I can't open Firefox. I keep getting the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.". I can't find it to close. I tried uninstalling it, but I keep circling back to the same message. I tried refreshing it and again same message. I un installled Surfshark VPN, I ran Windows Defender antivirus. I am now out of ideas. I do have two profiles, but the message about deleting them is scary. I don't want to do anything until I understand what I am doing.

Windows 11; all updates are installed, Dell computer purchased in October, with AMD processor.

After most recent Windows 11 and Firefox updates, Firefox will not open on my PC. I thought I had managed to Refresh it today Troubleshooting Mode - got a "Success" message - but that message was overlaid with a box that wanted me to agree to terms and conditions, etc. and when I clicked the Continue button, nothing happened. So I had to close what little of Firefox was on my screen; got the Not Responding message, then the Close or Wait message (waiting is useless), so I hit Close and the error was again reported to Windows (big whoop). Should I uninstall Firefox and start over???? I have no clue how to save all my bookmarks and associated passwords.

Cannot open my Firefox browser. The icon displays in my startup tray but only shows a small icon temporarily when I click on it; the browser does not open, Nothing I do will change that,

Nachdem ich Mozilla VPN heruntergeladen und installiert hatte, stürzte mein Firefox Browser regelmäßig beim Start ab, so das ich Mozilla VPN wieder deinstallieren musste um überhaupt wieder in Firefox zu gelangen ?????

Firefox browser does not open when I click on the short cup. Instead it opens 2 small windows, one is a website I visited previously and the other is Firefox settings. Why is this happening? I have Windows 10 on my computer but that should not have anything to do with the Firefox browser or search engine not opening. When it opened the small screen that only showed Firefox settings I clicked it to open in full screen and now there is no option to make the screen smaller or exit the Mozilla support page. And, now with this full screen I can't even do a screen shot to show you what I am talking about. Does anybody know what is going on with this?

Best topic is covered by all of the options, unfortunately! If I have done anything incorrectly it was done thru lack of tech savvy for which I apologize for. I have to go take care of the horses now, thank you for any help you may have.

I get the error msg. "Firefox is already running. Would You like to exit Firefox? Yes or No"

I enter Yes and Firefox starts normally. This usually happens after a Firefox update or sometimes when I exit Firefox normally. I use Windows 10 if that makes a difference.

I keep getting the Firefox download page instead of the Firefox browser on my Windows 11 computer, even though I downloaded it several times after it was accidentally knocked off by some other program. How can I get it back to the Firefox browser?

Recent update from MSFT (?) anyhow, suddently Firefox has crashed and can no longer access - can no longer uninstall and reinstall. Simply does not work & I am hoping to be able to correct this so all my various bookmarks, passwords, etc are not suddenly gone

My iMac automatically updated to the latest version of Firefox and now Firefox won't open at all. I keep getting an error message about installing a helper tool. I tried both installing the Helper Tool and canceling (see attached image) with no success. Please advise.

How can I resolve the failure to open because it can't find the XPCOM. I downloaded a new copy but the computer insists on using the older, faulty version to open files and it will not work.
