Is it possible to disable hardware decoding for VP9 exclusively. Watching a 4K video on YouTube results in anywhere from 10% to 50% of frames dropped, which is not a great experience. If I disable video decoding entirely I get 0% dropped frames, but with 20% cpu overhead, therefore I'd like to disable it for VP9, but keep it for H264.

When I go into the Settings tab, I see a message at the top of the page that says "Your browser is managed by your organization". This is a private laptop so there should not be any organization managing my browser.

I have searched for help articles to try and solve this problem myself. They all recommend editing a key in the Windows registry, specifically HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox . However, this registry folder does not exist in my laptop. Who is managing my browser? How can I stop them?

I would like to set Firefox homepage with a background image. I don't seem to be able to find one anywhere. I am a novice at computer related issues, and require step by step basic help. Surely there must be a way to change the background image, I managed to do it in Chrome but Firefox illudes me. Thanks for any help in advance.

I am, for the last two to three weeks sufferering limited access to my Barclays online banking if I use Firefox. My bank eventually told me to use an alternate, more popular browser to access it, which I was loathe to do but it worked first time! This is not the first time Firefox has had these issues either. What are you doing about it?

I had an issue with Macbook Pro. Apple support had to wipe and reinstall hard drive. Firefox is my default browser and I was signed in. When we reinstalled Firefox on my new hard drive, I signed in and there's nothing there -- no booksmarks, history toolbar, etc.

Can i still get back that information?

Firefox Info: Version 107.0.1 Build ID 20221128144904 OS Windows 11

Specs: i7 13700k 32GB DDR5 Ram GTX 1080ti

Basically, I'm dropping frames when I'm tabbed into a game, in my instance it's World of Warcraft, but it could be with other games too. I suspect it's something to do with Windows 11 as I didn't have any problems in Windows 10 with my older computer.

Some trouble shooting steps I've taken is I've disabled all extensions, ran the browser in troubleshooting mode, and finally done a Firefox refresh and I still have the same problem.

Hello i have problem with theme's (i thinking that is this ) . The problem looking like in the picture - have no Pause/start button on twich.tv or fullscreen option just all options dissapear when stream starts playing ( when its loading i have those options). Can you please help ?

I don't know why, but I suddenly have a 'pop-up' asking me to have Google store login passwords to various websites. I've removed and deleted or uninstalled every Google app and software that I can find from my PC as well as my laptop, and do not use the Google search engine, nor any Google applications, so how do I stop this, and how did it even get into Firefox? Trying to create as much of a separation as possible between me, my computers and Google (if that is even possible).

Version 102.5.0esr installed. About Firefox indicates it is up to date. Bank website indicates the browser is out of date. Downloaded 107.0.1 and no data such, as bookmarks, was transferred. How do I transfer or import bookmarks, home page, etc. from 102.5.0esr to 107.0.1?

I recently did a clean install of my Windows 10. I was signed in to Firefox before formatting and had sync enabled for all fields, so I thought that once Windows was reinstalled and I installed Firefox I would get all of my history/password/bookmarks back.

Unfortunately, I've now signed into to Firefox and see none of my history/passwords/bookmarks. Is there anything I can do?

It would be quite devastating as I don't have any of that information anywhere else. I should've done a backup, but again, I assumed Firefox Sync would do that just like Google Chrome does.

I tried to create a saved password for a site I need to log in to. The Create New Login form says "Make sure this matches the exact address of the website where you log in." I enter the exact address, username, and password and save it. But what shows after it is saved is a truncated form of the address. It lopped off the specific account ID information for my login page. So when I try to go to that site, my login page can't be found. Why can't the full address be saved?

after reinstalling Firefox, i no longer am able to log into any websites example: you tube, sites, etc. I've check for updates but there's none besides my current version of Firefox which so am in a weird predicament. please help thanks!

Hi, for a weeks I´m having error messages from firefox.

I have already updated windows and mozilla, restarted mozilla and my antivirus doesn´t detect any threat.

What can I do?
