Good morning, I hope you are having a good day.

I have an account with CA FTB (to make my estimated tax payments) and an account with CA DMV (for DMV stuff like renewing drivers license).

The FTB account is https://webapp.ftb.ca.gov The DMV account is https://www.dmv.ca.gov

So, Firefox browser seems to think these two accounts are the same, and tries to use my FTB credentials for my DMV account.

It seems like the .ca.gov causes the browser to think they are the same account?

So, I would appreciate any insight on how to fix or work around this problem.

Firefox memorizes userIDs and I do not see an option to stop it from doing so. Is there an option?

Keep in mind that passwords are not limited to the password entry. Every entry in a sign-in process is an opportunity for a password. For example, the answer to "What street did you grow up on?" could be "Beatlejoice". Similarly, the answer to "What was your mother's middle name?" could be "Aardvark". Nonsensical answers to security questions are more secure than truthful answers.

Again, in the interest of security, is there an option to stop firefox from remembering so much?

The wrong password shows when I try to log into dws.com. The password that shows is 0606945495. I have gone to passwords in the browser and the correct password is shown, yet the wrong password still is shown.

I recall that Firefox used to log-in automatically to websites that require a user name and/or password. This helpful feature seems to have been removed, even for sites that are listed in the "Passwords" display. How can I get it back?

Why doesn;t Firefox autofill my saved sites and passwords. I cannot find a setting for that. I don't want to go through all my sites to change passwords and don't know if I did would they then work to autofill. bold text

The helpful suggestion that someone offers for a solution is appreciated, however, for me there are no "arrows" to use as instructed in order to fix my problem, e.g., stopping drop-down/pop-ups that reveal of my ID when signing in for both Amazon or Mozilla web sites.

I cleared my history, and lost my autofill for my yahoo email account. I can't get it back from them. Is there a way for me to find it in my firefox history? Thanks

Several sites incorrectly tag their username (and sometimes also password) forms and this prevents firefox's automatic username/password autofil dropdown.

Is there a button or some way to force the autofil to appear? It is a pain in my behind that I have to manually open my passwords in firefox and find the page I am already on and copy/paste these things, just because some websites have strange HTML.

I understand that firefox can't override the HTML of these pages, but there should be some hotkey to force open the autofill dropdown (ideally with some sort of search function or selection based on url). It does also need to have an option to select whether I am pasting username or password.

I have two e mails, but when i try to go to my secondary email [email 1 removed]@gmail.com i always get my primary one, [email 2 removed]@gmail.com. why?

                        My name is David James And I'm a Web Designer I choose a Brower Firefox for my websites, but I'm a beginner in Firefox Brower First of all my password saved but some problem are their when I change the Password of my Websites Yes No Button then this time password isn't saved and I'm beginner so, didn't know setting how to recover auto-fill password

I log in periodically to a specific web site, in which I have an account. Recently, I cancelled (deleted) that account. I also deleted in the Firefox parameters that URL/login/password, and all related cookies. Later, I created a new account on that web site, using Firefox in private mode only, and it works fine. But Firefox prompts, in the login field of that web site, the old account, although for all I know there is no trace of it in the parameters. Not only do I use it in private mode, I also tested using a VPN - just in case the prompt would come from the remote website - and it still prompts that ancient login. Why is that prompt appearing and how do I get rid of it (without affecting all the other websites I use without a problem)? Thanks.

Somehow, my sign-in on Coinbase is now asking for me to insert a USB device into my computer as a passkey, and that is there because of Mozilla Firefox. I tried a couple weeks ago to sign in, after my phone was broken, and in the process this new way of requiring me to have some USB device came about, now I cannot log into my Coinbase account, cannot buy or sell, do anything because Mozilla is requiring me to use a non-existent USB drive with a digital passkey. I cannot call and talk to Coinbase, and I have no idea how to reach Mozilla to cancel this either.

It's very hard for me to find where to go after clicking on the three line symbol in right hand corner. But when I finally did locate in Settings the section on passwords and sign-in info I turned that off. I was happy until I again signed into Mozilla and Amazon and my email address (which I use for ID) continued to pop up. Why do these things have to be so hard to find and then to make work. Please help. Thank you.
