They [rimary password quit woking so changed it in mozzzila account which I'm logged into the browser, but it will not allow me to change the primary password in the browser or access a lot of stuff, . I updated the Password in the Mozzilla account, and since doing that the browser fails to sync.

I cannot figure out how to fix this in a lenovo laptop running stupid windows 11

Two step verification is set up on all my email accounts via webmail - Verizon/AOL, Gmail, and Yahoo. I never set it up, and when I go in to the mail applications' prefererences it's turned off. But when I try to sign into any of my webmail sites it insists on sending me a code and I have to go back to Thunderbird and open the emails containing the verification code. I specifically go to web mail because spam folders aren't available in Thunderbird and I need access to the spam so I can turn it in to Spamcop. (Mac desktop, OS 15.7.1)

I am watching videos on you tube and is changing the original language from english to spanish with out me asking and the same goes for the CC subtitles, it keeps on changing the english original to spanish and vice versa and is really annoying, I have no idea if the problem is with Firefox or with Google Youtube!!

I use Copilot 365. Too often when i load the side bar, it will ask me if I want to log into my personal account or my work account (copilot 365). How can I set the work account as the default so I don't keep on getting that message? It seems like the side bar was designed for the personal copilot link which is why it keeps on asking me.

Bank Login (a single bank) - This has worked fine for years but now there is a problem. I use FireFox password manager and it contains the user name and password and they are correct. When logging in the user name and password are shown and they are correct but the website says user name or password is incorrect. When I type in the user name it works. Why?

Firefox is showing a badge on its dock icon. It's a flower. I think! But I have no idea what it means. What does it mean?

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

I've been having an odd issue with my cursor for a few weeks, even after updating to the currently most recent version (146.0.1) running on MacOS Sonoma. After I play a video, on YouTube or a streaming service like HBOMax, the video information bar at the bottom of the screen disappears. Previously, the cursor would disappear with it. Now it doesn't. Once the video bar disappears, I have to move the non-disappeared cursor once again, which brings back the video bar, and the cursor then disappears with the video bar on the second effort.

It's a minor issue, but is quite annoying, particularly considering this did not used to be the case over the last 10+ years of my Firefox usage. I'm hoping someone has fix, and if not, dev team can take note of this to be addressed in future versions.

I want to delete some accounts that I never use. I can edit the email address and I can delete the password, but how do I expunge the site from my mozilla records?

Firefox is my default browser. The problems have arisen from around December 27th 2025. Till then everything worked smoothly. The first problem is that if I go to google.com then search for say , “Wordle”. The search output is displayed on the screen but when I click on the search result, it does not go anywhere- nothing happens.

The second issues, is till the problem cropped up, I had set google.com as the custom url for home page and windows through settings, home, and had used an extension, “ New tab override” available from Firefox, to set every new tab to open as google.com The url for the webpage works but the new tab override does not. I have tried removing the extension but problem 1 persists.

The third issue is that I have subscriptions to newspapers and had set up the logins. These newspapers are in my bookmarks. When I click on the bookmark the main page opens but the login area is missing. It tells me to get a subscription. e.g., among others, NY times, Uniqlo gb, the Turnitin of my university will not load although I am logged in to the university. I have cleaned all cookies, removed all extension including Ad blockers to fix the problem, tried resetting all to default setting but nothing works. Would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

i have opened my account on firefox and it has a very old version of my bookmarks, i have logged in to the same account on both computers and it isn't showing up on the new one

My Dashlane password manager extension wasn't working, so I deleted it and planned to reinstall it. When I tried to download this extension again, I got the following error message: "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt."

I have the most recent update of Firefox 147.0.2 (64-bit). Please let me know how to fix this issue, as I heavily rely on this extension to sign in to most websites.
