Hi,

Using Firefox version 83.0 on MacBook Pro 2019 16 inch model. When I pause a video on any webpage, I hear a sudden loud "crack" sound from the speakers. It also happens when I unpause, jump backward or forward in the video. If I mute the sound of the video and try to pause/unpause, there is no problem.

I checked the same situation with other browsers. There are no problems with them.

I hope there is a solution to this.

Does anyone know if it is an issue with Firefox since updates that one can not scroll down the side when in archives of google photos. It works in chrome. While using Firefox I have to use the wheel on the mouse which is extremely time consuming.

I have bellsouth.net or att email accounts. Yesterday everything worked perfectly. Today unable to access one account. Had forgotten password so reset password. Decided to reset password for other two email accounts. If I am in Chrome, the passwords are saved. In Firefox the first password entered is what appears for the other two email accounts despite resetting the passwords for the other two email accounts numerous times.

Help. I love Firefox much more than Chrome.

Ever since earlier this week, I have been unable to use my Intuos S tablet in the Mozilla Firefox browser. It scrolls and moves the screen while I am writing. Specifically, this is happening in Google Jamboards but only while using the Firefox browser. I use Jamboards and my tablet for my students and it has really been harming my ability to do my job. Please help.

Zodra ik een DigiD-gebonden website opvraag krijg ik de foutmelding "Beveiligde verbinding mislukt". Ik heb Firefox gedeïnstalleerd en weer geïnstalleerd; ik heb Firefox gedeïnstalleerd, alle Firefox-registervermeldingen ongedaan gemaakt, en Firefox weer geïnstalleerd; ik heb de oplossingspagina voor de foutmelding "Beveiligde verbinding mislukt" gevolgd, TLS 1.0 en 1.1 geactiveerd. Niets helpt. Ik gebruik Bitdefender als Internet Security. Omdat het allemaal wel werkt met de browsers Edge en Vivaldi, kom ik tot de conclusie dat het aan Firefox ligt. Echter, op mijn Macbook zit ook Firefox en Bitdefender; daarop werkt het allemaal wel: ik kan DigiD-gebonden websites zonder meer benaderen. En ook op een andere pc, waarop Firefox en Bitdefender zijn geïnstalleerd, werkt het allemaal. De conclusie zou dus moeten zijn, dat het aan mijn pc ligt. Ik gebruik Windows 10, geheel up to date. Graag suggesties hoe het kan worden opgelost.

When watching some streams on Youtube on Firefox, my graphics card will boost to max clocks and down over and over, in turn heating up my gpu over and over and eventually reaching the point where my card heats up enough that the fans turn on. This causes my MSI Afterburner gpu temperature curve to look like a continually rising set of sharp shark teeth.

This issue seems to not affect all Youtube streams, but most of the ones I watch. It does not occur when hardware acceleration is turned off. On Chrome and Edge this issue is not present even when watching the same stream and with hardware acceleration turned on.

Watching streams on Youtube should not heat up a card this hard and boost clocks over and over for no good reason, and I hope the Firefox team can resolve this as quick as possible.

I have an account where I have addons that I published and support. I have 2 factor authentication. But I moved to a new iphone (the whole data was copied to a new mobile) BUT google authenticator doesn't copy all keys. So now I can't access Firefox account. I had firefox log in on another device, I have even a page opened with all my addons on the screen, but if I try to open settings - it requires me to insert the code. I don't have it. and FAQ says that's all, create a new account. The best solution would be: - user lost keys? - freeze the account for 1/2/3 months. If there is no activity, reset the 2nd authentication.

Why not? Why do we need to create new account? How can I move all my addons to the new one?

New Update for Mac for Firefox does not allow me to print checks which requires a preview of the check I am going to print. I have to switch browsers to use my Quickbooks. I have always been able to use Firefox until this last update. I also received and invoice that allowed me to download to a PDF, but it did not allow this to happen.

Since v97 (approximately) the print dialog panel has not worked properly. None of the drop-down menus work in the control box on the right. For instance, I can't change the print destination to PDF, I can't change the paper size to A4, it's stuck at 'US Letter' (a size of paper that is virtually unobtainable in GB), I can't change the pages I print, it's stuck at 'all'. The only controls that work are Copies, Orientation and Scale.

