I was trying to develop an android app with Cordova, and test it locally in my browser. But, the browser won't allow me to fetch() from an external site, even though this behavior would be allowed if the same code runs as a native app. For development and testing purposes, is there a way to temporarily unblock CORS for a specific site?

I'd also love if this were something that were a standard permissions setting, just like you can grant access to the camera or to your location. Then we could make third-party clients for other popular sites without needing workarounds like a browser extension or a proxy server. Maybe there could be a warning like "app.com tried to fetch from example.com, but that site does not allow cross-origin resource sharing. fetch anyway?"

But honestly I'd just be happy with a way to unblock CORS for a single tab for development purposes. Is this already possible? If not, are there some other good ways to test a webview app?

I am wanting to maximize my privacy and security on Firefox. I am using aliases to do so. However, when viewing the account settings and the connected services section, I saw that Firefox was connected to "[full legal name]'s Firefox on [laptop name]." I did not supply Firefox with my real name, and I suspect that Firefox is simply reading the name of the account I used to log into my laptop. However, changing the name of the device account is not easy as it is linked to my Microsoft account, but even after successfully doing so using the command center, the connected services still reads my real name. How do I change this?

There are some websites that modifying the history and when I wish to go back, I am being taken back directly to home page, or worse in some others, being looped back into the current url again.

In the second one, I know the website adding a duplicate url to the history so if I right click and select the 3rd one I can get out of the loop but it's just rather quite annoying.

Is it possible to prevent these websites meddling with my browsing history? (without disabling the javascript)

Thank you very much in advance.

I am trying to add a new email address to my account so I can change the original one because it has been compromised. When i put in the new email I'm told there's "account already exists" I have no awareness of this account and can't find any reference to it in my paperwork. The new email address I want to change to is safe and secure. If in the past I did get a firefox account using the disputed email, How do I go about finding it? I'm using version 121.0.1

Subject: Urgent: Request for Account Restoration

Dear Firefox Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Ray Bann, and I recently experienced an issue with my Firefox Nightly browser after a system restore on my personal computer earlier today.

Following the system restore, my Firefox Nightly browser was successfully restored; however, to my dismay, all of my meticulously organized bookmarks and passwords from my Firefox account disappeared. Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to retrieve them using the Sync feature, even after multiple logins.

I kindly request your assistance in restoring my Firefox account to a previous state, preferably within the last 2-3 days, to ensure the recovery of my bookmarks. The information related to my account is as follows:

   Display Name: Ray Bann
   Primary Email: rayalessandrobann@gmail.com
   Secondary Email: ravasz.laszlo1987@gmail.com

If additional information is required to process this request, please let me know, and I will promptly provide any necessary details.

I understand the importance of data security and appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. Thank you for your assistance in restoring my Firefox account.

Best regards, Ray Bann

Hello everyone,

I'm currently consuming APIs hosted on an external server using Java( or any other server side language), and everything works smoothly. However, when attempting to consume the same APIs in JavaScript, I encounter the 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' error.

After some research, I discovered that browsers implement security checks leading to this issue. Can anyone advise on how to disable these security checks or resolve this issue when accessing the website in the Firefox browser? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I couldn't see any option to ignore or accept the warning and continue at my own risk.

Currently, there appears to be only one option to tell Firefox to open a given site in a specific container; that is, from the URL bar, to the right.

Would it make sense to have this configuration option presented in "edit bookmark" and/or in a right-click pulldown menu "Always open in this container"?
