I want to keep using Firefox on Windows, but I can't log into my bank or one of my newspapers or to other important websites. No problem on Mac. Using Ghostery and last pass. Maual logins don't work either. Annoying to have to load Edge. Have used Firefox for years and this problem appeared last year some time. I am running 98.01 64 bit. Some places the login text boxes do not even appear.

I'm having the same problem as others with my Amazon Order page blinking rather than showing my orders. So, I'd like to add a bit more detail in the hope that it will help both me and the community.

I'm on WIndows 10 and have the following extensions DuckDuck Go; Facebook Container; Privacy Badger; and RoboForm. I'm using the Dark Theme and have only the standard Plug Ins. Just as others have posed the problem started a few days.ago.

The details of my problem is that when I go to the Orders page the page just blinks. I recorded the web site activities as shown on the bottom left and get the following cycle of notifications:

   www.amazon.com

I contacted Amazon and they show no issues on there site. I then I tried the Troubleshooting mode as recommended in other posts. I also tried disabling all of my extensions and reverted to the standard Theme. All without fixing the problem. I have another computer with exact same setup and do not have this problem. Nor is it a problem on my iPad. Clearly something happened to this browser installation.

So, before going through an uninstall and reinstall... which may or may not fix this. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on what else I can do.

FIREFOX CREATES FUNCTIONAL PROBLEMS WHEN USING FACEBOOK!

Already for some time Facebook's functionality is ruined by Firefox. When scrolling the home and start page it no more loads anything , only a white background is visible (see attachment) .

It started some weeks ago. Only FF browser has this, other web browsers work fine . Deleting cookies doesn't restore functionality.

Hello, this is a reboot of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1342814 which was solved with a workaround then archived. However, I don't find this satisfying as we found a UX issue on the Mozilla website that needs to be fixed.

The issue is twofold: missing button (hard problem), and lengthy click flow (soft problem).

The issue occurs on all questions/ (not questions/new/) pages: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/thunderbird etc.

I'll use Thunderbird to illustrate.

When logged in, the Ask the Community button is replaced with a Top Contributors button. This makes it impossible to ask a new question from that page. You'd need to: Clickflow A 1. Log out / use another browser, but stay on the page e.g. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/thunderbird 2. Click Ask the Community => https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new 3. Surprisingly, select the category again (website forgot we were on Thunderbird, it sent us to a generic URL) => https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird 4. You must NOT click on Get Help > Thunderbird or you'll fall back to the problematic page with Top Contributors.

Required fix: Ask the Community button should always appear on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/thunderbird. If logged in, it could appear below Top Contributors button.

Suggested improvements: Reduce the number of steps of both click flows: - in Clickflow A, assume user wants to ask question on the same category as the last page. You can still add a button or dropdown to change category if user realizes it's not exactly the forum they wanted, or even a list of categories at the bottom of the page under some header "Looking for another product?". But at least this will remove the need for step 3. - in Clickflow B, skip the second Ask button, Ask Now (step 4). Assume user who clicked Ask Community on the previous page, already searched a similar question using "Find help..." (which is present on both the page with Ask Community and Ask Now), and just lead them to the form. (Clickflow A enters question flow faster so it doesn't have this redundant Find help... issue)

I have PDF files set to "Open in Firefox", not "Save File", but now the browser does BOTH. I don't understand this. Why is there even an option if it's just going to save it anyway? I don't want files automatically dumped onto my machine without my say-so. Please change this back.

Was OK two days ago, but now the Amazon UK website is not working properly in various ways: cannot place an order, cannot get help pages, cannot logout for example. However, it does work normally if I use Edge.

why do these javascript commands not work: all I get is a new blank tab. Javascript is enabled in about:config.

If some character is being put into the login box when I bring up a site, is there a way to stop that? It makes me sign in and after it fails, I sign in a second time and it goes through!

I can no longer open www.bankofamerica.com on my firefox browser. It works on my iphone and on chrome. What's going on?

I have to use college proxy server to access the college network. After setting system proxy settings, we have to login at an online college proxy portal before being able to use their internet. Most of the times, the login portal is accessible via HTTP protocol, and when logging in, the form submits a POST request to their server and gets redirected to a "login_success" page, always via HTTP protocol. But every once in a while, when accessing the login portal through HTTP protocol, it redirects to the same URL but using HTTPS protocol, and when you try to login, the POST request fails with NS_BINDING_REDIRECT error, probably because it gets redirected to "login_sucess" page with HTTP protocol. No such error is raised on chromium, and I am able to login without any problem there. Any help would be much appreciated.

