We are in an enterprise environment and for years we have had disabled automatic updates.

Firefox ESR 128.2.0 has been deployed with defaults and these settings have been configured to override previous settings.

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Mozilla > Firefox

- Custom Update URL = Disabled
- Disable Update = Disable
- Application Autoupdate = Enabled
- Background updater = Enabled

We also have a system proxy configured.

Updates do work if someone goes to Help > About Firefox.

Looks like the update interval is once every 7 hours but how is this triggered?

I used Ad Blocker but when I go to the Daily Mail web site, I can't get access and I get the message that I'm using Ad Blocker. I have removed this app but I'm still getting the stupid message preventing me from reading the Daily Mail. Help please.

I just got an update overnight on November 1, 2024. None of my YouTube Saved Links will load a YouTube Video. Only a Blank Screen Shows Up. I can still use the YouTube search bar and find a video, but if I save the video and try to open the link or refresh the video, I get a blank screen again.

After updating to FF 132.0.1, my homescreen shortcuts are no longer visible or accessable. Could you please advise what I must do to restore them? Thank you in anticipation, Peter Palmer

Environment is Win 10 PC, ver 22H2 (OS build 19045.5011)

Every time I open Firefox recently, and the Yahoo.com web page starts up, I get an annoying prompt from global privacy control, that asks to allow or not allow. IT'S ANNOYING. I went into the settings for that apparent add on feature, that I DIDN'T add, and set all 5 settings to FALSE, but the program still pops up. It ALSO screws up the format of the Firefox web page, and shows the Yahoo News feed totally different and it's also VERY ANNOYING HOW do I totally get rid of the global privacy control? I can select the Firefox settings under security to tell web pages to not sell the info, as far as I know, correct, so I don't need the retarded global add on? ?? I want Firefox news feed like it was before the update. Thank you very much... HOPEFULLY!

Just received notice of "Firefox Review Checker - Ensure review authenticity in your online shopping" tool. I realize it's new and Mozilla is looking for customer input from using the tool. How much does it cost? Thanks for your help.

Hello, My OTHER computer is an old laptop Ver.10-9-5. Somehow my teenage son totally deleted its FireFox browser and even deleted any reference to fox. How can I repair the damage. How can I install a fox version that the laptop will accept and use. I'm not very savvy with these things so please make your response idiot proof. Thanks much. Blaine

I had the to try to open Firefox, to do something, but you showed me this message:

This is another moment where I have to post through my Mac Monterey when the problem is on Window 10 64-Bit. This problem surfaces when there is an update available to either program, though it seems like most times, not every time. Currently there is one available for Firefox that does not download. Previously the download installed on its own when this happened. I have shut down and restarted the system at least three times. At the last time I restarted in Safe Mode With Networking. It detected the update but would neither download nor check for updates. The message read to reinstall the new version. Is there any way to fix this updating problem once and for all? It is peculiar the Edge does not display this behavior. Right now what tabs I had open froze; so I had to use this system to post with Firefox for Mac Monterey. Thanks in advance.

My Apple MacBook Air is 10 years old but it does all I need. I'm 80 years old and marginally functional with computers I'm getting a bar that says I need to update my browser. I want to continue using Firefox like I have been for years. I've been trying to update in every way I can see to try but no success. Can anyone help me?
