For some time now, after one of the Firefox updates, I cannot post or share articles to Twitter because the scroll bar doesn't work. This is the only browser where I have this problem and the problem seems confined to Twitter, although I don't generally post on many other websites. The dialogue box will pop up and I can see the content, but the scroll bar on the right side will not allow me to scroll down to the Tweet button. It's greyed out and simply won't move. I've tried tweaking settings/permissions, etc., to no avail. I'm tired of having to copy the article address to Edge or Chrome to share it, or go to one of those browsers to post in Twitter. It's really become such a problem because I generally use Firefox and I use Twitter quite often. This has been an ongoing issue for months now and thus far I can find no reason for it and no solution. If anyone can provide some insight, I'd appreciate it. And yes, I've cleared cookies/cache umpteen times. Browser is updated. Windows 10 is updated. It makes no sense to me at all.

I want to have a cookies exception to a particular financial website that has recently changed and now won't open reliably when I try to log in. They say must have cookies active. So I went to my privacy settings and, using Exceptions for Cookies and Site Data, set their website to allow cookies. HOWEVER, at the end of the day, when I clear Firefox history, the exception gets cleared as well. Of what use is the exception list if it gets cleared when I clear all my history? I know I can manually override the cookies problem by checking the shield icon in the address bar, but I don't feel I should have to do that every time I want to sign on to that website (I thought the whole idea of the exceptions list was to avoid having to do that).

Apparently I can't edit my own past questions/threads once they have been archived, so this is to provide a update to my previous thread for others who may be searching for answers.

The culprit was a pre-installed PC power settings controller called "Control Center 3.0" developed by Clevo. I think I had opened it just once when I first bought my laptop to set the LED lighting scheme of my keyboard, but it could also control power settings and always booted in the background on startup. This application was preventing hardware acceleration in Firefox.

After uninstalling "Control Center 3.0" youtube video playback on Firefox works perfectly, but I can no longer enable the keyboard backlighting - a worthwhile tradeoff in my eyes.

Despite all my searching, I have not been able to find a solution to this issue that works for me. When I start watching a youtube video, it plays fine, zero interruptions. However the moment I touch the seek bar, pause the video for a moment, anything that interrupts the playback, I cannot watch more than 2 seconds of video before it will pause as if buffering for a few seconds, play again for a few seconds, pause again etc etc. over and over and over, making it impossible to watch any video at that point. Refreshing the page will fix it, but if I have to use the seek bar to get back to where I was, then the exact same issue will re-occur. There is zero issue with playback on other browsers, such as chrome or edge. I have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, various codecs, user agents, refreshed firefox, started it in troubleshooting mode etc, nothing has helped.

Using Twitter to compose message in Firefox Browser however cannot scroll to reveal box to reply. How do I activate the scroll bar to the right hand side of the twitter "compose a reply" chat box?

While I'm in Firefox, composing a reply in twitter, I can only get so far. The gray scroll bar on the right will not move. So I can create a reply but I cannot get to the tweet box. See images attached.

When I try to scroll, this chat box comes up instead asking to save or discard. I do not want to do neither. I want to reply right now. I went to chrome and used twitter there and I could retweet, add my comment and then scroll down to select the tweet button.

If the scroll bar on the right would actually scroll, it would take me to the bottom on the chat box where i could then see and select the tweet box. So please tell me if I can use twitter while in Firefox to reply to messages or must I always go to another browser? How do I activate the scroll bar to the right hand side of the twitter "compose a reply" chat box?

I hope the images help. Thank you for reading.

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at recs.richrelevance.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

Since firefox has added VR support, it seems to randomly open SteamVR, even though I'm not currently accessing any VR content. I've heard you can disable dom.vr.enabled, but this was already disabled.

I've also disabled these settings, which does not seem to have helped:

dom.vr.oculus.enabled dom.vr.oculus.invisible.enabled dom.vr.openvr.enabled

Is there anything else I can do to see why this would be happening?
