On Aug 23, 2024 I was still able to upload videos to YouTube easily. When I tried again yesterday, all my attempts to upload videos would result in the Upload dialog sticking at 0%, no matter how long I waited. I tried again today and a separate error in which I clicked an option to Delete a 0% uploaded video resulted in approximately 50 of my last youtube uploads being deleted (that's *on* youtube). I tried today with Safari and I had no trouble uploading a video to youtube. Therefore I'm now thinking that there was a recent update to Firefox that is causing this problem.

I'm running Mac OS 10.14.6 and Firefox 115.15.0esr. Before you tell me I should upgrade everything — I'm old — on a fixed income and running older hardware... upgrading is not really an option. Seeing how Firefox was working just a couple of weeks ago for what I needed, is there a way back to a former version?

Currently, I have under "Homepage and New Windows" a custom URL (actually 3 tabs) that open when I start Firefox. (It's a thing of beauty). When I launch Firefox, all three (3) tabs start. That's perfect.

However, if I were to start a new window after, it will start AGAIN all three tabs.

Is there a way to start a BLANK window after Firefox initial starts?

Recently, the icons for the sites I have on my tabs will only show the globe icon. The pages themselves load and work correctly, but the icons won't show up. (For reference, the website for the tabs in the image are for AO3.)

Since installing the latest version of firefox all the web pages are in dark mode even though everything is set to light mode in settings and themes. A lot of the sites are not designed to be in dark mode, they look horrible and some buttons/text are not visible unless the mouse is hovered over them. Strangely these support pages are the only ones in light mode. Please help

The latest firefox update makes it so that when you have duplicate tabs open, if you close one, it closes them ALL. I had an issue where YouTube decided instead of opening a video in the same tab, it opened in a new tab, a setting I immediately fixed when I realized it had happened.

Unfortunately, I only wanted THE DUPLICATE TABS to close, not ALL of the tabs linking to that video. I wanted A SINGLE TAB REMAINING of that tab, but there appears to be no setting anywhere in Firefox to change that. Can anyone help???

To be clear: When I have multiple of the same tab, I only want to close the other duplicates, not all of them, so I can still go about my business on that one tab.

Ex: I open a YouTube video by accident in multiple tabs, I wish to watch this video without having to search YouTube for it again. I want to close the duplicates of that video tab, but not the original one.

Is there a about:config entry for controlling the different types of data collected in the background? I'm asking because I have them switched off yet the app is still trying transmit.

Ive been using Firefox as my default browser for quite some time. However, I cant access "Pay Bills" on my bank website. I receive this message "Why can't I access Bill Pay? You might have cookies blocked or cross-site tracking prevented. Depending on what browser you're using, check your settings for these terms: Block third party cookies Cookie tracking Cross-site tracking. Make sure cookies are not blocked and cross-site tracking is enabled. Follow any additional instructions in your browser once you have adjusted these settings." Not sure I know how to do this.... Hi, I want to access my history more than 7 days but it is not in the options menu anymore. So, now is 09 Septmber. I would like to access my history from 01-02 September. The options now are: Today, Last 7 days, August, July, etc

Using Firefox for windows. Have browser set to never save patient's addresses. After clearing cache/cookies on 9/4/24, Firefox is now asking to save addresses. The box to do so remains unchecked. Cleared saved data again, restarted computer and Firefox. Still asks. Do not want to save addresses for every patient payment entered. It is a HIPAA violation waiting to happen. Not to mention, the constant pop-up asking to save is a distraction from accurate patient care & data entry.

I formatted my pc and forgot my password, did a reset. But apparently I lost all my FF data. BUT I'm still "logged in" my Android FF, is there anyway to create a backup using FF on Android then import that to desktop, then re-login Android using the new PW? At the very least, I'd like to recover top 1, bookmarks, 2, logins.

When I try to download an image attachment, it previews the image in the browser where I must right click to "save image as", then click the back button to get back into email. I do not have the option to tell firefox what to do with jpg files in my settings. I have attached a screen grab of my settings. I do not want to switch back to chrome, but since I download images very frequently due to work, I might have to. Please help me figure this out! Thanks for your time -Shawn

When I open a website in Firefox, the favicon (site icon) does not appear correctly. Instead, I only see letters or text characters where the favicon should be. This problem occurs on various websites. I've tried clearing the cache, checking the favicon settings in about:config, disabling all extensions, and creating a new Firefox profile, but the problem still persists. In another browser I tried to open the same website, the favicon was displayed normally.
