Hi everyone,

Hope somebody can help me. I already checked two browsers like Google Chrome & Safari - finally the issue, as I see, is only on Firefox browser.

On our smm panel https://plusmein.net/ we have the embedded Vimeo video with intro image and it seems that it is not working correct at all (means when I press the play button I hear just sounds, but not see how the video is playing). And this happen only from Firefox mobile browser as I checked - I attached the screenshot as well.

So I totally don`t understand how to fix it without delete the cover image. In all browsers all works good. But I`m not a geek so I think maybe I`m doing something wrong.

Please help. Thanks

When I click on a link, a whole new copy of the browser seems to open from the right side of the screen. This is disconcerting to say the least. More importantly I find it hard to go back and forth between windows to get something done.

This just started when I downloaded/installed a recent new version of Firefox. (Version 104.0.1)

How do I get rid of this "feature"? I mush prefer opening screens in the same browser copy.

Initial buffering of html5 video causes significantly longer wait times compared to chrome

I've been implementing my own file hosting / streaming platform and managed that my solution performs a lot better in Chrome compared to Firefox. Of course the actual download speed is the same, but it seems firefox buffers a much larger byte range before starting to play the video compared to chrome.

For example, the first screenshot shows network traffic in Firefox between opening the page until the second the video starts playing. As you can see, Firefox loads 346.58 MB of data in 19.01 seconds (including one 326.70 MB range request for bytes 19365888-5071292588/5071292589) before the video starts playing. This results in almost 1 minute of video to be buffered before playback begins.

Whereas in chrome, the video starts almost immediately after only buffering smaller byte ranges (as shown in the second screenshot). What's interesting is that chrome seems to request the entire rest of the video immediately after but keeps streaming the received bytes instead of waiting for the entire range request to complete, so the last request in the third screenshot just keeps growing in size while the video plays.

I was wondering if there's something I could tweak on my end or if this is something that could be improved in Firefox. It seems odd that Firefox buffers such large chunks of videos before playback begins.

Long time Firefox/Mozilla user. Installed/upgraded/migrated on Win, Android, Linux (various distros) over the years.

This was posted under migration but might be relevant in this topic.

Built a new Win 10 system 11/21. Installed Firefox, logged in and Enabled Sync. Installed licensed Adobe photo editing software. No problems. Used for 2 weeks.

Spent 5 months in hospital.

Back home, used new PC for ~45 days; Win 10 went wiggy on me after an update - could not get to Settings menu ya da ya da. It went downhill from there. No identifiable hardware issues (tested memory and (.m2) boot drive, etc

Tried many fixes to Windows while trying to keep user data. Ended up reinstalling Win 10 (multiple times...). System working, but no bookmarks/passwords. Installed Firefox. Of course, it didn't work - understandibly.

Went to old PC, Firefox does not seem to give me the option to *see* my login password); looked up Firefox password (I hated to do it, but with ~500 userid/passwords, I started to let FF manage these a few years back). Found it. Went to new box and logged in. Password error. Digging deeper, it *appears* that the present password was set circa 2015 and the Firefox saved password was set circa 2021.

I've now been fussing with this a week. Searching, searching; trying pretty much everything I can think of. Nothing works.

Any path forward besides changing passwords on all of the involved (~20+) devices?

Now I need to try to recall where I put the recovery key ... (yes, I have since embarked on an extensive backup/restore point campaign which includes backing up backup system software).

Suddenly today a message appeared at the top of my settings page saying: "your browser is being managed by your organization". I am on a personal computer in my home, the only computer I have. I don't have an organization. Have I been hacked or why is this suddenly on my settings? I am not very tech literate, an older person so can't do very complex things. I don't want anyone but me managing my settings. I am the only one using my computer. I am on Windows 7 Home premium.

I am running Unix Ubuntu 22.04 with Firefox 104.0.01 (64 bit). My Canon LBP 6230DW works fine in my word processor and in Chrome, but it does not show up in the Printer destination field when I am in Firefox. The only print option is to "Save as PDF." How do I get the Canon to be a print destination in Firefox?

This is my second request because I can't find my original question. jonzn4SUSE has asked me to upload print screens, which are attached. Carl ([email removed from public])

I find it really annoying that Mozilla insist on using Google as the default search engine and without any option to change it. Of course the entire reason behind google is that they wish to spy on everyone and keep as much information as possible on each and every one of us. So one wonders where the idea that Mozilla protects your privacy comes from, as no matter what Mozilla do, Google is still looking in and indeed listening in too. I used to love Mozilla Firefox but of late it has almost got into the same bed as Google. We need and want a change - Give us the option at least and be transparent. Masking is for robbers! I'm personally sick of google and have been for several years - they couldn't beat DuckDuckGo so now they have Mozilla on their side with most things DEFAULT and without the possibility of changing that (by the looks of it). Google is a spy and the sooner people realise that, the better, so no good looking for an answer as to how to remove it - Mozilla will not help as it seems to be stuck with it and no amount of trying this or that will solve the problem fully. It is up to Mozilla to get out of the grasp of Google and allow customers (the public) to have a choice - so let's have it Mozilla. By the way, I don't share anything (not even information as to how my browser works - I wouldn't be so stupid as to trust Google even for that, but can guarantee anyone they already have that information and more.

(Mon. 9-5-22 @ 8:13pm CST) How do I Recover "Lost" or "Missing" Log-In's & Passwords that for years have been In the Password Manager inside Mozilla Firefox?? I REALLY NEED HELP ON THIS PLEASE!! Hello, I have no idea where almost 270 website / user names & passwords have Gone?? I used to have Over 300 in my Firefox/Mozilla Options/Passwords File, (Password Manager) up until 2 or 3 weeks ago.. Now, I have Only 33 user names/Passwords when I opened it up tonight.. The reason I went to FIND a user name & password for it, is Because I have (2) Programs that are NOT OPENING UP now, And (1) Program happens to be my ( WEBROOT Internet Security & Anti-Virus Software from Best Buy / Geek Squad..) This Webroot Loads Automatically every time I Boot my Computer, and Runs in the Background of my Windows 10 64-Bit operating System.. But, just about 2 weeks ago, the Webroot Dashboard that "Normally Opens" up in "Green", Now Opens up in "RED" and wants me to Provide my "Membership ID", and The "Product Key" to it.. And this is a Paid Subscription thru Best Buy / Geek Squad Every Year, ( and Does Not Expire until This coming November of 2022..) So, Now I Know why this Webroot is Not Loading, and is asking me for my "Information".. Because I am MISSING This Information, And 269 Other Logins, & Passwords from Mozilla Firefox.. Could SOMEONE? Please, Advise me as to "WHERE" the "Encrypted" (User names & Passwords) are on my Hard drive?? And How do I "IMPORT" These "FILES" back into Firefox's (Password Manager) ?? Thank You, DEXTER in Texas..