TLDR: NS_BINDING_REDIRECT error when logging at an online portal, since the login page uses HTTPS protocol, and successful login attempt via POST redirects to a success page using HTTP protocol.

When looking at tweets I made on Twitter there is an "analytics" icon. When clicking on that icon a pop up appears telling me how many likes, retweets, comments, impressions, engagements, detail expands, new followers, profile visits, and video views the tweets have. I can see the label to new followers and profile visits but the number below is cut off. I can scroll a few pixels down but not enough to see the numbers. Below all that is the number of video views and I can't see that at all. I'm using Windows 10. I have the latest version of FireFox. I have tried FireFox troubleshoot mode. I have the same problem with FireFox on a different computer. The problem does not exist when using Microsoft Edge. The problem started when Twitter redesigned their analytic pop up window.

What can I do to prevent websites from logging me out "due to inactivity" and "for your safety" (lol)? This happens with many of my financial (banking/brokerage) sites, for instance, or some tax return sites.

I went them to be like my email accounts (e.g. gmail, yahoo mail). You can have a tab open for Gmail and another tab open for yahoo mail, and even if you don't click or type a single character in hours, they will not log me out.

Is there some way to trick these patronizing "We'll log you out for your good" websites from logging me off?

I have used the Waitrose app on my browser for some time and it is used at least one weekly. The site now appears to be blocked in that i cannot access it because; 1, when it opens I have to click on use of cookies, neither option responds 2, there is a gifting icon in top right hand corner of screen, again clicking on this has no affect

HOW to disable AUTOFILLING on default WEBSITES that are not searched for. you try typing in PSY to search for the South Korean pop star and it AUTOFILL DEFAULTS TO psychologytoday. COM WHAT IS THAT insanity NEEDS a solution to fix that address bar AUTOFILLING TO SITES never visited when NOT SEARCHED FOR ALSO. VERY STRANGE and the chrom browsers do not have that bug additional settings to fix that ARE FANTASTIC THANK.

Hello! When I attempt to navigate to the following website, I get a screen that says "JavaScript Error" and the browser keeps retrying to open the site and it just keeps looping showing me the error message but never opens. When I open FF in troubleshoot mode, the website will load after flashing the error message very briefly. After I turn off troubleshoot mode, it continues to work until I restart my computer then the error message displays again and the site won't load. I have tried switching to the default theme, deactivating all add ons, and extensions, but that didn't fix it. Please help! Thanks in advance! I am running Firefox with the Windows 10 operating system. I have been using Google Docs in Firefox for several months without issue until a couple weeks ago. Around March 7, the copy and paste shortcuts in Google Docs stopped working in Firefox. I had made no changes to Firefox, any of the extensions, nor any settings between the time the shortcuts were working and the time they were not. In an attempt to locate and correct the problem, numerous tests were conducted: refreshing and reloading Google Docs; testing the shortcuts in other websites, Word, and Excel; uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox; setting security settings to "Standard"; disabling all extensions; disabling all extensions and deleting all website, cookie, and history data; and testing the copy and paste shortcuts in Google Docs in Microsoft Edge. The copy and paste shortcuts functioned normally in other websites, Word, Excel, and in Google Docs loaded in Microsoft Edge. All other tests showed no change in the functionality of those shortcuts. This demonstrated that there is a problem with the compatibility of either Firefox or the downloaded version of Firefox with Google Docs.

Are there any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

These sites all work fine in other browsers, changing the default browser proves to be a fix.

The behavior is reproduced with A.V. removed and when tested on a network that isn't behind a firewall, one of my colleagues even has it happening on his personal home PC, completely not related to our company firewall or A.V.

Oddly, it isn't universal. I don't have it happening on my PC and can't figure out for the life of me what makes my firefox or anything else any different--I'm on the same profile on the other machines where its reproduced.

Changing connection settings to auto-detect proxy settings for the network reduces load time for these shortcuts/links to about 6 seconds (trying to improve that to immediate, to prevent users from changing to another browser--trying to give firefox a chance to continue competing).

This isn't happening on every single PC for some reason, but a good portion of them. Seems to have started up as people got to version 98.0.1

I've already tried changing the about:config flags of network.dns.disableIPv6 and network.dns.disablePrefetch to true, nothing changed. Changing the checkbox for enable DNS over https also has no impact.

This happens on fresh installs of firefox, with default settings. This has been an ongoing problem for a few weeks now.
