I responded "no" to access the saved passwords in one of the updates, afraid of giving some external hackers access to them, not knowing that I would lose them all. Is there any way to get the lost passwords back? Is there any files on my hard disc where these are stored? I hope that you can help me.... With Regards

Hello there!

I noticed that I get bad internet speeds lately. The provider advertises it as 1 Gbit / 300 Mbit connection with 300 Mbit / 100 Mbit garanteed speeds. I measured download speeds below the garanteed speed with the Ookla speedtest site. It turns out that I get the bad speeds only when I use Firefox. When I try it with Chromium, or with the new Edge browser which is another Chromium based browser, I get speeds which I still not really satisfied with, but this is another story and these speeds are seem to be realistic, and these measurements show values above the garanteed speeds. Now the strange part is, I also get the same bad speeds with Chromium based browser while Firefox is running! What is even more confusing, let say I run a test on both Chromium and Edge with normal speeds, then I launch Firefox for a test I get roughly the same numbers. Now if I leave Firefox open and I run tests on the other browser speeds start to drop and show the usual bad results. Then I run the test on FF and I get the same bad result. Then I close FF and I get the normal speeds on the other browsers. I took around 30 screenshots of these tests and uploaded it onto my google photos. I put the link above:

I'm really confused and I have no idea if it is Firefox or a Windows thing, but I also run these tests on Firefox developer version, and it behaved the same way.

Don't hold your thoughts back, if you have any idea about what is going on, or perhaps you know the answer to these issues!

Since Firefox 89 (maybe one or two releases before) *.localhost sites are not accessible, but those sites are available through other browsers or tools (Postman, Chrome, and Edge). Localhost is an Nginx server mounted on WSL2, so it’s IP does not correspond to 127.0.0.1 which is what Firefox thinks (about:networking#dnslookuptool).

There is no Proxy enabled. I also deleted the site settings on Firefox, disabled IPv6 and prefetch with no result.

I'm using firefox for quite a while now. And all the time there were those pocket recommendations on my about:newtab. But for one or two weeks now, they are gone. I have no option in the about:preferences#home page, to re-enable it. Can you help me getting it back?

Just updated to V89. What I don't like is the font size in the tool bar. I used the zoom control but that doesn't change the font size in the tool bar. Any suggestions as to how to change the tool bar size and/or the font size? Thanks

So Firefox suddenly and without asking just changed its look into something absolutely... No words can describe level of my disgust, so I wont fill this post by angry ranting.

Is there a way to get the old look back? (preferably without any downloads needed, cos at remote desktops that is not always an option)

Please, don't force me to use Chrome. I hate that browser, but they at least had decency to create skin, which makes it look like Firefox. The normal one, not the new diarrhea all over the screen one.

From last night, when I open Firefox, a blank white screen keeps appearing. Other browsers work fine but whenever I open Firefox this happens. I'm currently running Firefox on safe mode. Any solution other than uninstalling Firefox? The screen is fully white, no close button, nothing. Just plain white.

Considering you update nearly every day, the dumbest thing you've done is change the "view photo" in the right mouse button to "open photo in a new tab". Why did you do this dumb thing. We all look at photos, and you made it inconvenient. Dumb Firefox code writers....

I am using an offline web page as my default firefox home page and all was going well until I enabled sync. Now when I boot up firefox two things happen. It changes the address for my home page file to a folder NOT on this computer (the desk top) and won't retain the address I need for that folder.

I have just tried editing the bookmark for page. At the moment it seems to be working but I think sync is causing this issue and wonder if there is a fix for it?

My Firefox can't play any video on any websites. Youtube video keeps on buffering forever and I can't click on the play button. But preview images still shows up when I hover the mouse over video bar. This happened after I updated to latest FF version

I've tried every solutions provided by Mozilla Support: clear caches, disable extensions, uncheck hardware acceleration,.... you name it I've tried it all. Other browsers are just fine, but since FF is my main browser for work I don't want to switch to another one just for music or video.

Firefox 90b8 (64 bit). Note: I had previously been using 32-bit and it would crash once or more per day WITH crash files, many of which were (I think) submitted to you. My PC may be a factor: It's a "new old stock" (vintage 2016 or so) Pipo X9S. This model has 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB EMMC "disk." All disk operations are pathetically slow and I suspect this a factor in the poor performance.

I'd been hoping to see if the 64-bit build works better or could provide crash files. Clearly there's still something broken, but why no crash message/file?

The PC itself has been checked as well as I can. Latest win10 with all updates. Chkdsk /F finds no errors. I even downloaded and ran MEMTEST86 -- no problems there.

Firefox's "Use" is typically streaming music (SoundCloud) but many crashes happen when also doing normal web browsing in a 2nd tab.

Can someone help me to set up crash messages and reporting? Thank you.
