I am locked out of my primary Firefox account due to 2FA being enabled, loss of 2FA device, and cannot locate my backup auth codes. I still have control of the primary and secondary email addresses associated with the account. It seems like that should be enough to be able to delete the account, but there doesn't appear to be any way to do that. I would be glad to send email from one/both of those addresses if it would help facilitate the account being deleted.
I also have a Firefox Relay subscription active under that account, which is why I cannot just abandon it and use a new account.

When I log into my financial institution, it asks for my user name and password. This is normal. However, tonight when I tried to log in, a window popped up asking for my fingerprint It identified itself as coming from Firefox. This has not happened before. Is this action true? or a scam? If true, do you know why it has started popping up? (Did I flip a switch in the browser, then forget about it?) I've attached a screen grab of the window. Thanks for your help Tom

I use FireFox with Windows 10.
Recently I had a website that would not allow me to pay no matter what. Their Techs had me do EVERYTHING - - including deleting and changing all kinds of settings. Still nothing worked. (I don't even know how to get back normal settings, but I don't trust anyone and have all kinds of permissions turned off). Then they told me it was a problem with their website. This process took over 6 hours speaking with many multiple morons worldwide.
Now, another website will not function normally - it says SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE.
How can I fix this?
I already emailed and told them to renew their certificate.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I use a web app for learning guitar at https://www.fender.com/play It used the microphone to grade your playing Using Firefox 107.0 (64 bit) under Linux Mint - after a recent upgrade the mic stopped working at this site Fender play says, " Microphone access | We require microphone access to give feedback on your playing | Please click "Allow" or "Share"above to provide it for us."
But 'old' dialog box requesting permission never shows up. Address bar shows 'mic icon', but clicking on it does nothing
If I google "mic test" the mic seems to work fine at a "testing" site
I think Fender actually uses MatchMySound1.com to analyze -- Has some setting permission possibly changed? Works in Firefox 102.5esr using Debian
BTW: = Settings | Privacy & Security | microphone [settings] doesn't seem useful
Thanks in advance

Hello,
we use firefox in our company and the requirement appeared to turn on the security setting "Delete cookies and sitedata when closing Firefox" due to our security guidelines.
I´ve already checked the "Enterprise Policy Generator" Plugin, but there is no such option. Is there a possibilty to check this option and block it for the user by the about:config page?
Thanks in advance, J.Stempel

Today I used firefox on my PC, using duckduckgo. I searched "iKnee" which is a brand of knee massager. I found that site but also in the search results there were several offensive porn sites listed. The first time that's ever happened. Why has it happened this time? Can I prevent it happening again?

Latest Firefox update 104.0 started displaying "This connection is not secure. Logins entered here could be compromised" again after previously being disabled. It's an annoying message that pops up on my intranet logins and I want it disabled again. I did the usual in about:config and set security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled to False and security.insecure_password.ui.enabled to False like previously, but the message is still there. It seems that latest update is forcing this message and ignoring the settings to disable them. Please help!

Hi,
when I open Firefox with my default page (https://mail.google.com/...) I always get two queries for entering a password. But indeed I do not have saved any password for this site. Thus I also cannot find an entry in the login/password list.
Thus I simply cancel the queries and everything works fine.
So why do I get the nasty queries and how can I remove them?
Thanks

Why? Also it started doing this on other site like ENGADGET.com and GIZMODO.com. No matter what I have tried I can not get this behavior to stop and as I stated it happening on multiple machines. Please help because it extremely annoying.
I have never had Mcafee loaded on either computer system and I do not use it at all. I have check to see if was installed and there is not app to remove and my register on my computer system is clean. Hopefully this is enough detail to help me.

Hello, some years ago I found how to prevent FF to ask for the master password too often. Obviously, this setting involved the about:config editing. Now, I'd like to reduce this time because I'm requested for the master password only at FF launching and I cannot find the options I changed. I looked for options with the word "expire", but it doesn't seem to affect the situation. What was the option I changed? Or what is it now (in case latest FF versions have different options)? Thanks
Help me find the Menu button.
