How do we (users) modify Firefox functionality to "open image in new tab" using a keyboard shortcut? A configurable (about:) parameter would be very beneficial.

If this is already solved, please publish documentation on how to solve this without the use of questionable add-on's (which introduce security risks and privacy issues).

Issue: When Firefox starts after a system reboot, it starts on the incorrect desktop. This seems to be off by one; that is, I have Firefox assigned to Desktop 3 (using the Dock icon's Options menu). Under normal operation, it starts on Desktop 3, but after a reboot, it seems to start on (more recently) Desktop 2 or (earlier) Desktop 4. Unsure about what causes it to prefer 2 vs. 4.

This seems to happen after I've shut down (quit Firefox normally, shut down without reopening windows on login, power goes off, power on, log in, then click on the Firefox icon in the Dock) or after a system update (which reopens windows on login for me after rebooting and installing the update). It does not seem to happen after a Firefox update or after quitting Firefox normally and then restarting it from the Dock icon right away.

Pretty irritating, as I have major applications assigned to specific desktops, and Firefox is the only one that seems to forget which desktop it should be on.

Firefox 150.0.3 (aarch64):

I am trying to configure our Firefox configuration via Intune and need to use the OMA-URI: ./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Firefox~Policy~firefox/Preferences with the following JSON:

I do not have any of the Deprecated preference settings in use.

The error presented is -2016281112 and checking the respective settings in about:config on a synchronised device shows that the settings have not applied.

Firefox has been automatically updated on Windows 11 and Tahoe, and now every time I close the browser, all tabs close – even the pinned ones – despite the ‘Open previous windows and tabs’ option being selected at startup.

I have tried five different window managers - none give a reliable permanent opening of Firefox in the primary monitor. Google suggested deleting two files from Profile; I could find only one; deleting it did not produce the desired result. Firefox 'Memory' appears to over-ride any setting.

Up until the last week, on my iMac, if I clicked on the Firefox button on my bottom toolbar, both of my main FF windows (each with multiple tabs and open all the time) would come to the front of the screen.

Now, only one window comes up and I have to specifically select the other window to see it.

Is this a new behaviour or have I inadvertently deactivated whatever it was that let me do as I have always done previously!

I can't find any setting that appears to refer to this condition.

FF used to have a "Close right tabs" menu point. EXCELLENT. Fast. Useful. Since some time, feature creep has expanded that into "Close several tabs" and the sub-menu close right tabs close left tabs close all tabs

Minor point: I use close right all the time, never though close left or close all ("Close all" would be "move to start", then "close right", anyway) So, I go one level further down for nothing added.

Major point: Inadvertently closing to the left or closing all destroys a lot of tabs I do not want to go.

This new "feature" is annoying and harmful. At the very least, developers should ask users whether they actually want that stuff. Before spending/wasting time on it.

Now, "close left" and "close all" being unfortunately present: Is there a way to remove the two dangerous options and stay - as before - with just "Close right tabs"?

For the past week, I've been trying to set Firefox as my default browser on Windows 11 Pro (I've been using Firefox for years), but after restarting, the Edge browser reappears, even for PDFs (we use Adobe Acrobat) and Paint for TIFF and JPEG files! It's outrageous that Microsoft is forcing users to use Edge. This never happened to me with Windows 7 or Windows 10. I'm completely dissatisfied with Microsoft's policy of forcing users to use Edge! I've tried configuring regedit, gpedit, taskchd, etc., in a thousand different ways, and after restarting, the intrusive Edge returns! Is there any way to prevent this? Mozilla should fight this! It's unacceptable that we have to be tied to Microsoft's monopolistic whims!. Do you have any solution? Thank you very much!! Leonardo

Feedback on Firefox Widgets – Missing Indian Standard Time (IST)

I noticed that the World Clock widget includes Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) but does not provide an option for Indian Standard Time (IST). This is surprising given that India has one of the world's largest internet user bases and a significantly larger population than many countries currently represented.

India operates on a unique UTC+5:30 time zone used by over 1.4 billion people, making it one of the most widely used time zones globally. The absence of IST while neighboring time zones are available feels like a major oversight and reduces the usefulness of the widget for Indian users and anyone who regularly works with Indian colleagues, clients, friends, or family.

Please consider adding Indian Standard Time (IST) to the World Clock widget as a standard option. Its inclusion would greatly improve the widget's global coverage and usability.

How can i change bookmarks menu so it will close after choosing. Ive searched and only found option to stay open, (Option to not close menu when opening new tab)... Not what im wanting, I want to open bookmarks choose and have it auto close the side bar of bookmarks. Maybe even auto closing the link folders opened. Windows 11.

I used to paste a text selection (temporary clipboard) into the URL bar and it would replace the loaded text/url. Now, it inserts it to the existing content at the point of the cursor. Why does it do it now? Is this an option i have to disable or is it a bug?

Firefox 151.0.1 64 bit for Arch Linux I am trying to create a desktop app from a website - the ai is saying if there is no + sign in the url box then try More Tools -> Create Shortcut but there is no Create shortcut there. So how to create a desktop app from a website?

When I have set the size of the window and then move the window to the left or right then the application automatically expands the window. I do not want it to do that as I want to be able to have the firefox window where I choose and the size I have chosen, but the program automatically expands the widow to fill the screen.

I am still waiting for you to remove Show All in config:editor. It was unnecessary and unwanted by your users. Just allow us to access config:editor the way we used to before this moronic change.

Not sure if this is a Linux or Firefox issue, but here goes. In the past when uploading pictures for instance in Gmail I got a menu showing places EG pictures, video's etc. Example - home - pictures- cats - black cats - list of jpg's, click attach. When attaching another pic from the same folder etc it used to default to the same folder location with the list of jpg's.

With the last few FF updates that isn't the case any more, when next attaching a pic file I now have to start again from scratch EG home, pics, cats, black cats instead of click attach straight to list of jpg's in back cats.

Is there anyway I can configure FF back to the old setting please?

Can I lock in my Zoom setting to 120. When I am scrolling up or down a page, My 120 zoom goes crazy. There has to be a way to lock my zoom rate to 120. I can lock in my zoom rate with Chrome. Why not Mozilla?

Anytime I open Firefox that pop-up shows, I don't want F-fox opening every time I start PC but there's no option to get it to go away otherwise, or at least that I can see.

A very anoying popup appear asking if If I want to start Firefox when Windows start.

How can I click: Never ask again. Why in the world would anyone ever want this enabled.
