I did a clean install of both Firefox, which I have used for years, and Ghostery private browser, which I just heard about last week. I have used the Ghostery extension, in Firefox, for years also.
My homepage, in both, is Breitbart News. Whenever I use Firefox, it takes over 35 seconds to load Breitbart upon startup. Whenever I use Ghostery Private Browser, it takes less than 5 second to load Breitbart. The difference appears to be that Ghostery, obviously, is not an extension in Ghostery Private Browser!
The only difference I have noticed, so far, is that, in Ghostery PB, whenever I click on a Bookmark, it automatically opens up a new tab, while, in Firefox, the bookmark opens in the tab I'm in at the time.
SO, I have a few questions. Since Ghostery PB seems to be Firefox, is it really Firefox Light? That is, are there functions, in Firefox, that I don't have in Ghostery PB?
Then, if so, are there any settings, in Ghostery, that would remove 'Light' functionality or features and make both Firefox, with Ghostery extension, exactly the same as Ghostery PB!
And if that's the case, that there is no diffence, I might suggest that Ghostery be an option, on Firefox install, rather than a separate installation.
