears stating that there was an error while trying to save the password.

One of the times I was trying to use Lockwise, a bar appeared at the top of the screen stating that I needed to use my Primary Password--which I didn't have and still don't--to access my logins. I can't remember what I did because I've tried several things, but if I figure out how to recreate that I'll update this post. I attempted to create a Primary Password from my Options menu by checking the box next to "Use a Primary Password." Even though it clearly recognizes that I don't have a Primary Password set, I still get an "Unable to change primary password" notice (image 2). I've tried resetting it, but to no avail. I have also followed the advice of all the relevant articles I could find (e.g., the help article on what to do if your passwords aren't saving), but nothing so far has fixed the issue.

Lastly--it seems like I'm getting the system-dialog-looking box about every hour or so, always twice in a row: I'll click "cancel," and then it will show up again. I also can't seem to log out of my Firefox account, as that same dialog box appears and prevents me from doing so.

What is going on here? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

How do I separate search from address? I do *NOT* want Google or any other search engine to have every web address (URL) that I enter. When I search, that's one thing. Directly entering a URL is completely different. Firefox automatically updated to the latest: 89.0 (64-bit). Now the Firefox Home page redirects everything I enter in the search box to the address bar! This is a problem! This is one reason I don't use Chrome. How do I configure Firefox to stop doing this?