I've done all the Troubleshooting steps in the Help pages but nothing has changed the defective behaviour of the print dialog, either for the better or for the worse.

Can you advise?

Prior to upgrade to FF 97 used to be able to print directly to pdf using a print dialog box. Now it has a different routine and how to select and extra step to get to the same place. How can this be corrected?

Hi - My old email address no longer functions. I need to change it from ... @ltk.com to a new address ... @omsoft.com...BUT when I enter the new address as the secondary address it says that address already exists. How do I get rid of the old one and retain only the new one? Thanks Tom

I rarely login to Firefox, or Mozilla, but with the demand that all Pocket users must use Firefox/Mozilla logins from now on, I have tried to use the F/M logins, but it's really not working very well, see below.

1) The main login page for F/M is: https://accounts.firefox.com/

1a) Doesn't it make sense to have the login at the Mozilla level, here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ ?

1b) OK, since it is at the Firefox level, the login page is driving me nuts. I use Norton Password Mgr and nothing shows up on this page to get Norton to fill in the blanks for me. Is there something actively blocking accounts.firefox.com -- a.ff.com that prevents an overlay from Norton PW Mgr?

1c) Once I paste my PW into that area, I arrive on https://accounts.firefox.com/settings that is a nutty homepage. Please choose anything else except the settings page that has a big red "Delete Account" on it at the bottom.

1d) So on the settings page there is a section that says: "Connected Services." Hey, I see Pocket! Great, I click on Pocket and.... well it sends me to a Pocket page where I am not logged on???? What? I am logged on to a.ff.com so why wouldn't you pass the PW under the covers to have me logged in when I click from a secure page in ff? Make it easy for us users, please.

1e) I believe a federated website is in order. If I am logged into a.ff.com then why am I not logged into Pocket automatically and with no effort by me, when I arrive at the Pocket website? This is relatively easy to do under the covers to make it... easier for the user.

2) OK, now I am moving over to Pocket's website, but since F/M owns pocket, I think I am still in the correct support page.

2a) I logged into M/F and then bring up another browser tab and go to Pocket. I should be logged into Pocket as stated above. I am not. So, I try to use Norton PW Mgr again. Hey, the Norton PW-M overwrite is there! Yeah! I click on it, it fills in my ID, Yea! I click on it again it fills in my PW. Great! I click Login and, nothing. I try again to login, nothing. I type my ID and paste in my 16-digit password with random symbols, numbers and u/l case letter, nothing. Why is this not working? Here is the bug: cannot log in to Pocket with my ID and PW.

2b) I go back to a.ff.com > Settings > Connected Services and see that a.ff.com thinks that I logged in to Pocket a few minutes ago? Really? Well Pocket does not think I am logged in??? I go up to the 3x3 squares in the upper right-hand corner and select Pocket, nope, that does not get me logged in either. I look at this Pocket website (https://getpocket.com/en/pocket-and-firefox/?src=ff_bento) and click on "Activate Pocket in Firefox" and it shows me the old a.ff.com login. I enter the PW and... wait... yes! I am logged in to Pocket.

2c) Clearly that was insane. I cry for my peers who like to read (with Pocket) and hate Chrome.

3) Please F/M people, tell me there are a bunch of bugs and design errors due to the absorption of Pocket's website and you have not had time to fix them yet?

4) Or, tell me what ff setting I change that blew my user experience out of the water?

FF 97.0. Win10

Thought I may have installed a virus. Just updated FF today and saw that there are some issues similar but not close.

It didn't happen immediately, but slow-rolled in. No popups and no diverting pages, etc., so I really don't know what the issue is. Virus seems likely.

Ran 2 AV products. Nine PUPS detected by MBAM. All installed by PC Cleaner. Installed a second AV and I got 560 hits - all seemingly cookies placed by PC Cleaner and 1 adware tracker by same.

I cannot open FF. I am having a problem with Edge. Only IE seems to be working. Massive downtime with *Edge not responding* and identically with other Outlook based programs (OL.com and Office Outlook.) Every time I try to open FF, the box pops up telling me FF crashed. Sent reports, which I cannot open. Of course, I uninstalled and reinstalled FF, but still...

I should be able to report the link, but unsure where to go. In unfamiliar territory on a different browser that I hate and without the settings (and addons) that I love. Keyboard now acting strangely, but it is fairly beat up.

PILE ON ME today!
